The first time I brought my car in was because my engine was failing and the previous shop just wanted to change the oil pump even though I knew it was complete engine failure, but they refused to drop the oil pan even though I had asked them many times to check there first as was suggested by many on the car forums. That's when my brother suggested I try Mountainside Auto as he had been going there for years and was very pleased, so I got my car towed immediately there. Luckily I brought it to these guys, they dropped the oil pan immediately and diagnosed engine failure. Not only has my car been running flawlessly with the new engine, but they also secured as much as they could from my lubrico warranty to help pay for the bill! They suggested an air filter change as it was dirty. I said go ahead. Should have priced it first but that is my issue. Upon picking up the vehicle the total was now $171.29!! That means the air filter and labour to install was $102.61! I was a but shocked at the time but paid the bill. After researching online with prices I called them back to report my displeasure with the amount. They were not impressed and simply claimed that it was normal amount for what they did.
