I have dropped off donations here at least 6 times over past 9 months and just love the ease of their drive up donation drop off. There may be 1-2 cars ahead in the drive up donation as you pull in to the left off 1st, but the wait has never been longer than 5 minutes. This makes it easy to throw stuff in car trunk and drop off between other errands without having to take time to go in and wait in line inside the store. I love easy errands- the people who come out immediately from store to help are nothing but kind and friendly every single time. I recommend using their drive thru- and helping others- however we can! read more

This Goodwill can have a lot of drama happening in it because of where it's located - but the staff always handles it amazingly well and makes sure the staff and customers are taken care of. As far as the store goes, I always find great stuff here and their prices are usually very fair. They have a very organized book section a huge selection of "women's" clothing. Sometimes their "men's" section can be pretty scarce, though. The drive up donation area is very convenient and easy to access and they always come out quickly! read more

Hunting for a couple things today so we stoped in. We needed a radio for our Air BNB that we could leave when we go and we needed a brush to clean our dog toys. The store could sort their electronics better and try them out. We found both AND got a veterans discount! Cool. read more

Sure, it's dirty and not the most well to do goodwills, but is that what you really go to goodwill for? This place has the deals. So how do you rate these thrift stores, in comparison to each other or just in general? This store was brightly lit, was organized, but still had that "thrift store smell." Prices are somewhere between Deseret Industries and Savers. Curious as to why this store has three dollar signs for the price range rating. It is a thrift store, after all. This is actually my LEAST favorite goodwill in Tucson, but it's the closest to my house so I end up spending a fair amount of time here. To be fair there are a lot of great thrift stores around here so it is up against some steep competition. There just doesn't seem to be a huge turnover of merchandise here, so it can be harder to find the hidden gems. It does tend to be decently well organized and staff is friendly. The clothing selection here is better than the furniture or home wares, but even the clothes aren't stellar. Still worth a look if you have time to spare though! read more

Was treated rudely by an employee at this store. She didn't like the way my mask looked. Even though my mouth and nose were completely covered , the bottom of my chin was visible. All she had to do was ask nicely , but instead she got in my face and started yelling and giving orders. Clearly she has some kind of anger problems or is on some power trip. She practically chased me out of the store yelling don't come back . She seems violent, out of control and clearly not too bright to get in someone's face during a pandemic. She should not be dealing with the public. With all the thrift stores in the area, you should not have rude people working for goodwill. Update Oct 12,2020 ; So apparently the store responded below without even really reading what I had to say.I I did say that the mask I was wearing did in fact completely cover my mouth and nose. they seem to think my not wanting to be attacked by this woman as me complaining about having to wear a mask. I was wearing one and wearing it properly . So the explanation in their reply about a mask being required showed me that they did not bother to read this review. they included an email address if i wanted to send them the details of what happened, again they did not read my review or the email I sent to them last week at that address which they have not responded to. I would not be surprised if they removed their reply from this review since it makes them look worse. oh and by the way I have been back there since that creature told me never to come back.Both times she was there and didnt seem to remember or notice. She probably throws out a lot of people or was thinking about her flying monkeys ,so it is totally understandable. read more

Attempted to donate a leather loveseat in good condition (no stain, rips, etc.) Called to make sure they were accepting furniture, and was told yes. Drove from the far northwest side of town and once there was told "No, I can't accept anymore furniture because we're full". Called them back, was placed on hold for 5 minutes and then the phone got disconnected. We'll be donating to Habitat from now on. read more

Yuck. I'm posting a poor review because my experience with the young white man taking donations was so unpleasant. He was rude, condescending and dismissive. He interrupted me before I could finish the questions I was asking--literally interrupted me constantly. I really tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it felt pretty sexist. I unexpectedly spent $18 and an hour here today while waiting for a brilliant shop across the street to fix a tire -- a 30 minute job. This place is huge, organized quite well and has a good mix of new styles and oldies-but-goodies. As with most Goodwill locations, rotating tag colors are 50% off every day of the week. Some prices were crackheaded-bad ($19 for a sorta-gently used pair of shoes from Target?) while others were crackheaded-good (quality designer dress for $3.99). Wicked loud soft rock was bumpin' on the speakers -- "Father Figure" by George Michael is the grossest song I've ever heard and every woman there at 8:30 a.m. seemed to know the words, including the following: That's all I wanted Something special, something sacred - In your eyes For just one moment To be bold and naked At your side I never want my father bold and naked at my side. Especially now that he's dead. A 40-something male employee in a NASCAR hat was whistling "YMCA" while interjecting with "It's fun to stay at the y-W-c-a." Har har har. I live not to far from here and I drop by more than I should (Like I need crap like another hole in my head). 99 % of the time I find nothing they sell the cool stuff on line and the prices have gotten out of control. I do find shorts and shirts for work but that's about it, and I usually only buy them when they are on sale. Due to their overcharging I have not been donating to them, it is my little way of protesting ( not tat they really care, it's just what I do). The bathrooms are clean and for some reason going to goodwill always makes wanna shit, way TMI huh. read more

