We've been back to Golden Dragon twice very recently and were quite happy with most items. The menu is huge, so we expect we'll find a lot more to like. Their lo mein is totally different than when they first opened and I love it now. I got beef the first time, but it comes with very little, so I opted for vegetable the second time. Not a lot of vegetables throughout (mostly on top, as you can see in the photo), but it was really delicious! Both times the lo mein noodles were the perfect firmness and had great flavor. I want it again and again! Matt didn't enjoy his sesame beef. The batter is too thick, and the beef gets completely lost. I like that they will do sauce on the side. We like to toss it ourselves last minute so that it doesn't get soggy. Better for leftovers, too. They do charge an extra $1.50, but they give you a lot of the sauce. The wonton soup is amazing! A small is only $3.95 and it comes with five big pork wontons. Makes me happy because I get wonton soup cravings. I'll definitely be getting this again. The General Tso's Chicken is spot on. The pork egg rolls are good, your typical egg roll. The crab rangoons are also quite good. Their prices are great and the service has always been friendly. Literally a hole in the wall in downtown Buffalo but it was convenient and inexpensive. I ordered the Sesame Chicken with Fried Rice from the lunch menu. It wasnt the best I've ever had but it was good. There is a small parking lot next to their building that was almost full of cars for the Pot Shop on the corner of the building, next door to the restaurant. read more

Yuk, food was terrible. Shrimp fried rice was just rice and shrimp, no other ingredients. The rice was undercooked and crunchy. The shrimp were tiny, and definitely not fried.The other two dishes were just as bad. This all went in the garbage. read more

We ate there and were not impressed with the food or the general cleanliness of the place.

After reading the yelp reviews, I thought this place was actually going to be OK. The food was so subpar that my partner and I did not finish one dish. The young couple that currently, I guess, own/manage the place don't really seem to care that much... They are friendly, don't get me wrong, but the young lady running the cash register Didn't seem particularly concerned with the quality of the food that she brought out to us. The guy that was cooking I just don't know what he was doing. I've eaten Chinese food in San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, New York City, and now I live in Buffalo and just down the street from this little place. I had the Kung pow chicken, which had no flavor and I'm really not certain what the sauce was. Their fried rice is certainly not fried. It seems to have been steamed and then maybe some spices rolled into it, but certainly not fried rice. the veggie eggrolls were OK because I believe they were store-bought. My partner had their crab Rangoon's and they were decent, but not great. I certainly will never come back here. If you're interested in really great Chinese food, look at my other reviews. We just didn't feel like driving that far to eat Chinese and thought we'd give this little place chance, but again we will never go back. read more

We have been ordering regularly from Golden Dragon ever since the new owners took over. The service is friendly and amazingly quick. Food is always tasty, fresh and hot. I am greeted in a friendly manner by name on the phone, and when I stop by to pick up my order. The kitchen is clean and always busy...two good signs. Pork fried rice was steamed rice colored yellow. Had no egg, no peas , 4 tiny pieces of cooked pork, no green onion and no flavor. The barbecue ribs were very dry and hard over cooked. So this, for years was Chinese Kitchen. Now it is called Golden Dragon. The name change and the person at the counter are the ONLY things that have changed. The menu is the same as is the lack of decor, although it really is a take out place. I did not notice any improvements in the food.
