He told me he personally hires all of his painters, and they are professional guys and know what they are doing. Great! I got a quote for the work, which was a reasonable price, and was told to call the office next week to get a time scheduled. I almost dropped the company because getting a hold of anyone in the office was a NIGHTMARE. I am a teacher and work pretty much straight through from 7:30 until 3:30 pm. I tried several times to call during my lunch, but never got through to who I needed to get through to. When I would call after work, the scheduler was out of the office. We played phone tag several times, with her calling me at 9 am, and me calling back when I got off work to find she was gone. Finally, we were able to connect and we got the work scheduled. They came out, painted, and it was done. When I came home from work, I discovered a TERRIBLE paint job in both of the rooms we had done. In the kitchen, the painter had gotten inch-thick stripes of the ceiling paint on the wall. In the bathroom, the painter had left the spot behind the toilet unpainted because he "couldn't reach it." We hired a company because we knew spots like that would be harder to paint. We thought we were hiring a professional painter, not an amateur. They came back out the next day and fixed it. However, they maintained that they never put the paint on the kitchen wall, and even claimed to have photos proving it was there before they painted the ceiling. We asked to see the photos, and they never did show them to us. They told us they "wanted to make it right" but still maintained that they had not done it in the first place. I had talked to the owner on the phone beforehand so he knew what was going on, and he had been confident that his office manager would get it handled and we would be very happy. This was not the case. Two days after our bathroom was painted, the paint was peeling off the ceiling. We didn't even bother calling them back to fix it. We have washed our hands of this painting company, and I am just spreading the word so that no one else makes the mistake we made.

This is our third house and we've had a lot of different painting crews over the years in different locations, but these guys are hands down the best. I'm generally overly critical when assessing the details of a job done on my house and most of the time feel that while not great, the job done is "good enough". Not so with Troy's crew, Cole and Bob came in set up and got down to it. When everything was all said and done I was blown away by the level of precision and quality of the work done. On top of the great quality they were a pleasure to deal with; easy going, accommodating, and very professional. I'm glad that we were able to find such an excellent crew on our first attempt. Which is one of the reasons I am doing one now. Glad I called Troy. He and his company lived up to their hype. His crew was timely, professional and did overall good work. They even repaired a fence that was damaged by the siding company. I found Troy to be incredibly responsive through calls, emails and text which goes a very long way on house projects. He was not the cheapest (fell into that trap the last time) but also not the most expensive either. Will use them in the future.

I ended up being rather disappointed that they didn't do the prep work they promised during my estimate. I already have paint bubbling up and corners that have paint coming off. I was told that they would scrape, sand and power wash to provide a good surface before painting. My price included painting my gutters and prepping the front of my house. They didn't end up needing to do either of those things, yet there was no deduction in price. The job was mediocre at best and at the end of the day cost too much given the results.
