Only crazy people go out to eat on Mother's Day during brunch without reservations. Hi, I'm crazy. We were in town for a horseshow & found ourselves with free time... and hungry tummies! Goodfella's was near the fairgrounds, so we decided to take a chance. There was a line. It was long. It moved very quickly though, the staff had their hustle on and they were clearing tables inhumanly fast to get them cleaned for their next guest asap. They seated our party of 3 within 20 minutes, which is so impressive based on how many people were ahead of us. Our server was fast like a ninja, and she had our drinks to us pretty much as soon as we asked for them. We ordered our food and that appeared in a flash too. I had the biscuits and gravy, with a side of sausage. It was hot and fresh, the biscuits were soft and flaky, and the gravy was well seasoned and house made. None of that packaged garbage here! Everyone else liked their food as well, though I can't remember what anyone ordered. This place is legit. Worth a stop if you're in Longmont! read more

The service was wonderful and it is a cute little diner but I wouldn't say it is the best one I've seen for how popular it is. The hash browns were very soft, almost mushy like consistence and I'm not a huge fan of that personally. The sausage though was very good. Their sourdough toast doesn't taste like sourdough at all and it did not seem like they served their toast buttered at all! The eggs were cooked perfectly with an amazing runny yolk in the middle! The waffle was a pretty decent sized waffle, though I think they could serve a bit more syrup than that! I would recommend this place for people wanting to just sit back and eat mediocre cheap food with friends, but it would not be my go to if I wanted some real food breakfast food. read more

I love Goodfella's Ultimate Burrito with sausage - including the sausage gravy and melted cheddar cheese on top - but I always ask for the green chili on the side and spoon it over as I go. It makes a yummy and filling dinner, plus a nice lunch the following day! Even better, my husband can always find something he likes on the menu, as his palate is far more diverse than mine, and he really appreciates the free pie days. The foot is reasonably priced, the staff is very nice, and we've never had a problem getting seated in a timely manner, even on a weekend, although we typically go after 7:00 PM. read more

Simple, no frills diner. Coming from the east coast, diners here are much less common. Goodfellas fits the bill. Simple food done well, breakfast all day, and good prices. One of our new spots for breakfast. More diner style, nothing fancy. Huge cinnamon rolls, I mean HUGE! We always have to take some home. You also can't beat their reasonably priced menu. I've had their omelettes and the Country Benedict. The Country Benedict was a lot like biscuits and gravy, just with poached eggs. We seem to do best getting here on the earlier side on a Saturday or Sunday before the wait times get longer - it seems to be the hot spot among the older population of Longmont! Really awesome experience coming here. Stopped in from out of town and thought it just looked like a yummy diner. It is all that and more. Our server was Brenda and she was completely awesome. Made great, honest recommendations and was sweet as can be. Food arrived fast, hot, and absolutely delicious. The french dip sandwich was delicious and the au jus sauce flavorful. The owner stopped by every table and greeted them. It was apparent some of the regulars have a great relationship with him. I'm a diner fan. I have no problem with diners, diner food, diner service, I'm all in. My difficulty with Goodfellas is just the pricing. The food is just ok, it's not 'great' diner food, but it's fine. It's just too expensive for what it is, and that's my problem. Other places in Longmont (Longmont Public House for one) are priced about the same, and quality is way better. Ate here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We walked in and the "regular" crowd was yelling and swearing to each other like we where in a bar. Brushed it off, not my business perception. The waitress walked away before I completed my drink order, it was kinda rude. I guess, a smile and a nod go a long way. The food was good, but the service(isnt it part of the dining experience) make the food fall to the way side.I'm not from longmont but why do most people seem to hate being here, sure is making me feel the same way. 3 stars because of the awesome bus boy who was on top of coffee refills and picking up the slack. read more

I had the senior Florentine Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was barely warm, probably because my husband's German pancake took longer to cook. (The pancake was extremely good, but as the waitress said it took 20 minutes to cook). The decor was fun, 50's style! My wife and I like this place, but it definitely needs to pay WAY more to it's staff. They are, at best, cordial. Most often, they are crabby. The cook-staff are the same. I can tell when they're in a good mood based on the effort given to the cooking. I'll might still come back, because the service--when great--is nice. Good recipes, too--they just need better cooks. I'm STILL looking for the neighborhood restaurant that I can make my home away from home. Goodfellas could be that, they just don't get it. Question: the faces of the owners are on the place mats. This place is just an average diner. Nothing special to it except that it is locally owned ( the reason for the third star). I ordered a waffle with an egg and sausage patty. The syrup and butter came in disposable plastic containers with lids on them. That was somewhat awkward. My sausage was raw in the middle and my egg was not cooked the way I had asked. The servers were nice however we had three or four different people serving us which resulted in the same questions being asked two or three times. That's annoying. There are several other breakfast diners that do an outstanding job in Longmont so I probably won't come back to Good Fellas. read more

