Doug came out to install a reverse osmosis water filtration system under my kitchen sink back in May 2016. After doing some fall cleaning under the sink, I noticed a huge leak coming from a plastic fitting for the water filtration system. It looked like Doug cut my copper piping and installed a plastic adapter to divert water as needed to the system. This adapter was steadily leaking and had build up of slime, indicating that this leak was present for quite some time. The leak was so bad that water was streaming through my cabinet, flooring, down my exterior wall, across my sidewalk and pooling up on the edge. I had always attributed this water on my exterior wall and sidewalk from an Window A/C unit above the exact area, I began to suspect otherwise after I removed the window unit to winterize the house and the water on the sidewalk remained consistent I notified Gordon Bros immediately, they sent a technician to fix the leak and told me that a manager would be in touch about the water damages under my sink. I never received a follow up call. I called the company twice and each time was told that a manager would call me back by COB - never received any call. The company touted how they're a "Big family company" and they care about their customers, I guess they only care about their convenient customers, it's been over a month and I still have no follow up. read more

The water system works great and was as-described during the sales pitch. How can I give it just two stars then? 1. The sales pitch takes 2.5 hours. There was NO warning that it would take this long during the advert process. So I, with no heads-up, gave 2.5 hours of a Saturday to learn about how my water was. Did I learn a lot? Yes. Could they have done a better job warning customers about the time commitment? Definitely. 2. The installer HIT MY FRICKIN HOUSE WITH HIS VAN during the install process. I have since reached out to Gordon Bros about how they're going to correct this issue (I sent them pics, including with the van and the damage together in one picture), and have heard crickets. Only use Gordon Bros if your water is really really bad. Spend your money at places with better customer service. read more

I don't think I have ever been more impressed with a company before in my entire life. From the office personnel to the service technician who arrived at my house, everyone was completely top notch. Honest, personable, and beyond helpful! My system had issues that were essentially my fault and they all went completely above and beyond to get it fixed almost immediately, all while being short handed. I 100% recommend! After installation the filter housing was leaking water. Five technician visits later trying to correct the leak the new filter version assembly was removed and the old version filter assembly it replaced was installed. Did I get a refund on the cost difference, no. The unit I bought and thought to be Kinetico turned out to be some off brand they sell that cannot be identified. The unit did not operate for 2 months after installation. The last time a technician was here I mentioned to him that the unit was not using much salt. He then corrected the problem. I also learned that the unit is set to regenerate every 7 days and that each time it regenerates it uses 100 gallons of water. At the prices of water and sewage that is one costly thing to operate. Finally the last time a technician was here I told how dissatisfied I was with the whole system. He told me that he would talk with the Sale Manager, I believe her name was Sarah, and she would contact me in a day or two to discuss what might be done. That was several weeks and I have not heard from her yet. $1,100 down the drain. Best solution is to cut my losses and scrap out this unit and buy the one from Home Depot at 1/2 the price. We purchased a new water softener and drinking water system. The initial sales representative who came out was friendly and knowledgeable. She explained all the water test and the results. She also helped us determine what type of system we would like to purchase with a breakdown of costs and comparisons. The installation was scheduled quickly and completed quickly as well. The service installer went over everything that was installed and showed me what maintenance needed to be completed and when. He was very friendly and made sure everything was cleaned up before he left. A representative called after the installation to make sure everything was satisfactory and the sales rep also called to make sure everything was completed. I would definitely recommend calling Gordon Bros Water. read more
