Food is excellent and they are the sweetest people. Although they do in-store dining, it doesn't look like they are utilizing that part of the restaurant at the moment. It's being used for storage. I thought I ordered the beef in garlic sauce but this certainly doesn't look like that. Husband can't eat veggies and this has absolutely no flavor or spices so we tossed it. The beef doesn't take like actual beef, either. The crab Rangoon went in the trash, too. Waste of money. read more

I would say these guys are better than a lot of Chinese places. I ordered delivery, and anything that is breaded then fried always ends up more soggy than if you had ordered at the restaurant, so can't really fault them for that. The portion of black pepper chicken was huge. The rice was properly cooked, and the hot & Sour soup was very good. Crab Rangoon was good too, although a little sweet for my taste. Would definitely order again if I was in Cape Girardeau and wanted Chinese food. Would probably get something non-breaded for delivery, though! read more

We ordered takeout the night we stayed in Jackson. The food was fresh. It wasn't your typical made for Americans Chinese food. I was pleasantly surprised. The hot/sour soup was delish. The Rangoon was tasty. The dumplings were super fresh with more meat than I'm used to inside. We also ordered a spicy chicken dish with veggies. Super fresh. And they threw in a soda for free. The portions were way big which was a surprise from our usual portions we typically receive. Plan accordingly. Enjoy! read more

This is a really good hole in the wall Chinese place. I just happened acrossed it on yelp and decided to give it a try. Everything was really, really good!! I've been a few times and cannot believe how not busy it is since the food is so good. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the selection is small compared to most Chinese buffets. Went here last night again for dinner and it's still just as good as always! Food is hot and fresh and any usual favorites that aren't on the buffet, they can make for you. Jasmine tea is real tea leaves and not just tea from a bag. Also they're good about keeping the buffet up with customer demands so food doesn't run out. Very much recommended! read more

I lived in China for 3 years and I miss traditional Chinese cooking soooooo much!!! I have yet to find traditional Chinese food here but of the restaurants I've tried in the Cape/Jackson area, I like Golden Gate(s?) the best. (Am well aware that in this area I shouldn't expect to find anything but American-Chinese as a traditional Chinese restaurant would probably go out of business quickly.) The gentleman that runs the front of the house is friendly & cheerful. The buffet has a nice selection of items & it's continuously checked on as they don't have huge trays full of food that lose their heat & flavor from sitting out too long. If you want your food to be spicy then you'll have to add the "la jiao" (hot chili) sauce that's in a bottle at the buffet. read more
