I was super happy to finally get this processed completed! First let me talk a little about the building the law office is in, because it's a unique building and cool. It was erected in 1915 and was the towns Post Office. I am not sure when it stopped being the towns post office but it certainly isn't it anymore. It also seems to have been a fallout shelter at one point. Seeing the sign near the entrance of the building was rather startling, took a picture of it. Seems it had capacity for 60 people. I, of course, asked the person working at the firm who was assisting me in getting this process done and signing the documents if this still was a fallout shelter. I think I freaked/weirded her out. She said she doesn't know and I said.... "laughs... well you never know if you might need it this day and age". Nervous laughs in the room later. The building is beautifully furnished, and the chandeliers look to be antiques... and the grandfather clock in the conference room is beautiful. My realtor, loan officer, and the representative working for the law firm were there... answered whatever questions I had and after tons of signatures... I officially became the owner of this absolutely beautiful home! Super happy! During my conversations as I signed the documents I also found out this firm does estate planning. Both my mother and myself have wills/living wills and I asked if this needed to be updated because we moved from Florida to Ohio, I was told yes. So I may have to come back again to get them updated/redone. Like I said, the attorney (forgot to get her name) that was there was super helpful, patient and answered any questions I had. Per their website they specialize in real estate, business, agriculture, and estate planning & probate. If you need someone locally for this, I would definitely come by and talk to the attorneys here.
