A fish and chip shop run by a Chinese family, with very friendly service.
They serve the usual fish and chips, with other options including the familiar sausages in batter, pasties, saveloys, fish cakes, beefburgers and fish burgers and spring rolls.
The menu is not the most inspiring choice in terms of fish (ie not the usual range of haddock, coley etc) but the service is quick and friendly, and you get generous portions of chips (be warned - the large portion for £1.60 is enough for two unless you are starving). Veggie options are limited to spring rolls (again large - one is enough) or, if they have them in, cheese and onion pasties.
The chips are cut large - almost like wedges - which won't suit some people, but I prefer them as it means they taste a bit less fatty. read more
