The drop off isn't a drive through you have to walk in and sort your stuff (clothing on one side other stuff on the opposite side). I visited this store mid-march 2026. I was able to leave the store with 2 high quality coats for $18.00 like new. It was a steal and great quality. So I'll just get straight to the pros and cons . Pros : Great selection of clothing. (Better than the one on western Ave.) Friendly staff. Pricing is great. Yellow tag = 1/2 the pricing Cons: Unclean dressing room. Dressing room hours (locked at 5:30pm) Some jackets had tissue packets , coins left in them from the previous owner who donated the items. I will change my rating once this store (management), cares enough to clean the dressing room. When I went into the dressing room to try on some jackets, it was gross. Dust, papers, dirt everywhere. Hangers thrown all over the place. It was so bad I didn't even want to take off my own jacket I walked into the store with to hang it up. I know not every goodwill is like this. Please ... take some Clorox wipes, vacuum, glass cleaner and wipe down the dressing rooms. I'm bringing this up because this is a sanitary concern at this point. read more

Super small, but can find items you're looking for if you take your time. Went because I needed some items, and found what I needed.

No one takes care of this store anymore. There are no plus sizes in the plus size area and haven't been for over a year. Clothes are ripped and dirty. Very poor quality inventory. This is such a large building and mostly just trashy stuff here to look through. It is not well sorted like any of the other Goodwill stores. Save your time don't come here. read more

I used to love this store, can't even begin to estimate how much I've donated over the last few years. But I doubt I will be back. Went to donate and discovered recently that hours changed to close at 6pm everyday now. Understandable - Labor shortage, etc. Special effort to get there yesterday "in time" with this bag of clothes. Donation door locked, so went into store and told "donations done for the day." OK, so when does THAT close now? 5:30. Still thought I'd browse for a minute until they began barking at everyone in the store to move up front so they can close the register. Barked "we're closing" to at least four people in the 5 minutes I bothered to look around at what now looks like a half-empty store. So much less stuff. Maybe it's circling the drain, IDK, but I don't need to be yelled at or made to feel like accepting a donation is a big favor. read more

If you love books like I do, you will want to checkout the Goodwill on Hoosick Street in Troy. Most books are .99 cents or $1.99. Many of the books are hardcover books. It is also a great place to find interesting cookbooks. It is a great place to buy children's books. I buy many books here. Read them, then donate them back to the Goodwill. read more

Decent little Goodwill. Came once a few years ago and found a denim jacket with the logo of the Rosie O'Donnell Show on the back. However, it turned out to be ridiculously big (like triple XL big) and looked pretty stupid on me. And so it sat in a heap of similarly ill-fitting impulse thrift store buys in my bedroom for a few years until I gave it to my grandmother, who for reasons I can't comprehend, had been hounding me about it for about a year. What can I say, we're sick people. So...flash forward to about a week ago or so, my brother and I stopped in to see what goodies we might find. Started with the book selection, which as others have noted, is pretty extensive with pretty low prices and a decent range of titles. Clothing section is pretty much what you'd expect for a Goodwill. Nothing too interesting in the men's section. Nothing you couldn't find in a Marshall's or Kohl's within the past five years. However, the women's section may or may not yield a few cat sweaters or old lady windbreakers. Can't have too many of those. Sadly however, there was nothing reaching the level of the triple XL Rosie O'Donnell jacket. Though I did purchase a pink women's hat emblazoned with the logo of some Bahama's resort and a terrible painting of something vaguely resembling a cat in a busted up frame. My brother tried to dissuade me from purchasing the latter item, going so far as to insinuate that it might result in the forcible removal of a certain dear appendage of mine when my girlfriend saw it. But I told him he didn't have to worry, that she more than likely would just throw it in the trash. Which she promptly did after I brought it home. Oh well. read more

This was a terrible goodwill location. I don't know who does their pricing but it seemed outrageous. I have worked in clothing resale for over 10 years and every single thing I picked up was probably the price it sold for new. I saw a 20$ forever 21 (fast fashion barely worth 5$) skirt for 15$. A clearance target dress for 20$. A worn wooly balled loft dress for 20$! Didn't buy anything because things that cost 7$ new in the store were being sold for 10$ used here. This store is not closed! It moved from the Market32 side of the building to the Brunswick Mall entrance. This is a fair-sized store with a lot of good stuff. They especially get brand new stuff from local stores. There's a good-sized home wares section as well as women's, men's and children's clothing. This is a donation center so are continually getting in new stuff. The store is clean and well-maintained. read more

I gave 1 STAR because NO STARS is not an option. This Goodwill is terrible. The staff accused someone of stealing just last week. When it was determined that NO theft had occurred, NO APOLOGY WAS ISSUED. They accused a young gentleman while he was standing at a rack. Once the video was reviewed it was determined that the "person" that stocks stuff (not smart enough to run register??) moved the item three racks away then accused the young man. It was clear on the video EXACTLY what happened. Why does this person still have a job? Is there some bonus for accusing someone of theft? Stay away, the prices are quite high for USED stuff. I love thrift store shopping. There is nothing better than a unique find at a good price. This Goodwill location has a great selection of women's clothing. There are three dressing rooms that are a good size and clean. Everything is well organized by color and style. I noticed a lot of Target brands on the racks and the cashier told me they have a deal with Target and receive unsold clothing at the end of the season. When I visited, there where lots of tank tops and sundresses. The shoe section is huge. They also have a section for men, but it is much smaller. There are some formal gowns and purses in the back. Each thrift store comes to have its own vibe. This one is great for current fashions, but doesn't have a lot vintage. The other reviews for this place are a bit dated, so I suggest giving it a try. 97% clothing. Little to no furniture. 2 registers, only one open. I had one item and stood in line behind one women ringing out for no joke, 10 minutes. Slow as possible. Unfriendly. Handed her a $1 coin, and she had to look at it for a good 30 seconds. Items are dirty ad overpriced. read more

Sadly this store in this area has a lot of potential. But, having visited many goodwill shops throughout the east coast, this one does not come close to the many others I have visited. First, there are no designer clothes! Where are all the good donations? Secondly, the furniture is way overpriced! The same stool for 30 bucks cost only 18.99 in Walmart! I am surprised at these reviews. My daughter and I have been to this goodwill at least a half dozen times and have always found great selection and prices...especially in dresses (including dressy and gowns) and shoes. They do seem to get a lot of new items and samples donated from large retailers, and I do agree those items seem on the high side price-wise, and many of the samples have "SAMPLE" written prominently across the back (so unless you want to wear a sweater or blazer over and never take it off , it's a big risk to buy)... The only thing that keeps me from giving this goodwill 5 stars is the staff. As others have noted, they are not very friendly and are often exceptionally slow, even by goodwill standards. Also, there is no customer restroom, as there are in other goodwills. We shop in a lot of different goodwills and this is among the better ones. read more

I went to donate a small bag of unused stuffed animals. The lady barely knew English looked at one thing and goes "No. This nasty." I cussed her out because there was nothing nasty about those toys, I'm not going back there again, how dare you turn down a perfectly good donation. read more

A big goodwill with good hours (7days a week, until 8 or 9pm, I think). It can be kinda expensive when compared to other thrift stores in the area, but there's tons to go through clothing-wise and also household items (all arranged on shelves according to their color). Usually I can find something that's a great deal if I look long enough. Check-out lines can be sometimes long, so you just have to time when you're done shopping & maybe take one more trip around the store if there's a big line. For what it's worth, I've found the people working there to always be nice. read more
