I have never been inside the restaurant because I always order delivery, but this place is the best! Fairly priced and you get a lot for your money. I love how you spend £20 and they give you prawn chips which are so crispy and tasty, although they are sinful. I really look forward to my free prawn chips.
Delivery is free also. Best of all the take credit cards over the phone.
Our orders have always been perfect, spot on. Never a complaint.
Crab meat and sweet corn soup is good. Prawns with fresh tomatoes was weird, I got mixed up and thought prawns were some other type of seafood and I was expecting something else, but English use prawn interchangeably with shrimp. So think of shrimp cooked with fresh tomatoes, weird right?
One time I splurged and ordered the half Crispy Aromatic Duck served with pancakes, hoi sin sauce, cucumber and spring onion. It was very good, although oily. Not sure if duck is supposed to be that oily, but it was really good and I enjoyed it. Probably won't order it again because it was £13.00.
Their claim to fame is the duck chow mein, it is to die for! I suggest ordering this dish. Again, it is on the unhealthy side, so if you are on a diet, it will be ruined.
Ordered the chicken curry, it was more of a green curry, but none of the less very good and a bit spicy.
As an appetiser the crispy wan ton and the barbecued spare ribs are decadent.
My favourite little Chinese place in Newmarket. Same quality and service every time. read more
