I've never seen a shop more lovingly decorated, nor a window more expertly displayed. This place is more than just a flower shop, it's a delight to the senses. Apart from the wide selection of blooms and ready made bouquets, you can buy candles, lanterns, Christmas decorations, cards and other small luxuries and trinkets. The best thing about this shop though are the owners. It's clear that everything that they do they put their heart and soul into. Goose Green Flowers is a charming, quaint little shop owned by two sisters who have been trading over 25 years. They give a professional, friendly service offering quality flowers which are beautifully presented in gorgeous wrapping. They also sell a fabulous selection of seasonal giftware and greeting cards. This is a gorgeous, quality individual shop! I have only been using them for three years, but when returning for my second visit, I was remembered and so was the conversation we had previously about my son! Having always purchased my flowers from the Black Rose, i decided to try Goose Green flowers for my Aunts birthday. The shop is very small and cluttered but this did not put me off initially. At the time of wrapping the flowers i had to advise of two roses which i could visably see were starting to deteriorate, at this point the shop assistant became quite irritated and told me that "no flowers are perfect" with respect every bloom i have ever sent or received from the Black Rose has been so i dont see what makes their flowers so different apart from a distinct lack of quality. Its a shame that this quaint, somewhat small shop has such an aggresive shop keeper. I would usually put this down to low pay or an off day but 3 friends from my Coffee club have also had a similar experience! They are very nice to you until your hard earned money is in the till!! My recomendation would be to give them a wide birth! Its also rather funny how to 2 superb reviews above have been written by the "Sisters" Alison and Angela whom own the shop! Its a shame that the only genuine review on here is somewhat damning!! read more
