They did not have the brand i wanted so i asked for a recommendation and she made and I decided to purchase for my friend who told me it was excellent and loved it. This place use to be genuine and fair. Not anymore! Went in the other day to buy a bottle that they don't put on shelf (back office) and was told they didn't have any. Saw on FB an hour later that a guy was bragging about how he had a lot of points so they sold it to him. They even told me they put out in cabinet what they have and hold nothing back. Great selection however went in to purchase a specialty beer but only needed a single bottle (Chimay). The shelf had a price for a single but when I got to the counter they told me they could only sell the four pack. The attendant didn't seem to care what the posted price tag said. How could a name like Goody Goody not deliver? This place is a massive liquor store that is extremely well organized and has great selections. Plus, it's extremely close to where I live so if I need anything for a dinner party, etc. this is one of the first places that I stop. If you don't know what you're looking for, it might be difficult to navigate, but they usually have staff floating around to advise you on what you should imbibe on for whatever occasion you're shopping for. I also enjoyed trying samples of some new and upcoming vodkas/flavors (Grey Goose Poir and Praire Organic Vodka!) Apparently they do this sort of thing pretty often, which is definitely a perk! Wearing a mask, I walked into the Camp Bowie store today for a little rum. The young woman behind the counter wasn't wearing one. When I asked why, she said that she had one but just wasn't wearing it. It appeared to me that she meant that she just didn't feel like it. I really didn't feel like it either, but I was wearing one to remind everyone, including her, that life has changed. The nearby 7-11 had a poor selection so I turned to yelp and found this gem. Huge selection of everything Beer Wine and Liquor. At the time we went (friday around 6pm) the had two separate tasting, Turtleback light and spiced rum as well as a wine tasting. If the sell it in Texas, they will have it. read more

Doesn't seem that Yelp like to post my reviews. But who cares. I like to write and write for other Review publications. Domestic beer is the one thing I found that is hard to compete with. I by mine from SAMs because it is cheaper. SAMs gets there products on such bulk that Goody will not even try and compete. I don't blame them. I received a message from the GM on an earlier review clearing up their price matching efforts. Had I not received this message I would have never knows about this price matching. This place is great and will do as much as possible to retain your business. Even when you walk in they are eager to help you find what you want. You you fine liquor somewhere else cheaper, let the store manager here know and they will match it. Then you can get all the items on your list at this one stop shop. read more

Plenty of parking...we saw some chicks trying to shoplift...they called them out...entertaining. Not sure how they are going to compete with Specs now in the area...bc Specs is cheaper. I usually only come here around Christmas because they carry the most liquor gift sets I've found in Fort Worth. Anytime I have a white elephant party or work gift exchange I stop by to pick up a few. Now that Specs is in town I wonder if this place will be able to compete. read more

This place has an endless supply of tasty vodkas. I have even got Firefly Moonshine from this location. The staff is always nice, even if we are running in 10 minutes till close. I'm about to go there now cause I like em so much. read more

There's a lot to say about this place. I have been going to the Goody Goody in the Colony for years and I thought that one was great. This one, off of camp bowie in fort worth, takes the cake. It makes other liquor stores look amateurish. The staff here is congenial and well informed. When you walk it, you feel like you are walking into a good friend's wine cellar. And that's just what the staff feels like. Friends that are trying to help you make the right choice. You looking for a nice single malt scotch? I guarantee you there will be an employee (or even a fellow patron) who has personally done field research on the booze that will suit your tastes. That being said, they have the most extensive variety to choose from that I've seen. Their wine selections are out of this world. The space in which they keep their wine is big enough to fit another liquor store! I like wine. So of course since they have such a large variety, you are likely to run into huge price tags on some items but this is to be expected at any liquor store really. For example in any given section you are likely to find some brands in the upper $200s from time to time. But what makes this place shine is that even though some of their wares might be pricey, they almost always carry a brand of a similar style that is more suitable and affordable. Also, even the pricey items are usually better priced here than you'd find in other stores for the same item and other stores might not even stock the more pricey labels!! This place has gone down hill! The staff is not helpful, when out of a product was told they changed label and told this is same product. After looking up on my phone showing two staff members was still told label changed. They made me feel stupid, got bottle they insisted and left. Went to store on 820, and exchanged wrong bottle! Let me start by saying I am not one to complain, however being in management for years myself, I have never came across such unprofessionalism. I do not live too far from this location but I had never been in this store until recently. I usually go to Specs but thought I would try Goody since it is closer. First of all a very loud and rude female manager (heavyset white woman) who I believe was named Crissy, was speaking in a loud voice to an employee about another employee or formal employee in a very negative gossipy tone, and showed no desire to help me whatsoever. She could clearly see I was having trouble finding the products I was looking for. A young thin white man that was working the register was the only one to come to my aid. I wish I could remember his name because he was extremely helpful as I was looking for several items for a dinner party we were having later that night. After I was finally finished locating everything, an older white manager named Steve or Steven approaches me as am about to get to the register and says I look familiar and do I have a match.com profile. I have NEVER been on any dating site, I have been in a serious relationship for years, and was highly offended. Finally, as I am checking out at the register, the manager Crissy returns complaining about a customer that just left. I have never in all my life witnessed such unprofessionalism. I could not get out of that store quick enough and will never again find myself back in there, which is a shame because the store has a lot of good products.
