Unfortunately, I've had to visit this location during to different occasions. Fortunately, Goodyear was there for me during these stressful times. Great and helpful customer service that eased my mind that they were going to get the job done. My first visit, my flat tire had to be replaced and I thought at a reasonable price. Thank goodness it was one tire. During this past Saturdays visit, I walked in at 10 am and Goodyear was booked for the day. However, I had no time to take the car home and bring it back the next day and so they allowed me to leave it so I can run my other automobile errands. I hadn't heard anything as they were busy. When I called later n the day, they were apologetic and transparent about the amount of work they had which I knew and that I would get a call the next day. And I did, at 9 am that my car was done and it would only cost me $16.78. Thank goodness, it was a nail in the tire and they assured me that they checked my other tires to ensure there were no other issues. My car has been running well the past two days. Don't bring your vehicle in on Sunday's. Sunday's are only regular oil change and tire repair people. They're not technicians. Nothing more they will do. Brought my car in Sunday and told me they couldn't do an oil Change. Oil plug is stripped. I asked them can they tap it? He said they don't got the tools. So I asked them if I bring in a tap can they tap it. He told me he wouldn't trust the guys in the back doing it. He said Monday-Saturday are the master techs that can do everything. Yikes! I'm guessing there's no mechanic lead on Sunday's and if front desk don't trust the guys in the back working on your vehicle then that sure makes a red flag and says a lot bout the Sunday crew. They said the tire fit my car (the only option) but in reality, the tire fit the rim, but not the car. BF Goodrich tires came off it and they were responsive sports tires. Not touring crap. NEVER AGAIN... How could such large company have NO oil filters in stock? & not keeping proper Social Distancing? I brought my vehicle in for an oil change (by appointment), and I wished that I saw these ratings beforehand. It's long, but since I received no response from their customer relation dept. so far, I decided to write as an open feedback. I hope I will be the last one to have negative experience with this business. 1) Online Estimate is far Inaccurate *Cost* Even though it requires to select make/year of the vehicle, it still shows inapplicable/cheaper options- only to find out it costs x3 more "due to the make of vehicle" upon walking in. *Time* took over x3 longer than estimate. 9:30am appointment, done at almost 1pm. (details as below) 2) Dishonest Customer Service Prior to leaving my key at the desk, I informed the clerk that I had an another appointment in the afternoon (must leave in 3hrs). They verified it should be done by then, but I ended up forced to cancel that appointment, at very last minute. When past 2hrs from drop-off, I was concerned still not having a call back so I went back in. I asked and made payment since "It's finishing up", but as I walked out, the mechanic approached and revealed "We're actually still waiting for your filter" and "it should be delivered in 30min or so." Then after that, clerks kept shifting excuses, including "it's because your vehicle requires special filter, so we had to order anyway. We're on the same page with you, we don't know when it's coming, we can't do anything. So bare with us, ok?" Despite the clerk's disrespectful gesture, more importantly, he kept standing Right Next to me with NO Social Distancing at all. This was very concerning. First, I made the appointment a whole day prior. Second, I submitted the appointment along with my vehicle information. So either way, I believe, it would've been clear that they need to order some oil filters, regardless of regular or premium (according to their story, there was none in stock) and had enough time to do so as well. Absolutely the worst experience. I called and was told I needed to make an appointment online, so I did. I took time off from work to get work done for my car. I was told to call from the parking lot and someone would come out and help me for safety. The phone rang and rang and the answering system picked up. Repeated calls, same thing. So fine, lets disregard the safety and go see why I can't get in touch with anyone. There was a sign out front that said the store would be closed from 2pm-5pm for a national safety meeting. Everyone inside is standing around a phone, making eye contact with me, but nobody moving to tell me anything. I knock because, I TOOK WORK TIME OFF FOR A CONFIRMED APPOINTMENT. Somehow, I wasn't really surprised that nobody moved, and just pointed at the sign. I knock again, and gesture for help. Some guy I think is the Manager walks up and POINTS TO THE SIGN AGAIN FROM INSIDE THE DOOR. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. He opens the door (finally), and as I'm trying to ask about my appointment, he said he had no control over "da online stuffs" and said I would have to come back later or wait. They didn't even call to cancel my appointment. I guess because he didn't have control over da online stuffs. I literally went across the street to another garage and was helped right away. GOODYEAR KAPOLEI, I get it, safety meeting. But at least call to cancel my appointment, and at least attempt to answer a couple questions about your lack of professionalism. You are losing business because you can't perform basic customer service. I'll probably get some generic, canned message about "thank you for letting us know, and customer service is important to us, blah blah blah". Just fix it please. Train them or something. read more

