We've been ordering the dinner combos. The boneless spareribs are great and there a ton of food for cheap ($22.50 for both of us). I like the pork fried rice and pick up is super fast. Totally different from a few years ago in terms of quality. We went to Way Ho once and it made Golden Place look amazing. So happy it's open again! read more

I ordered takeout and it only took them 10 minutes to prepare. Overall the taste was decent but not top notch. They give you several pounds of rice and are a bit skimpy on the actual entree. The egg foo young was a bit disappointing as it was small and only one piece. The gravy was clearly made using a powder. The fried rice is good along with the small chicken fingers they give you. The General Tso chicken is tasty but they make them so big you get only 6-8 pieces for an entire order. When I walked into the restaurant it was DEAD. There were two people standing up front and I have to agree with the previous review that they seem quite rude. I would never consider eating there just order out. read more

Do not come here. I've never been this fired up in my life because of the terrible customer service, defensiveness and unapologetic attitude from this place. The waitress also had a language barrier, but if she had a better attitude and customer service skills, this situation would have played out differently. I needed to write a BBB review. In a nutshell, my waitress didn't understand English well and completely messed up the order but was also aloof half the time. We asked for eggs in the mooshi but instead she gave us 8 pancakes. 8 vs eggs. (We didn't complain about that until later because my uncle just wanted us to brush it off). My shrimp came out undercooked and this place took it away to "warm it up." Gross but whatever. Another dish consisted of scallops and they were cold in the middle. Perhaps they were frozen and they didn't cook it. The waitress was aloof the entire time and didn't know what to do so she took the cold scallop on my uncles plate and touched it and said "it's not cold, it's just because you left it out". (Room temp vs cold/freezing are two different things). She had the nerve to attempt to search for the 3 remaining scallops and put it on a plate. At that point we told her we didn't want it and to remove it off the check. She didn't, she brought the food out, and brought us the check..mid way during our meal. We complained to the manager and told her to remove it, she had the nerve to tell me that no one else has complained about undercooked food except me. Now, you have me fired up!!! How is this establishment NOT unapologetic about serving undercooked seafood?! She eventually removed it but it's like pulling teeth and this could have been handled very differently. Very nice staff, beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, small and clean. I like the vegetable Lo Mein and the garlic chicken. The crab Rangoon's are done well, not too greasy, and even tho there is probably some MSG in their food like all these places, it seems they keep it to a minimum so you don't have that greasy gassy feeling after you eat here. I just wish they would deliver!! I live one mile away and there is NO Asian delivery in Bourne so they would have the town on lock if they could deliver. When they finally do, they'll have their fifth star. read more

Excellent value! We ordered 8 dishes of takeout for 11 people, but 16 people showed up. We still had leftovers. The food was very good too. Shrimp in spicy tea sauce was very spicy with lots of jumbo shrimp and crisp, fresh veggies. Beef with broccoli had plenty of meat and the broccoli was nice and crisp. Spicy green beans were not too spicy, but plenty of garlic and very crispy. Sweet and sour pork was freshly fried and huge. Chicken in garlic sauce was tender and tasty. They do lots of dishes we'll, although I agree with the other review that their egg foo young isn't great. Go with the Sichuan style dishes and you'll be happy. read more

I've heard great things about this place and I had recently moved to the area so I decided to give it a try. It was only 5 minutes away from me, so I had hoped this would be my to-go Chinese spot. Let me preface this by saying I'm a vegetarian, so people who ordered other dishes may have had (and hopefully did have!) a better experience. I ordered General Tso's tofu for takeout. They placed their (seemingly homemade and very cider-y) ducksauce in a little plastic condiment cup that leaked all in the inside of my takeout bag. I open my tofu to discover they had plopped my sauce on top and couldn't be bothered to even mix it up. Because of this, there was no excess sauce for me to put on my other tofu, so half of my meal had no sauce. The tofu was raw and falling apart on the inside (usually it's fried or cooked in some way) and the outside breading was soggy, falling off, and not fully fried either. I took one bite and threw the rest away; it was mushy and really unappetizing to eat. Most of the broccoli that came with it was withered and inedible. A total waste of $11! When I placed my order over the phone, the man on the line asked me what I wanted, said okay, and was about to hang up the phone. I had to quickly ask how long it would take before he hung up and he didn't take a name or phone number, or tell me the total. When I arrived at Golden Place, a waitress sitting in a booth came over and gave me my food. She hadn't even waited until I had opened my wallet to put my change back in before she had already walked away to go sit back down, without even a "goodnight" or "thank you" or anything. Everything about this experience was a let-down and Golden Place will not be getting my family's business again. A longer drive is worth the better Chinese food! read more

Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely the worse food EVER. How do you screw up a PuPu platter. Half of it seems like it was yesterday's food. It was dry and over, over cooked. The egg drop soup was no better. My husband and I were so totally turned off. I didn't even give it to my dogs! I called them up when I got home and they wanted me to come back for more food. This place is in Bourne and I live in Sandwich, I just told the woman to take it off my credit card. She said she couldn't but she would give me my money back. I went in there today and was treated SO rudely by two other woman who were not the one from the day before. I told them I just wanted my money back, they said where is the food. Funny I was almost going to keep it to show them the egg roll that looked half eaten before I got it. I was really on my way to the dump and I said it was in my Jeep in a trash bag if they wanted it. They actually told me not to come back of course I told them not to worry about that, but wait until a put a review up on Yelp. We have made an effort to try every restaurant in Pocasset. With a house full of people, we ordered from here for the first time. Most of the appetizers were so overcooked that even ravenous children couldn't or wouldn't eat them. The lo mein and fried rice were slightly better. White rice only can go so far. Such a bust! Being a working class guy with working class taste buds, I like this place. It's convenient (Don't have to go over the Bridge) and don't have to go to Yuppieville (Falmouth). Although, Hong Kong is good, too. Pork fried rice is excellent, chicken fingers are the best and the spare ribs are to die for. In my humble opinion. I'm no Gourmet, so make your own choices. I think the food here is pretty mediocre overall. I've tried a variety of dishes on the menu, some are pretty tasty, but some are just really awful. I would avoid the steamed chicken, seafood and sesame chicken. When you pick up your food, half the time it's a small child ringing you out at the register. It's the only Chinese food restaurant in Pocasset. I'd say Peking Palace in Falmouth was the best in the area, but turns out it's closed :( Go to Gourmet Garden in Falmouth or Wareham if you can! read more

Located 3 miles south of the Bourne Bridge, this restaurant has very good Chinese food very nicely served and of course has take out. Unfortunately, there is little in the way of atmosphere. You get your tea a glass of water etc. I ate for lunch this time off the lunch special menu for something new it was ok. The chicken was a little rubbery though and barely any cashews or nuts with the serving as well plenty of white rose which was good and a ton of veggies but almost too many. My mom is a senior citizen and has this saying "I stopped off at the mall on my way home from work and got some cheap Chinese food" Translation: I got some stuff from the mall food court. I walked in and put in a order for pork fried rice, boneless spare ribs, chicken fingers & 1 egg roll (a combo meal) when I got home I open the container it looks like something from the food court. Confirmed. It tasted how it looked. I wasn't impressed. Chicken fingers were soggy. The boneless spareribs weren't all fat which was good. Egg roll normal. Pork fried Rice - definitely food court quality, meh. FYI noticed it's a beer & wine only licensed place. My thought on the way home was I should have stopped at the Way Ho Chinese food restaurant in buzzards bay, but I didn't - the parking lot was full. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is the best take out Chinese we've ever had. It tastes fresh, which is unusual for this type of fare. The portions are generous, price is reasonable, and the lunch special is an awesome deal! Most importantly though, the food isn't greasy or rubbery. Ugh this place was gross. Complete waste of my $45. I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area and was trapped in cape cod for the summer. I wanted Panda Express level Chinese food one night here in Bourne so I decided to try this place. My expectations were already low just because cape cod tends to fail when it comes to ethnic foods (seriously, where the heck is the diversity in this place?) but I was desperate. I ordered the crab rangoons, orange chicken, fried shrimp, and chicken fried rice. The rice was awful, it was dry and had a weird chemical taste. The chicken in it was so white and unflavored. The rangoons were soggy and oddly sweet. The fried shrimp was god knows what. It seemed like shrimp that was fried in a thick cloth. There was no crunch and it was really bad. The orange chicken was okay. But i would never get it again, definitely doesn't leave you wanting more. I ended up throwing most the food away. Setting my standards to Panda Express is not that hard to match or even top, yet this place didn't even come close. Do yourself a favor, accept that cape cod is a place with mediocre food and certainly not a place to try ethnic foods. They just don't have a clue and businesses are taking advantage of the populations bland, boring palate by trying to market this place as good Chinese food. read more
