Loved GOODONYA! They had a bunch of gf options ( the bakery had all gf good as well as a bunch of dairy free options as well) ! The brownie was really good! The salted caramel latte was perfect, not too sweet and tasted great! Highly recommend the smash burger (breakfast or regular you can't go wrong) , the pastrami sandwich and the fries! Service was quick and the staff was all kind! We sat outside and it was great !

Cute spot located in Encinitas with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be a bit challenging, but the location has a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service did not match the setting. Despite several open tables, we had a lengthy wait before being seated. Once seated, no staff checked on us for quite some time, and I eventually had to flag down a server just to order drinks and food. The restaurant was not particularly busy, although they may have been short-staffed that day. When the food arrived, the portions felt small for the price. The flavors were decent, but overall the meal was underwhelming given the cost. The bottom slice of bread on the chicken pesto sandwich was soggy from the pesto sauce. The "smash" burger looked appetizing, but the patty was thick and resembled a traditional burger rather than a true smashed patty. For the price point, it would also be nice if the burgers and sandwiches included chips or fries. During the meal, our server checked in only once, and we again had to flag someone down to receive the bill. Overall, this is a casual café with a pleasant atmosphere, but the service and value did not justify the premium pricing. With improvements to service and food execution, it could be a much better experience.

Very nice experience here. The food was good the coffee was good really enjoyed the company met a very nice friend there. Absolutely love the little gift shop so cute and aesthetically pleasing. Definitely a fun place to check out and then take a walk over to the meditation gardens just around the block.

My friend and I wanted something a little healthier for dinner so we decided to try out goodonya. I got the "everything but the sink" salad and she got the Thai salad. Both were generous portions and had tons of fun yummy toppings. We also got a small order of the fries to share which we both liked. Our server was super sweet and helpful. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so you shouldn't have trouble finding a table. We wanted something a little sweet so stopped by the market after and grabbed one of their chocolate chip cookies which was the perfect end to our meal.

Mom and I shared the smashburger and fries and it was very good and juicy. Fries were good, didn't seem too greasy tasting. Good amount in the small size. I also got the iced mint coffee, very good, with almond milk. I appreciate that they asked my milk preference. Got a cookie and it was small but very good, reminded me of my grandmas cookie. Soft and not too sweet but tasty. My husband got the chicken pesto sandwich and fries and he is a tough critic, but he liked it. He also got the cookie, but he said it wasn't sweet enough for him. Staff was nice and we had a nice spot outside under the umbrella. Perfect SD day. Would like to go back!

Great place for coffee in a non-chain environment, healthy food, great service, beautiful space, comfortable seating. Food is always perfect, fresh, healthy and delicious.

Long wait, but worth it. My friend and I shared a couple items off the menu and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. We came here after doing and workout and although we ordered a decent amount of food, nothing felt too heavy. Lots of flavor and left feeling satisfied and pretty healthy.

Ummm obsessed with this place!! Beyond their transparency and care for sustainability, the food is AMAZING quality with no BS additives or ingredients. Lots of GF and vegan options. Everything we had was delicious. Special note to the gf beef pigs in a blanket- yum!!!! All of the staff are very kind and helpful and I love the quaint atmosphere.

Love this spot so much! All organic, grass fed and finished meats, well put together meals and friendly service all wrapped up in one. My partner and I both enjoyed our meals completely. I ordered the fried egg plate which comes with arugula, tomato and sweet potato hash. The flavor was just perfect! I didn't even need a sauce! I also picked up the bone broth with cilantro, turmeric and green onion added and that was so flavorful and delicious! My partner ordered the protein scramble which comes with pork sausage, grilled onion, mushrooms, cheddar and toast which he very much enjoyed. I had also ordered the strawberry matcha which was perfect too! Since it was raining and we had the pup we weren't allowed to sit inside, but it looked very comfy and cozy inside. The outside is always buzzing with energy too. Lots of space to sit and plenty of friendly servers around. They also have a gift shop with lots of goodies like snacks and local artist jewelry and cards. They even sell a couple cute plants on the wall. Definitely check out this place. Super cute and healthy, right up your alley I bet!

