Good Wood Fence was the first company to respond to my request and the only company to call me directly to discuss what I needed and the best solution. The next day, they provided me with a quote and I immediately hired them, as I was very impressed with how quickly they reached out and answered all my questions. The very next day, today, they came out and installed a metal support beam to my fence post. I had my fence installed three years ago and had nothing but problems with that company from the very beginning to the end. I would like to commend Cody Latona on his outstanding business ethic. First of all, as seniors, we appreciate the fact that he gave us a great price to re-stain our deck. Our deck is fairly large, so the price break was welcomed. Each time, Cody came at the time he said he would. The project took several days to pressure wash, apply cleaner, hand sand and apply the stain. He and his helper removed the heavy items before starting and replaced them when they finished. If there was a time that he couldn't be here at the time we agreed to, he would call or text to adjust the time. The deck staining turned out terrific. Looks like a brand new deck. I had used Cody in the past for a fence repair and it turned out well so when I had a property with another fence issue I gave him a call. We discussed the work and he gave me a price and wanted half down payment which i paid in advance. He showed up with crew and began working. Shortly after i got a text that there was a slight issue. The issue was that they had broken the newly installed glass patio slider door. He said he only wanted to pay half to repair which i didn't think was fair, not only that, but he wanted me to pay the balance before proceeding with job. I didn't want to do that as now job was barely started and I had a $900 repair for sliding glass repair also. He ended up walking off the job and taking the materials! Wtf!!! He won't return calls or texts, kept my money after not completing any of the work, plus I have the job to do still and the repair of the broken glass. His response, "I've been really busy and will send them out", repeating this in August, December and January 2021, and now has stopped responding. Cody is very engaging when he's quoting for a job. An out-of-control motorist texting while speeding down our country road recently demolished 214 feet of our front fence. Fortunately, we found LATONA FENCE RESTORATION, a small family firm which returned our call within an hour, came out to give us an estimate within another hour, and sent a detailed and very reasonable cost estimate that evening. The tasks included materials for new fencing, removal and off-site disposal of the mangled posts, wire, and other debris, and installation of the new fence. By Monday afternoon they had pulled out and taken away for disposal all the mangled fence, broken posts and other debris. By the next afternoon they had dug postholes for 26 new posts, set the new posts in concrete, in a perfectly straight line despite the uneven terrain. By the third afternoon they had completed the fence restoration: new wire mesh was stretched and attached and all remaining debris cleared up.
