A couple nights ago we had the steak filet (very good) and the lamb filet (fantastic). After being seated, fresh warm rolls with butter are brought to the table. We had a beer and a Shiraz (super). The Shiraz paired well with the lamb, which was served in a wine sauce. Really. It was amazing. Green beans wrapped in bacon and two potato au gratin stacks were served with the lamb. Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavors, well-balanced. The dessert served with the lamb dinner was a chocolate mousse which I didn't really care for. It wasn't bad, rather, a bit too sweet after the dinner and there wasn't enough of the chocolate flavor. It came with a small scoop of what I think was caramel ice cream. This was delicious. There is a main dining room and several smaller rooms, all of which have wonderful architecture and individual charm. The service is unsurpassed. TIPS: 1) Make a reservation! 2) Perfect for a casual meeting, business meeting or a romantic night out. 3) Although, people do take their kids here, it's not recommended unless your kids are very well-behaved. The restaurant is quite fancy and opens up inside and has an additional balcony seating area (with very narrow stair steps!). We were all provided a 3-course meal menu where we each pick an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. For an appetizer I had the prawns and they were very cold, crispy and meaty. Very tasty. I chose the Arsenaal skewers for the entree; two skewers with three different protein selections. They were all tender and well-cooked, but could have had a few choices of dips or sauces to accompany them. For dessert I had the chocolate spoon cake and it was moist and delicious! They also brought bottomless french fries to the table. They weren't great as there was no salt or seasoning...just bland steak fries. Overall this place is quite nice and would be a pretty nice romantic dinner location with your significant other.