    Sit outside, it's awesome!

My friend and I have been coming here for a month now and we love it! Great food choices, good food and most importantly the staff here is amazing!!!! They all make coming here so special. I highly recommend!

Tuna Salad Sandwich. This was the saddest tuna sandwich I've had.

I really want to love this place, but every time I go it gets worse and worse. This was the saddest tuna sandwich I've seen. Nothing like their photos of it, and go figure I got a stomach ache after. I don't know what happened, but they've lost their touch this last year.

Glad I got to finally try this spot! Parking was a bit of a struggle to find on a Friday night but not too bad. Now onto the food! Elk cheeseburger: 5/10 I was so excited to try it but the meat was dry and had no seasoning at all. The bun was extremely dry and crumbly. The only thing saving this burger was the thin slice of cheese and small amount of sauce on it. It was a good portion but wayyy overpriced. Smash Burger: 8/10 It was juicy and flavorful but not nearly as big for the price. Tallow fries: 6/10 They failed to meet my expectations. Tasted like regular fries. They were soft and on the soggy side. Great service, everyone was friendly but order took a long time to be ready. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this spot and wouldn't return. Food: 6/10 Service: 8/10

Breakfast burrito. Fresh and delicious! Love that they give sliced avocado vs smashing it. Full of flavor.

I ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos and a house coffee. The coffee was actually pretty good! Cream and sugar were delivered separately to finish with your preference. As for the tacos, it was okay. The fish was a bit dry for my liking, cabbage could have been chopped with more finesse, and I wished they QC'd their limes a bit before putting them on the plate. Both were bone dry and I had to ask for more. Moreover, the cilantro lime rice was also a bit bland. It needed salt to lift the flavors in my opinion. There weren't even flecks of green if it was supposed to be cilantro? I tried boyfriend's veggie hash but was disappointed to find that it was almost all potatoes. Having said that, it was an extremely generous portion so he was filled up. While I didn't try it, our friend that had the chorizo hash also said it was okay so I'm guessing the ratio wasn't quite right. Anyways, ask for their chili sauce on the side, that's actually quite surprising. It had really good heat and was more like a chili crisp than a vinegary hot sauce. The plates that did score favorably at the table were the carne chilaquiles and the divorced eggs.

Surely they are masters at greasy bacon and eggs, day old coffee, and probably little else. Wrong. Very wrong. This place may look a little ordinary from the outside but there is nothing ordinary about it. It may look like a classic diner inside but it does not sling food like an old diner. The menu is well-written and the food is high quality, excellent, and borderline gourmet. Do not order eggs, bacon, and toast here. Swing for the cheap seats. We tried the Ham, Avocado and Tomato Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was fantastic. If I didn't care about remaining somewhere under 350 pounds, I would return every Saturday and eat my way through every single eggs benedict concoction on the menu and there are many such benedict creations from which to choose. The Banana Nutella crepe, with "whip" cream (not "whipped," apparently, we're gentle with our cream here, folks), was decadent. If you like your breakfasts on the sweet side, you will enjoy this one. The Tres Porkitos omelet (made with ham, bacon, sausage, and cheese) was hearty and just as good as it sounds. The breakfast potatoes were very nicely done but could have used a little more seasoning. There is a salt shaker (and numerous hot sauces) on the table for just these types of emergencies. Do NOT leave here without getting a freshly-made biscuit with butter and honey on the side. You have made a serious error in judgment if you leave without getting one of these. Even the freshly-squeezed orange juice was delicious. Our server was wonderful. No complaints. They have dining inside or on the patio. Encinitas is a delightful community. While I loved the old school diner feel inside, you cannot go wrong with the people watching outside on one of our almost always sunny days in So Cal.