I like the book collection at this Goodwill. Decent collection of stuff, real titles worth reading (for my tastes, which run a little less mainstream than the usual James Grishams you find at most donation centers). Even some good DVDs here and for $3.99 a DVD it's a decent price. I have been here 3 times and with the rare exception of a cool barbeque oven oven that I got half off on a sale, I rarely find stuff here. There's a LOT of clothes but clothes aren't my bag, baby. So if you like clothes you really should go here for the amount. There were a few interesting items my latest visit but just not enough here to grab me for a return visit. This is however a well placed location along 1st and a large store and has bathrooms for men and women (I pay attention to bathrooms, mind you) and a nice drive up donation center. read more

I love coming here to give all my stuff away. The staff is friendly and they always chat up a storm with me. It's probably because I label everything and separate items into different categories, but nonetheless, they make giving extra fun! I've been a thrift store shopper for the last 30 years. Sadly, prices have shot up and the customer service is iffy, at best. Goodwill is slowly falling off my go-to list. This store on 1st has always been sketchy but today I went in and experienced some of the worst shopping of the last five or ten years. The store was crowded due to a senior sale (I learned this at the register), so it was very busy. While it was full of shoppers the "Manager" (and I used that term loosely) was frantically removing all items off many shelves at replacing others at breakneck speed. He seemed to have a half dozen employees, who were crashing and banging items, and nearly running from the back room to the front. It was NOT a pleasant shopping experience (yeah, I know it's a THRIFT store, but still....). All this work got in the way of shoppers but they didn't seem to have a clue. The music was loud and obnoxious, so I found the "Manager" and asked if he could turn it down. He looked at me like I'd really inconvenienced him and how dare I address him directly, and said, "Yeah, we'll take care of it." Nothing happened; he didn't break stride; the music stayed loud. This store has always suffered from disorganization but it was worse than usual today - where is the common sense? The feeling I got was they don't give a damn about customers. The lady at the register was nice, but I suspect she's just a naturally nice lady. Won't go back, not worth the sh***y atmosphere, rude manager, and pawing through piles of disorganized crap that could be yanked off the shelf at any moment. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place! I'm a bit of a bibliophile and love going to thrift stores or used book stores. Today I walked into this one and found some awesome books about yoga, finances, and other topics that I'm interested in. I get to the check out counter and it turns out that everything in the store was 50%! I only paid $12 for about 10 books. Anywhere else these books would have been at least $100 at minimum. read more

On a scale of all the Goodwills I have been to, this one ranks pretty low. Although, I was thinking recently about why there are so many thrift stores in Tucson and where they get all their crap from... I have a theory, but that is another story. I have bought a few things here. For one, a leather chair with ottoman, so classic, worn in, and no smells. Hooray! That cannot be said about most of the items here. This Goodwill used to be different, but they've remodeled and grown a little. The staff at this location is hardly ever friendly and the last cashier I had was downright rude. Not sure it's worth a trip across town to come here, but I've stopped by once or twice in the last year. The selection and prices are typical of most Goodwill shops, but the items are a bit.. well, it's obvious it's a secondhand store. Anyways, better than some, worse than some. So, literally.. I was supposed to get a military discount. When I looked at the receipt I found that I was charged the full amount. The cashier was very confused. I said I would return the item, get a refund and then buy it again with the discount. A lady came over to do the return but said I could only get a store credit. I never go to that store so I wanted the refund back on my credit card. She said she couldn't do that. I'm not saying the cashier intentionally forgot my discount, but the way they wanted to work it out means they would get the money anyway. So if they mess up, you pay the price! read more

The bad thing about Goodwill now is they list ALL the "goodstuff" on Goodwill.com. Finding a decent treasure in any store is now a real challenge. You go to the store and it is the same old thing over and over. They need more furniture dontaions and more good stuff. read more
