We started with an entire house of two units, yet, my neighbor changed his mind so only one unit job left. Brian still accepted the change, and didn't change the original quote gave to us. We really appreciate it. His crew worked very hard, and also everyone of them were very professional in doing their part of the job. The house was finished beautifully, they worked in all the details, did not mess around with different painting colors and different parts of the house. I'm very delayed in writing this review, but Brian and team did a wonderful job on our fence painting project. We had a combination of new, slightly new, old and very old fences surrounding our house. Brian's team came out and got them all cleaned and looking like new again. He helped us choose a great oil-based stain for the main areas, but when it came time to decide on the color of the oldest fence - which was beaten down and weathered gray - we wanted to do something fun. Brian had great suggestions and helped us design something truly unique (see pics). We also had an old tree we didn't know what to do with (it was holding up the fence), so he suggested we paint that too. I LOVE the outcome. We have since completed the yard and the fence colors just make everything pop! Brian was great to work with - communicative and very professional, every step of the way. He even went above and beyond and helped us to enclose one of our planters which backed up to the fence. We were blown away by the experience and the result! These guys are really good. I had them come out and paint trim pieces after my windows went in. They also restained a deck for me. They came out and gave a competitive bid. Subpar communication during the process of attempting to receive an estimate. Contractor Seems overwhelmed and unorganized. As the customer, I never once questioned the price or was rigid with the timeline of finishing the project. Contractor was sporadic with responding to communications and was unable to simply state that they were not interested or unable to complete the project basically wasting both of our time. read more

Brian and his team were AMAZING! My family hired him and his team to paint my grandparent's home before selling it. Brian and team painted the entire house inside and out in 7 days (a 2,000 sq ft. Two story home). They were friendly, professional, punctual and just phenomenal. Worked with our schedule, worked around us packing up the pods, etc. By the end, it felt like they were part of the team/family to get the house sold. The work they did was fabulous, especially noting that my grandma LOVED an accent wall, so they had a lot to cover up. Brian and his team even took on a few additional projects like some floor baseboards, trim around windows and then some. Brian took the care himself to clear coat and fix up the front door with leaded glass that we didn't have the heart to paint, but not the budget to totally refinish. We just wanted to advise anyone who has any exterior and/or interior painting needs to contact Brian Vonderwerth at Gopro Painters (408 960-4646) as Brian is a true professional, not only excellent at getting the job done timely and well, but also in engaging, quoting, and following through to complete the job on time and with minimal hassels. Last year we (my wife and I) finally decided to seal and paint the exterior of our 23 year old stucco home and after quoting many different painters, many who would not even commit to a several weeks out necessary completion date. When the time came to finally make a decision on who to award the business, as Brian was willing to promise he would get the entire job done in time for our deadline and was willing to be a little flexible on the total cost, we decided to work with him as during the quoting process he proved to us he truly cared about doing exactly what we wanted and also gave us some invaluable inputs on how to keep the total cost down without sacrificing the paint quality or beauty of the finished job. We trusted him to complete the job as agreed and on time. He paid attention to and executed on every minor detail we brought up in the quoting process, and ahead of our necessary date. As we worked with Brian during the quoting process, we came to realize he was a business (and family) man of integrity who also respected us and appreciated our requirements including the budget. Well, Brian and his team showed up as promised and after he worked painstakingly and thoroughly with my wife to finalize all the exterior colors (3) which included him going out of his way and showing up multiple times to show the actual samples of colors we were considering to ensure right first time results. We really appreciated his care and efforts in doing that as the final results were indeed spectacular. Brian is a true pro as knows its mostly all about the prep work in making the finishing result beautiful and not only did he and his team power wash the entire exterior of our house before starting to paint, they also primed well after filling any cracks in the stucco to seal seamlessly before putting the finishing paint including multiple coats on for solid coverage. While in the end we paid a little more for Brian's services than other quotes we had received, it was well worth every penny as he not only completed the job on time but we were totally satisfied and very happy with the end result (you only get what you pay for). Brian and his crew were courteous and respectful as well to clean up thoroughly after the job and also careful about all our plants around the perimeter of the house. He and his team treated the job as if it was his own place even down to some finishing touches he assisted my wife on which he hadn't included in the quote, we really appreciated that. Well, this year we decided to convert our living room and dining room into a billiards/dining room for entertaining and after quoting a few interior painter referrals and not even getting most of them to get back with quotes timely, we thought of Brian, so one phone call and within a couple days Brian came by to quote the job and confirm he would complete by when we wanted, and once again unlike many of the other painters we tried to engage initially. On this second project, Brian quoted us lower than multiple other options so it was a no brainer to award Brian the job once again. As before, Brian gave us "white glove" service and support on the project including invaluable input on the project as well as tirelessly showing my wife different color samples (we had 4 different colors for this job-flat white for ceiling, semi gloss white for all the wood trim on the window sills, stair case, and front door, and satin gray matching our new pool table felt/dining room table conversion for the walls, and lastly sanding and painting the banister to match our dark hardwood maple floors) to make sure the end result would be perfect and him and his crew showed up and completed the job as promised in less than a week and as on our our exterior, Brian brought our vision to a beautiful reality while being pleasant and actually charming throughout the job, minimizing our involvement and concerns/stress. Brian is now our true friend and any painting that needs done that I prefer not to do, he will be getting the call as he is trustworthy, fair, and truly cares about his customers, in addition to doing excellent work. We highly recommend Brian and Gopro Painters as they make getting your house painted, outside or inside, an exciting, fun, happy, and not too expensive (versus doing it yourself) experience. I normally do not write these posts, however felt I needed to in order to protect other homeowners. DO NOT CHOOSE GOPRO Painters to do any of your painting. We had a nightmare experience with Brian. First, he was supposed to fix the drywall since there were a lot of areas that needed to be fixed and he did none of it. He was supposed to paint my linen closet as well and did not do it. I found paint on my fixtures, door knobs, two of the cabinet doors in my kitchen which I can't take off so I will need to sand and re-varnish and worst of all he painted my brand-new luxury vinyl floor. He ruined my brand-new flooring and there is still paint on all the outer edges by the baseboards. When he trying to taking off the paint all he was doing was taking off the top layers of my new flooring. I found a scratched piece of flooring as well when I was trying to fix the paint myself. He also damaged pieces of the new baseboards where gaps of paint were taken off and some of the baseboards were missing layers of wood. All of this damage, because he refused to paint the baseboards before they were installed like my husband asked giving some smart remark how that was done back in 80's or something. He obviously doesn't know how to tape either as there shouldn't have been paint on my floor or anything in my home. Also beware he wants a progress payment even though it's not called out in the contract. The contract only states payment in full after completion which he didn't abide by as well. After all of this he claimed he wanted to make things right so I demanded some of my money back. He actually had the nerve to say he'd come back and paint what was needed which was an automatic no. After all the damage he did why would I trust him to paint anything else especially since we have new flooring throughout the home. It's been several weeks and do you think we have heard from him about refunding some of the money - ABSOLUTELY NOT. This guy just damaged our property and stole our money. There isn't any other way to view this. We landed up having to repaint about 70% of the home ourselves after we had someone else fix the drywall which costed us more money out of pocket. I honestly don't know what he painted as I found so much that wasn't even painted. Just a horrible job, and a total disregard for our home and us. He shouldn't be painting anyone's home as far as I can see. read more
