When I asked her to repeat the email back to me (since she got it wrong) , she pronounced my name wrong multiple times, and when I corrected her, she got flustered and hung up the phone. She was condescending, and seemed a little racist, considering my last name is really not hard to pronounce. I had to call back multiple times to speak to a supervisor or corporate, since she still could not provide the receipt. She went on a verbal tirade and slammed the phone. Update: Debbie ended up sending the receipt, however she spammed my personal inbox with 25+ reservation confirmations from my stay over a month ago. She has made this process difficult. I will have to reconsider my hotel selection in the future, thanks to her lack of professionalism.

For my experience: The hotel staff were patient and excellent to work with while sorting out a corporate/gov't payment card that took a few days to iron out. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and spacious I never used the pool or hot tub but they looked nice and inviting (note to self: pack a swim suit!). The breakfast options were plentiful and changed daily. The on-site laundry facility was a great bonus -- convenient and affordable. The hotel manager went out of his way to ensure my extended stay was good. I appreciated that personal touch. I was even assisted with enrolling in the Wyndham Rewards Program, which earned me Platinum status due to my length of stay... and earned Wyndham a new loyal customer. Special thanks to Cory and his entire team at AmericInn Crookston!

We were there last week, you would think they could space people out in rooms with very few staying. We had two adjoining room and on the far side was a drunk group that puked and you could hear it two rooms over. Upon entering the buildings the exterior and hallways were trashy. The water park had just opened on Thursday and all the trash barrels were full. Bathrooms were not something you would want to use in water park. The entire property needs a serious cleaning and painting. The check in process was very slow. Sorry to see this property not taken care of, will not return.

Shift change should never be more than 30 minutes. When checking out, the attendant was outside smoking (after watching us walk in to checkout and saw me standing there for 30 min) Finally when I approached him because I couldn't wait anymore he assured me he would check me out. It has been 2 weeks now and they are still holding my money. When I called to get it out the woman assured me I would get an email to send my back to release my funds. When I was trying to explain the situation, she continued to cut me off and not listen to anything was saying. She said, " I will personally handle it myself at midnight and have the form to you right away" That was just a lie to get me to stop complaining. I will never return to any of their properties. Absolutely disgusting behavior, customer service and terrible management. All while holding my money, I left our room in pristine condition when I left so there was absolutely no reason to hold it for 30 days. Lazy Lazy management and employees.

Neither of us received an email confirmation but we showed up anyway, hoping we'd have a place to lay our heads at night. We arrived and there were no cars in the parking lot. There was one employee at the desk. I had a reservation, while my colleague did not. Luckily, they were able to give her the same rate. There is no elevator so pack lightly - there are two stairways. When we were first checking in, the stairs in the entryway to the building were locked and unable to be opened, which made it hard to pull my wheels bag up the stairs. The keys are not a swipe or an insert, but simply a touch on an electronic pad on the door, which I liked. There are Neutrogena products in the bathroom in case you forget your personal hygiene products. They offer two king beds and one king bed rooms. There are three remotes, which is kind of confusing, but there are a ton of cable channels. A fridge, coffeemaker and microwave are here for all of your needs with Wolfgang Puck coffee and accompaniments. The bed is cozy with an adequate amount of pillows. I can hear car doors closing from the second floor over the tv, but otherwise it's pretty quiet. The three star rating is really based on these things: 1. Difficulty trying to make a reservation 2. No elevator 3. Locked door in entryway.

Go back down the elevator, desk clerk was friendly, said she had no idea how that happened, Found us a second room on the same floor. Went to the door, scanned the keycard and yup, someone was already checked in that room as well. Marched back down a bit more frustrated. Got the same story. This time she put us on the penthouse floor. Third time was a charm. Day 2- We went to the water park. The guy there had no clue what he was doing. Gave us the wrong wristbands (not sure what the difference was), then switched them out and gave us more bands than we needed (a win for us). Although there are signs everywhere stating a waver must be filled out he never mentioned us filling one out. Day 3 - no issues Day 4 - our last night. Get up, go grab a bite of breakfast, and straight to the water park where once again, the young lady there just waived us on...no bands no waiver. A few hours later (2:20 pm) go back to the room to shower....only to find never cleaned and no towels. Call downstairs Jonah apologizes and says towels will be up right away and scheduled our room to be cleaned in an hour. At 2:55 called again for towels, a different person answers and informs us she just came on shift and did not know any thing about it. Within 3 minutes we had towels. Get ready, go downstairs to meet Jonah. Who dry rudely tells us it's too late in the day for housekeeping to clean the room. Then preceded to bash others for not doing their jobs and that they would be reprimanded. Other than that...no real issues.

Rooms were spacious and provided a coffee bar area with microwave and fridge. A desk and couch were also available in my king room. Bathroom amenities were lacking, toiletries were not of great quality, I'm glad I brought my own for this sort of situation. Plenty of towels, hairdryer included which is pretty standard. The bed, however, was hard. It felt like I was sleeping on a box spring and not a mattress. I did appreciate that the mattress was encased in a mattress protector. The pillows were great and I was able to use those to support my back and make the bed a bit more comfy. This was my first experience at CanadInn and as a Marriott enthusiast I can see why this hotel offers rooms at such a value. My stay wasn't horrible and could have been 3 to 3-5 stars if the mattress (most important part of any hotel stay) were improved. Check with the front desk on vouchers for the tavern, I believe you can buy one for $10 that provides $20 worth of food. Plenty of parking and elevators, the hotel was kept clean and was quiet.

This is a fairly well maintained hotel. The two ladies working on breakfast were very friendly, nice and on top of keeping things clean and refreshed. I'm not used to seeing that in "middle-of-nowhere" Fairfield. To be fair, it's not middle of nowhere but also not in a downtown area where I would expect it. The breakfast was typical. Just well maintained, not sloppy, didn't have overripe very black bananas (i see that way more often than I should). The oatmeal wasn't watery slop or gooey glop. Again, this isn't a five star hotel. It's just a very well run Fairfield Inn.