It is the day after a holiday and very busy with safety inspections, tire changes etc. The front desk folks where so courteous and helpful in getting my inspection squared away. A woman came in screaming demanding to see a manager and was relentless in her impatience. The front desk never faltered and remained professional till the end. My review is only about the service or lack of. I've been going to Goodyear for a few years now for my oil changes and safety inspections. And every year I request if they can also put my car registration sticker on when they put the safety inspection sticker on because I get my registration sticker in the same month as my safety. Its never been a problem until now. This past weekend, the clerk that checked me in, said to me "I don't know if the inspector can put your sticker on...it depends on how he feels" I was shocked and upset. Service is now if they feel like it?! I have never heard that before in my life. Nor have I ever had a problem at this Goodyear with putting on my registration sticker before. I would just like management to be aware of what their employees are telling their customers. This was definitely not an appropriate answer to my request. My response to him was "anyone can put on the sticker. It doesn't have to be the inspector." When I returned to pick up my car, both the registration and safety inspection stickers were put on my car. SCAM!!! DO NOT COME HERE! No stars! Scheduled a 9am appointment for an oil change, tire rotation that came with the service and a quote on breaks. HOURS have passed and at this point it was 2pm no calls or update so I decided to give them a call. We've been trying to call the shop numerous times and absolutely no answer! Finally after an hour of trying someone answers and says my car is done but needed to wait on a manager to quote my breaks, another half hour passes and we get a call back saying our breaks would cost a hefty $2100. At this time it was already 3:45pm (don't forget we had a 9am appointment) We decided to pickup our car with just the oil and tire rotation and the line took 20 minutes, whatever fine, I go to my car and the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT is on. I've never had a check engine light on in my car EVER and all of a sudden after bringing it here my light turns on!?!? I waited another 15 minutes in line and addressed it to the counter and they said that they would take a look at it. A mechanic went to my car and was spending some time in there and returned my key and papers to the desk. I go back inside and they had the audacity to to tell me the check engine light was already on when I dropped it off.... RIDICULOUS!!!! Mind you it's only marked off with a red pen on a piece of paper that they could've marked at anytime, maybe even while the mechanic was in my car. If my check engine light was on upon drop off then WHY wasn't i shown the paper or corrected by staff that it was on when I addressed it and why bother checking it? but instead I was told after they checked my car again? I told the staff I know for a fact my engine light was not on and he told me, "Well it could've been a coincidence but you'll need to run a diagnostic on it and it will cost you." Are you serious???? Absolutely NO accountability. I miss the Waipio location so much because service was better, quicker and at least there they would address any lights on BEFORE working on your car. So in short if you drop off your car and pick it up after service with an engine light on all of a sudden just know that they will not be held responsible even when the car was in their care and they will not cover a diagnostic on it or do a thorough double check on it when it was obviously their fault. read more

I waited patiently for over an hour to get my safety inspection done. Only to be told that the insurance card I provided was expired and therefore I have to come back to get the entire thing done AGAIN. I told them I had could bring up my insurance card on my phone and asked if there was somewhere I could print but they pretty much told me to return and it shouldn't take as long the second time. It was my fault that I didn't double check, however, I also think that the receptionist who took my paperwork from the get go should've checked and my time wouldn't have been wasted. While sitting and waiting the second time around, I heard the receptionist tell someone if their insurance card was on the app she could email and they could accept it that way. She seemed like a friend of someone's who works at Goodyear so seems like they're only willing if they know you personally. Wow. No consistency. Also, the second time took just as long even though I saw my car sitting for a good 10-15 min before the inspector even went out and they gave me my keys back. This place is an absolute JOKE!! First of all, the location is extremely difficult to find. It's hidden BEHIND a shopping center with no apparent signage telling you how to get there. I walked in and asked the VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL excuse for an employee behind the counter how long it would be to get a safety check and here's his response: "You just have to leave um with us and we'll call you when it's done." Ripoff artists. Just like someone else posted, they took my money for a safety inspection but failed me for the window tint. It has passed 2 previous inspections at a different Goodyear location. Female employee at the register was a unique combination of indifferent and rude. She told me I have to return in 30 days once I correct the problem. I told her there was no way I'm coming back to this location, as I'd passed twice at another location, and she stated that I had to, because I was now "in da system." I asked what that meant and she repeated I was in some system. I drove to the Goodyear in Aiea run by honest management and the car passed. (My son's truck was also failed at this location a few months ago for "misaligned headlights," which they "fixed" for $100... I forgot this before going back.) When someone makes an appointment that's when it should be started to be worked on. Customers take off time from work for this and to have a customer wait two hours after their scheduled appointment to start working on their car is just insane. I'm sure one of the Goodyear employees would be pissed off if they scheduled to pick up dinner from a restaurant at 5:00pm and they arrived at the restaurant at 5:00pm but the restaurant waited until 7:00pm to start cooking their meal.
