We had some concern about the registration of mortgage documents because of recently publicized differences between a collateral and conventional mortgage. After our second chat we sent her our lender's article on it just to make her aware of what we're talking about and to explain our reasons for bringing it up. Her next email said she can't guarantee anything and that she could only do the forms to be registered according to the lender's instructions. She then said she couldn't help us and suggested we get another lawyer. All we wanted was to bring the issue to her attention so that we're not seeing any problems on the date we sit down to sign papers. Her overreaction was completely unwarranted and completely unprofessional. I will never come to this firm again.

My main purpose in hiring a consultant was for the peace of mind of knowing I was not making more mistakes. Accordingly, I had a lot of questions for Patrick, and he was always prompt and available. We communicated by email, WeChat, and voice call. He was always good humoured, and he had the correct answers. I didn't make any more mistakes. You should know, though, that even though there is a consultant helping you, there is still a lot of work for you to do. You will still need to collect, translate, and notarize a lot of documents from various government offices, because a consultant cannot get them for you. And you will have to pay quite a lot of money, but 101's fee was considerably less than what the big companies were charging. I vouch for Patrick Leong as a reliable and trustworthy immigration consultant, and that is worth a lot of peace of mind.
