This is a Newmarket favorite and is popular so you will have to book most nights to get a table. The dress code is smart casual to formal. There are great wines to choose from and the desserts are decadent. Other than the desserts, my favorites are the grilled goat's cheese for a starter and chicken gorganzolla for an entree. Service is hit or miss and parking can be a pain but nonetheless it is still a hit.

Frankie was a child of an Italian immigrant in the 1920s, he grew up in his father's restaurant cooking and serving their favourite traditional meal. After his father's retirement, Frankie became friends with Benny an American, they took over the restaurant and combined their dishes, which today make up the Frankie & Benny's menu. awww. what a happy ending. Anyway, my experience there was also a happy one. The food I ate there just had an attitude most restaurant lack, maybe it is because of its combination of Italian and American taste. The separate bar area had lovely drinks, which I managed to prevent myself from having too much as I still had my meal to eat. I ordered my food after I took my seat at the eating area. Even though the restaurant was quite full, my food arrived under 10-12mins. For the appetiser, I had Bruschetta and the main meal was their oven baked chicken parmigana, which is chicken breast, coated in garlic sauce, topped with ham, melted mozzarella and served on Neapolitan spaghetti. The taste was superb, the chicken breast was succulent and the spaghetti with roasted red peppers was truly tasty. I had a cup of espresso (£1.40 single) after the massive meal as I had no place to fit dessert. The second best thing about this restaurant apart from the food is their child-friendly environment. If you have child/children who are very active and prevent you from eating, this restaurant has good ways of keeping your children busy i.e. puzzle,colouring and even family interactive games, it is truly a family affair. They also provide vegetarian option, sea food and other unusual menu you will expect to find in an American style restaurant. The bill was about £16 for a two-course meal, I have to admit that it is not the cheapest of places to go, but the servings are large and environment is just right for family outing.
