The store was bustling on the weekend but the lines weren't too long (perhaps 4-5 customers waiting). The clothing appeared similar in quality to that of H&M stores in the US, as were the price points -- which I assume was a huge attraction since the exchange rate is so high. I didn't get the chance to peruse for too long, but noted that the items were the same as in the States (see the website). Therefore, I didn't feel the need to buy anything. This location isn't too large, as the aisles were pretty narrow. Good place to pick up some pieces though particularly if you forgot to pack something.

Date of visit: May 29, 2025…read more A good friend is a huge Ferragamo fan; he's afraid of flying as much as he loves Ferragamo so there was no way that he would ever find himself in Venice, thus his request to secure some shoes that he could wear with a tuxedo during my stay. Located in the fancier area of Venice not far from the San Marco Square tourist hub, the location is quite spacious given the usual compact layout of stores in Venice, with men's items on the second floor. Staff was courteous but not at the level I was expecting when you're buying $900 shoes, but it could be a matter of my expectations and reality not being in synch, too. My biggest issue was that the information I was told about the VAT tax refund was incorrect; the clerk advised that I would have to make two stops and the first was the customs office. However, I just went to the Global Blue desk and within 60 seconds everything was squared away. While I'm glad that it was easier than indicated, I ended up looking for the customs office needlessly.

All the color/size options for the City Bag that I asked to see we're all available. It's definitely worth a stop if you like Balenciaga. The price for a small City is 1050€ as of 12/2015; this is pre-VAT refunds, which should be around 12%.
