Unfortunately again shitty bobas texture wise, which ruins the experience. They ran out of Earl gray when I came back again today, so I suppose if you're going to try anything try the Earl gray. Consider some jellies as their bobas are consistently low quality and firm in the center. I've had six (bad boba batches) the past week and five in the past few days at different times and locations, so I don't think I can give Chatime anymore chances (with bobas at least, I have an addiction to feed so I'll probably try some of the jellies).

I won't lie - I had some expectations that this will be a rich, hot chocolate with the familiar chlorophyll flavor of matcha, but it was actually the opposite. It is essentially green tea with chocolate tones - think extremely watered down hot chocolate. I was kind of disappointed (eh, my fault for having that expectation), but I still finished my tea hot chocolate. I docked a couple stars because when my friends and I walked up to the tea bar, the man merely asked how he could help us. I may have been the only one to order, but I was hoping he'd give an explanation of the beverage he was making at least (again with the presumptions!). I mean, he was having a full on conversation about teas with the customers he assisted right before us! I wanted to purchase some teas as souvenirs, but seeing as he wasn't keen on chatting with us, I decided to just stick with the take away drink.

I ended up getting the pork Katsu sandwich. The pork was just fried so very crispy on very fresh white bread. It had some cabbage and a Japanese sauce. Overall very tasty. I ordered the matcha latte which looked beautiful -great barista. I wasn't a fan of the flavour at all but I'm sure many people are. They do regular coffee as well. Can we get a few real menus, or a detailed one on the board instead of rotating pictures? Or maybe paper ones that lists what is in all the combos? Someone once told me the approximate amount of sugar in Easyway and its was something ridiculous. I'm sure Chatime has a tonne of sugar in it too, but it just tastes less sweet. Pearl milk or bubble teas are the most popular (I like mine vanilla or roasted milk flavoured) but a friend of mine swears by the fruit tea. You can control the sweetness and ice level. Normal sweetness and 1/4 ice is my order. So if you've never tasted a Taiwanese drink before, Chatime is a great place to start. Be adventurous (unlike me)!