Really disappointed in communication from a manager. I've ordered delivery (door dash) maybe 20 times and the last few have been poor quality and not worth the cost. There are peppers, bacon, and bread crumbs in the "plain" Mac and cheese (things I don't want or thing would be in a plain dish). The order I got today was the same price but 1/2 the portion (as if they served the small instead of the regular? Not sure.) I brought my concerns up to a manager who didn't care. A simple "I'm sorry" goes a long way when someone spends hard-earned money and is disappointed. Would you like FLIES with that? We seemed to know more about their menu than the waitresses. My steak came out very overcooked and the cut was about a half inch thick. My wife couldn't stomach the burrito (beef grease not drained). For the first time ever, my some pushed his plate away and didn't eat his Cheese Enchiladas. When sending my steak back to have a burger made I watched the cook laugh at the idea she overcooked my steak. Very unprofessional. We should have known we were in the wrong place to eat when we were greeted by more flies than people. When I used the restroom after we paid I noticed several Fruit Flies and the whole restaurant had plenty of house flies. Needless to say, we will never be back. read more

Simply put, this place is amazing for breakfast. I have had a lot of breakfast in alot of places, and this has easily and quickly become my favorite. I am a little sad that it took me so long to eat here and I honestly didn't have high expectations, but I couldn't have been more wrong. We tend to come here on Sunday during what I call the Church rush which is between 10-12 and yes there is a wait, but they flip tables so fast, I have never had to wait longer than about 10 minutes, which is completely acceptable given how good the food and service is. The chicken fried steak is now my favorite menu item and pretty much the only thing I get now. It's pretty good. Large portions and cooked right. Most places fail with gravy for breakfast, but the gravy here which to me is required for a good chicken fried steak, is above great. It's some of the best I have had in Colorado. The Omelets are great, pancakes, eggs, pretty much everything. The only downside thus far is with the waffle and hash browns. The waffle was pretty bland and lacked flavor I would expect in a waffle, and the hashbrowns suffer from the standard problem most breakfast places have in making something in bulk. They are undercooked inside and crisp on the outside. However, there is the option to have them drop them in the frier which turns them into little crispy shoestring fries, which is great when making your own trashcan lid meal, other than that, I have never had any bad food. The staff is always friendly and polite. You Are greeted with a smile start to finish and given the volume of people, the wait staff is very attentive in things needed like coffee top offs or more to drink. Several people will help to clear table when you're done with something or be happy to get you whatever you need. This is really a classic American diner with all the staples that made them great. I highly recommend you stop in and give them a try. Don't be overwhelmed by the amount of people or the wait. You won't wait long and the food is fantastic. read more

We just took a drive heading North from Denver just looking for some adventure on a rainy May day. We got to Longmont, and pressed "restaurants" on the find page and Good Fellas was close and convenient, right on Ken Pratt. Inside was such a surprise! The feel of the decore is so cool! Ya gotta check out the 45 RPM records! Also, see how many riddles you can figure out. Hint: they all relate to things we eat. The food is so good. That's what people go there for right? My GF and I had the two Chicken Fried dinners and boy we were satisfied! Real mash potatoes, veggie and a dinner roll included. The service is so quick and the people almost overly nice. This place continues to improve with the addition of outdoor seating and now beer. The menu is varied and can accommodate almost any taste. im really trying to like this place since its literally down the street from where i live. most of the time its been average to good. one issue i have is i brought my mother here. she ordered 2 over easy eggs. when they came out the yolks weren't even hot they were luke warm. that is just gross they need to make sure the yolks are hot. i understand for over easy eggs you don't want them on the grill very long but you can do that and still make sure the yolks are hot. but again.. the service is spectacular. read more

I've been eating breakfast at Goodfellas for several years. Most recently after establishing a new company in Longmont, myself and/or members of my staff would eat here as much as 3 times a week. This past Sunday, however, probably put an end to that. My wife and I came in (admittedly during peak breakfast time) and had an overall horrible experience. Service was not what I'd come to expect and the response (or lack thereof) was not what I expect from a business I want to continue to support. Historically, the food has been good but not good enough to endure another experience like I had on Sunday. There are plenty of other options in the area. read more

This is a great local restaurant that serves a variety of food. Since COVID I've ordered delivery several times and everything I ordered came as I ordered and it was here fast and hot. I'll go in and sit and visit again someday, when I was there before the pandemic the service was good and friendly. Maybe I went to Goodfella's on the wrong day, but it was hands down the worst breakfast I've ever had. I had seen other 1 star reviews but thought, "it's diner food, how bad could it be?" Oh, it was pretty bad. The hash browns weren't crispy at all, the scrambles eggs weren't warm, and the french toast looked like it was heated up in a microwave. Just sad food with no taste. The only saving grace was the Cholula. Service was fine though, waiters were nice, but hard pass on ever eating here again. read more

This place is absolutely disgusting. Got a country fried steak that was ice cold as well as the mashed potatoes. Had them take it back and they tossed it in the microwave, and still came out cold.
