Sound as an Irish Pound Lads & Lasses!…read more First off, I would drive 2-3 hours for a good round of golf, and driving to Glengarry is no different. It's almost a straight shot on the 417 East, on the other side of Ottawa, almost at the Quebec border, even the US border as well, but the drive and fall scenery are magnificent. The course is a bit difficult to navigate to without a map or some type of navigational device, but that doesn't detract from the overall impression I have. I am surprised there aren't more reviews for this course than what is out there, and on the sites I frequent, there are none. The drive up is nice, the trees lining the drive up, but it's the view from the first (and 10th) tee box that start the majestic views for this course. The challenges vary from hole to hole, some have wide welcoming fairways with challenging pin placements, other holes require precision golf leading up to a wide green. Some of the greens are generally flat with little break, and others will wreak havoc on your inertia if you're not careful. But that is one of the beauties of the game. There are a couple of holes that will tempt you to "go for it" and shave a couple of strokes off your round, but beware. If you miss, you'll add those strokes you went to subtract. The staff I met there are extremely friendly and cordial, as well as some of the other patrons I encountered, which always makes the experience that much better. My biggest point of a golf course are tee box repair boxes, which Glengarry has. If you see 300+ golfers in a day and no means to repair divots (one of the biggest golf etiquette points), the tee boxes can look like a mud pit to say the least. The repair kits take a second to sprinkle some dirt mix on your divot and you go, for those that don't know about repairing your divots. For the duffer to the scratch golfer, I recommend Glengarry. You will not be disappointed!!!

I have been golfing considerably more this summer. I have always considered UFO as a sort of home…read morecourse in all my years golfing. Always have had an amazing time, the course is simply beautiful and the staff has always been friendly. Yesterday did not follow the pattern that I was so used to when golfing at UFO. When me and my friend were unloading our carts in the parking lot after completing the 9 hole course, we were approached by a car, the individual identified himself as the owner and began to accusingly interrogate us about our intentions. Dumbfounded by a stranger who with an aggressive tone begins to confront me. Ufo has always been a prestigious establishment in my eyes, the staff and golfing greens further proving this, however I was saddened to realize that this standard did not live up when considering ownership. I would think that a business owner would give its clientele the benefit of the doubt (as he probably thought I was stealing the carts for some reason) but I guess not. I have been to this course many times and have probably spent over 500$ in the last couple of weeks. This leaves me with a very sour taste in my mouth. It's hard for me to consider going back to UFO. I guess poor ownership really does ruin great courses.

Quite enjoyed this lovely mini golf course, although the 2 hour wait really, REALLY sucks. Come…read moreprepared for this. Cascades is beautifully maintained, but the holes are a bit boring, lots of short putts, everything is PAR 2. Not very many obstacles TBH, maybe I was spoiled on the West Coast with awesome windmill and skill obstacles. The super-low skill level probably makes it more kid-friendly, and mostly it was parents with young kids. They know where the market is, tho seniors and teenagers get $1 off regular price ($13 instead of $14) what a deal, LOL. I'd come back, but goddamn, bring some water or food or something, it's a long f'n wait. We even joked about calling Skip the Dishes while we we were waiting. Only decent mini-golf in Montreal area, apparently. Worse wait than Disneyland. Expect to stand in line (line ride) for at least an hour, then another hour (bench ride) until you golf. Kudos to all the kids who kept their behaviour controlled through the brutal boring wait. Keeps the ice cream shop flush I guess. They are definitely set up better to sell ice cream to a captive audience than they are to accommodate hoards of folks coming to mini-golf. The real money is there after all.

I used to come here as a kid with my parents…read more The course is so much fun and brought back many great childhood memories. Tons of different pars and challenges. The fact that each hole is on a different level makes this mini putting experience enjoyable and different from other places. However, be advised that there is an initial 40min wait to get to the first hole on a busy day. It is still worth it. Prices are decent and not too expensive for what you play for. Grab an ice cream at the local ice cream shop in the same complex when you're done, it's delicious!
