Following up on my last experience here. The restaurant had contacted me and asked me to come in so they could give me the correct order free of charge. And on top of that, they also gave me a gift card for future use. I can't remember exactly what the amount was. I wanna say it was $20 but I'll never find out. Why? Keep on reading. So months later, I finally decided to go back to the restaurant to use the gift card. Keep in mind, this location is so far out of my way I don't come here often. I usually would order delivery as noted in my original review. But guess what? When I had placed my order and I tried using the gift card, I was told that the gift card was the 'old' version and might not be usable anymore. And it wasn't usable. They tried swiping it, they tried calling the number on the card, they tried everything, but the gift card was just useless. I mean seriously? What a waste of time and gas driving here. So I paid for my order and I left. I'm giving up on this location. I do have to mention though; the two times I came into this location the staff were all helpful and friendly. So there's that. But that still doesn't make up for the horrible, horrible experience with wrong orders and gift cards that don't work. read more

Today 09/24/21: I ordered the chicken sandwich waited about 10 min or so in drive thru mind you I'm the only vehicle. Employees are eating bare handed and working on preparing my food at the same time. When I received my sandwich it was the sloppiest thing I have ever seen. Bun was all smooshed up and cold. Fries were just not done right and ketchup packets were dirty and tasted like straight vinegar. How can an employee serve this without acknowledging the mess they are giving? Decided to try this place since everyone talks about not. What a horrible experience. I have never ever waited in a drive thru for my food for 25+ min, I wanted to get out of the line but it was impossible and so were the other cars trying to do. I could see the employees just lingering around, going back and forth to the back but it helping anyone. There was only one couple eating inside. So why the 30 min wait for food? When made it to the order screen, I see this beautiful picture of a fish sandwich with tarry sauce and lettuce and tomatoes, but that was not what I got. Not until I get home and open my box I get to see this nasty looking thing! with nothing else but a nasty fried piece of fish. My kids nuggets and fries were also horrible, they were starving but didn't eat, that's how bad food was that not even the fries kids eat. Definitely not coming back, not recommend it. read more

Got the 6 piece chicken tender combo and the 3 piece fried chicken combo. Each combo came with a side and a drink. Got fried okra and Cole slaw! Both sides were good! As for the chicken tenders, it was crispy, flavorful but dry. Zing sauce was heavyyyy! I prefer ketchup. Fried chicken was amazing! It was crispy, hot, and flavorful! One of the best fast food fried chicken. Definitely comparable to Popeyes and church's! Overall, worth coming back for the fried chicken and sides. read more

