They actually have text as an option to contact them, and the response time is better than most of my friends!!!) when i started the conversation I knew basically what i wanted, and in a very quick exchange they got the specifics, all the while not making me feel like I was dumb for not knowing (and i really was uninformed!!!) they are incredibly professional, they are great at communication, especially concerning times and any potential issues that may arise! The situation: - A hoarder left unchecked for 40+ years - Several acres available for the hoarder to accumulate a volume of junk that you can see from space...not kidding. The solution: - Hire Simon at Good Riddance Hauling Here's our story: We called Simon and requested he come to the property to see if he'd be interested in a big job. Simon arrived later that afternoon (right on time, btw) and we gave him our tour of the property and discussed the scope of the work we were proposing. Within a few days Simon sent us a very competitive quote. We agreed to hire Good Riddance Hauling and we met Simon again out at the property to strategize how to stage for the big day; two days, actually. Unfortunately, the tragic north bay fires began and, naturally, hauling the hoarder's "collection" became a very low priority for us. Given the aggravating circumstances, Simon remain amazingly communicative. When the work finally commenced, we had discovered more junk on the property (seriously, it is like a Bizzaro World Easter egg hunt every time we're walking around the property). Simon and his team took the expanding scope of the job in stride and they completed the job as advertised. As we continue to rehabilitate the property, we will very likely need more junk hauled. GOOD F****** Riddance should be their name. Today I was Bamboozled by these S.O.B.'s Do not use this service because they are a total waste Of time and money. They showed up 20 mins. Late, they refused to lift any thing that was heavy like a big screen t.v. or a refrigerator for example. I had a list of 25 items I wanted loaded on to their truck and they left with just 5 things that were bulky but not heavy. 45 mins later they tell me the truck was full and demanded $650. How they can sleep at night when do people like that everyday is beyond me. read more

It was a tricky job that required removing the doors, sawing off part of the freezer drawer, then lifting it through a large window. I hired this company to haul away my boxes and other disposables/recyclables that resulted from a move in August. They got back to me within a day and we scheduled a pick-up date. They gave me an estimate of $175-225.00 over the phone based on my description of the items. We later added a couch, which they said would be no problem. The crew arrived on time, I was under the weather with a migraine so my adult son handled the transaction. I found out that evening that the haulers told him that it would now cost $325, and that they wanted payment before starting. My son went ahead and paid them, and then - without doing any work they told him they were going to lunch! An hour later they came back (thank God) and took my stuff, but left again before we could check the work. I guess I had expected that they would sweep up and pick up the area, which they did not. The phone contact with this company was great but I did not feel that the employees were professional. If I hadn't been so sick I would have thrown a fit but my migraine reduced me to a wimpy wet noodle. read more

Good Riddance hauling lives up to their name. They came, they hauled- problem solved! The entire process was smooth from setting up the setting up the appointment to saying goodbye to the trash! They were punctual and professional. They have a big truck with a lift gate that made hauling my clunker of a treadmill a breeze. Leslie and Simon are very friendly and efficient. I would definitely hire them again. I would say they are not the least expensive hauling service I have used but they were worth the $$. I am not sure how they determine the cost of the load. they gave me a price range when we set the appointment based on my description of the junk.
