My husband has received excellent care at the YRMC-East, in Prescott Valley! We have made multiple…read moretrips to the ER and he was admitted twice. The workers quickly signed us in, and the triage nurses promptly documented the details of my husband's health issues on each visit. As we waited in the ER, he was taken for tests and had blood drawn by workers who were part of an organized team. The nurses and doctors were attentive and knowledgeable. Even the workers who cleaned the rooms were cheerful and efficient. During one trip, William Clark took the time to share more information about my husband's health issues than my husband's past cardiologists ever did. On another visit, Dr. Valdez, Lupe (the Health Coordinator), and the two virtual nurses went ABOVE and BEYOND in an attempt to connect my husband with better health care once we left YRMC -East. Their enthusiasm and need to provide the best care for my husband was heartwarming which relieved so much of our stress and gave us hope! Just know that going in. That said, there are options---you can book online if you can wait, you can do a video call, or just walk in and wait. If you walk in they let you know where you are in the queue, and they text you when your time is close if you don't want to sit and wait. The front staff were professional and courteous, and when I was seen, all of my concerns were addressed. I had a lingering cough and wanted to make sure my lungs were ok. When I was seen, They X-Rayed me right there on the premise (Yay, imagine having to go to another lab?!!!) and my fears were confirmed-touch of pneumonia ! . They took their time with me, were as professional as I could hope for, and had great attitudes! I was prescribed my meds and was on my way, happy to say I am on the mend. Folks, be gracious...these medical workers are dealing with a revolving door of sick patients all day long, and they are doing the best they can with the limited staff on hand ! In the 3rd hour they had finally taken a culture however not submitted and basically no answer as to why he felt so terrible. Why would you take a culture and leave the sample with the patient and not send it for testing or test it there?? Waste of time and they are SO slow!! Literally as if they don't care about their patients. Urgent care should be faster than that especially if only a few people are ahead of him. Waste of time and co pay! We will be going to another urgent care in the city with much better service. I highly recommend going somewhere else! Even the ER because over here is just a waste of time. Read all the other reviews because it is really that true. Never again. Also, NP said the culture results should be out by end of day because after 3hrs he said he had to leave and still no call. I have been seeing Mike Frost for pain management and the first time I saw him, he was very condescending. I don't think he believed me when I told him about my back issues...3 collapsed vertebrae fractures, stenosis, arthritis, spondylosis, and a couple of displaced discs. Then I fell and broke my pelvis and while I was recovering, without any trauma, I had another vertebrae collapse, which pinched a nerve and I was in a wheelchair for about a month. Oh, yeah, now he believes me. I had some procedures done to hopefully stabilize my vertebrae but they didn't work and I am in worse pain. The Monday before thanksgiving, I had some paperwork I needed to give to Mike, so we stopped by and I gave him the stuff, in with the paperwork there was a note telling him how bad things were. He looked at me and asked me what was going on. He could see the pain all over my face. I told him the current meds weren't working, that we were going to go shopping for thanksgiving dinner and that I didn't know how I could do it. He said (and I quote) "Go do your shopping and I'll take care of you." Nothing. I called Tuesday, nothing, Wednesday, nothing, twice on Friday, yeah, you guessed it. Dr. A had given me his business card at one point and told me "If you ever need anything, call me. I'll take care of you." So I called. At this point you probably know where this is going.... So I emailed him - three times and finally, this morning (Wednesday after thanksgiving) his assistant called. She told me she would talk to one of Mike's assistants to see if I could get a doxy. It's after 2:00, and I just called again. I'd have my husband drive me over there but I'm afraid I'd go to jail. Rachel, dear sweet Rachel, the gal in charge of prescriptions is the only one who seems to get anything done. That's who I just called and she called me right back. It's not her job, but she got up, walked over to tell Mike's receptionist I would like a call back. Uh, yeah, so his receptionist is gone for the day, and Mike leaves tomorrow for a 2 week vacation. So that leaves me SOL, and up the proverbial creek. Yeah, time to find a new facility. Probably in the Valley, there's just not enough medical facilities to handle the growth. That would be my advice to anyone new to the area, plan to drive a distance to find a good doctor. All the good ones seemed to have bailed because they were overworked.

ER took her right in and treated her like she was a loved one!! They were all over her condition and it was obvious they had a protocol and experience to handle the situation. Her case was complicated by stomach pain so there were multiple issues. At the time the testing and scans seemed a little over the top but in hindsight they had to find out what exactly was going on. When she was admitted to a regular room everyone was very attentive and helpful. They follow sanitation protocol faithfully, including sanitizing dispensers at each door! The nurses and support staff go over the top to be helpful and informative, even for a former teacher who has to know exactly WHY for everything!! They have private rooms for each patient and they let me stay 24 hours a day; okay so it is a pullout day bed but still comfy. You can order room service from a menu all day long just like the Hilton! Just one issue: they laughed when I asked for a blended mango margarita!!

When I called for clarification, I was bounced around, spoken to unprofessionally (a billing rep answered while chewing and saying he was "on lunch"), and never received a straight answer. I specifically asked for a detailed voicemail so I would have documentation, but instead I was told there was "no point " to leave one. Zachary even replied to my Google review stating they'd leave a detailed message, but that did not happen. For the record, the office has three of my voicemails with my phone number, and Zachary is welcome to contact me directly. All I have asked for is something in writing that explains why I was told I was in-network when I was not, and what exactly the $200 charge for a 20-minute consult covers. To date, I have received no transparency or professionalism. Patients deserve better.