Their customer service is HORRIBLE. First time here and it will be the last. They need to reeducate their staff on SIMPLE customer service skills or the employees should look for another job. The guy taking my order would interrupt my husband as he was placing his order, seemed frustrated and couldn't even say a simple please or thank you. Went through the drive thru, asked for the 25 piece tender meal, with 3 sides, and rolls...ordered the Mc and cheese, rice and fries...was told that the chicken would take 10 minutes, told them it was fine. Proceeded to wait 30 minutes for our food. Service blew me away !!!! The reviews about the slow drive through are unfortunately true but service was unforgettable!!! Such sweet guys at the counter nice enough to tell me about the half off Monday specials !!!!! So when you go on mondays everything is half off ! Golden chick tops all of the chicken sandwiches I've had. I love their golden tender sandwich and their zing sauce! Also they make their tenders fresh and it's always 10/10. I love their fries. My wife and I drive over to this location on a regular basis for their chicken tenders. The chicken is great and the staff has always been courteous, professional, friendly and very attentive and helpful. Although it's a fairly long drive for us we always enjoy the food and service which more than makes up for the time on the road to get there. Delicious but... Orders take a while to be completed, at least the last time I went. They have specials that they post in the awkwardest places. I'm not sure if it's so you don't see it, or if they want you to see it & order it the next time. That's just my opinion. Besides that, their food is AMAZING! A coworker introduced me to a local Golden Chick this summer and ever since then, I've been hooked. Their chicken tenders are better than raising canes, chick fil a- basically the best "fast food" chicken tenders I've had in Houston. Honestly if you're friendly to the workers here they'll be friendly back to you. I say that bc I've read the comments on here about the rude workers and I didn't necessarily experience that (hope I won't regret saying this). Anyway I ordered online and went to pick it up- food was hot and good!!!! Don't sleep on GOLDEN CHICK YALL! They need better PR and marketing to gain more customers, but all in all, what fast food spot do you know of that serves fried fish?! And I'm talking fried fish like the quality you'd get at any local American restaurant. It's not as big as Texas Roadhouse' catfish, but a good decent size for what you're paying. i wish i could leave 1 star. they are SHITTY asf. its dry and dirty in there. i went there with my mom and when we first go in everyone looked at us 3 times, including the "manager" but didnt greet us until about 5 mins passed then a young boy walked up askin were we ready like duhhh we been ready since we came in because my mom ordered online. After he took my order he immediately got on his phone the manager was not "managing" she had no hat on nor a headset which when i trained there then worked at the S.Post Oak location for 3-4 years about 4 years ago the MOD are supposed to wear a headset along with whoever works drive thru. A girl in there with braids down her back with no hat OR a hairnet then the other boy wearing a durag with NO hat with a headset on thats blinking red which means someone is waiting at the speaker OR the headset is goin DEAD. when i trained there that was UNACCEPTABLE. even when we finally opened the Post Oak location they did not let us be shitty like that.. atp they need to just close down bissonet because they have POOR customer service those young folks dont want to be there. I discovered this place on uber eats and ordered directly from them. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! I got the half and half six piece tenders and they were so juicy and well seasoned. Even the yeast roll that it comes was delish. Their zing sauce was to die for it was sooo good even better than one at Raising Kanes. They have a couple of little meals to choose from. Try them i went to the one off of Bissonnet. I am so happy I decided to try them out! The staff is so kind and welcoming , and the service was beyond expectation which is rare in fast food places tbh. I ordered the chicken tenders meal and i was truly amazed by the quality. My chicken was hot and fresh , surprisingly not overcooked and was tasty! I ordered half spicy and half mild and both are amazing & the spicy actually made me drink a lot of water xD The mac and cheese was okay and served hot. The meal was also served with a yeast roll which LEMME TELL YOU was AMAZING!!!! so buttery and didn't make you want to choke like the popeyes biscuits. Also they have a complimentary ice cream machine for dine in customers which was a huge plus! I will definitely be visiting again. :) My only con would be that they should advertise more for sure and try adding in some special promos to get more customers! read more

This was the 2nd time I been here in the last 2 weeks. I had the catfish w/dirty rice and mac and cheese the 1st visit. Catfish was decent, wish there was more meat but not bad. Both sides were fresh and good. And I didnt know about their rolls. NoW I know...fresh and yum. 2nd visit I tried their wings and dirty rice again. Ordered more rolls this time and got a fried chicken thigh to try out. WIngs were crispy and fresh and the chicken thigh as well. And again the rolls didnt disappoint. Sorry to say though, the wait is longer than what I'm use to. Golden Chick Corporate needs shut this place down cause it's not representing the brand like it should. Yesterday, I went into this establishment and place an order for a 3 piece roasted with fries. Well instead of the 2 cooks in the back of the store dropping fries and keeping the food on hand they are just messing off in the back. Consequently, the cashier had to leave her station and drop fries after I have already been waiting 10 minutes she tells me it will be another 5 mins. I just told her give me Mac & Cheese but she barely understands English so she decides to put mashed potatoes instead. I didn't trip until she didn't give me any utensils because THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY. Not only were they out of that, but also seasoning packages and ice as the ice machine in the lobby doesn't work.
