Tater tots, mac cheese, chicken tenders

Food came out fairly fast. Prices are a bit high. Portion size is ok The food is a bit bland. Not too flavorful. Overall it was ok. Given all the options in the collection, i would suggest looking elsewhere for great food

Fellow yelpers , I'm from the Inland Empire and picky eater. I had seen this restaurant on instagram and decided to take a drive to Oxnard to check it out. This place did not disappoint. The staff was professional , and friendly. The menu is simple but has something for everyone. Who does not like chicken , fries and Mac n cheese? This place has a Gordos Chicken fries and they are tasty . Hookup with season fries , Mac n cheese, chicken coleslaw with bits of pineapple. It may sound weird but it's tropical and crispy in one bite. The location is nice , you can come with the family, or by your self. The scene is cool . Very nice ambiance to enjoy good food. Will be coming back. You have to check it out your self

This spot is mid when it comes to hot chicken. I've had the GOAT aka Howlin' Ray's many times. So obviously tough to compare to that. It pales in comparison to Dave's and similar establishments. This chicken isn't even hot spicy wise and the breading is terrible. I ordered the 3 tender combo and the bottom of the tenders were soggy with no breading or crispiness. The chicken itself was tender and cooked well. That was pretty much the only highlight. The crinkle cut frozen fries are under seasoned. I can do better at home. The Mac and cheese had a decent flavor but overall nothing special. I've given those spot a couple of tries but will definitely never return. Like many Annex restaurants i doubt they will last. Hopefully the food truck survives.

Food here is delicious! It's become mine and my husband's favorite. He loves hot chicken and we've tried other places but this place is better than all the others. The spice is perfect, perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Fries and Mac are delicious too. We will drive 30-40 minutes just to eat here. Definitely worth the drive!

The food is good. I'd say a solid 7 out of 10. The customer service is good. The service could be a bit faster but it's not terribly slow. It's a food truck so no place to eat and sit down. It's a park it & spark it type of vibe. The Cole slaw has pineapple, which is controversial but I like it. The Mac and cheese is 10x better than the fries. The fries look well seasoned but they still lack more flavor. The sandwich is over all good, I recommend the try out.

First time eating here and the food was amazing ordered a 3 tender combo and every bite was like heaven the best part is I got a free drink since I asked if it came with the combo after I payed and received my food

Fries, chicken, and the so-called mac and "cheese"

This place was GOOD before it was changed to Gordos. The chicken was insanely dry and bland. The noodles claimed to be mac and cheese but was actually a tomato cheese sauce and was mushy and over cooked. The fries were decent. They somehow managed to mess up pre-made Kings Hawaiian rolls by soaking them in butter and attempting to make them be like Texas toast. They were soggy and inedible. Gordos ruined this place.

I ordered the 3 finger combo with regular spice level

It's a clean, contemporary space, though there isn't much else to say about the décor; it does its job without drawing too much attention to itself. The real surprise was the food. The noodles were excellent, far better than I had expected. It was flavorful and satisfying, the tofu was cooked perfectly, and the broth struck a nice balance without being overly spicy. Everything came together really well, making for a genuinely pleasant dining experience. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening, and I'd happily return.

I saw that they had Yukejeon on their menu and I had to get it. I have been craving it ever since I got back from Korea and it was as if I never left. I recommend you give it a try. Also, since this was my first time I wanted to try something else and the worker, Judy was extremely helpful. She told me all the popular items that people have been ordering lately and I've decided to go with the Soy Garlic Fried Chicken. I'm so glad she recommended it because it was one of the best Korean fried chicken I've had in a long time. Now the inside of the restaurant itself is another great factor. Has a nice modern interior design with a nice shade of yellow. Exceptionally clean and had great Korean music playing. Overall, from walking in to leaving, one of the best services Ive had in a while. If you live in the area of Ventura, I highly recommend you go check this spot out. I'd give this spot more than five stars if I could!

We thought, "What the heck is Angry Chikz?" And walked in ready for anything. First surprise is you get to select your own spice level: Country (no spice); Mild; Medium; Hot; X-Hot; and Angry (need a waiver). My husband and I both went for Medium--and glad we did--because even medium-level of heat does not mess around. (Am unsure if I can handle Hot level, but would like to give it a try next time). The amazing thing--beyond picking your spice level is the texture of the chicken tenders that come out. I am from the south and I make fried chicken, but it IS NOT EASY to make extra-crispy fried chicken. Much less to make extra-crispy chicken breasts (which are often dry inside). Angry Chickz NAILED the extra-crispy crust (and a fine, thin crust it is!) AND the chicken breast tender inside is TENDER. The contrast between the spicy-crispy crust and the tender umami-chicken inside is intoxicating. To add to the fun, the menu options include buttery rice (which I loved!) and cole slaw. Again, being from the south, I can't help but love anywhere that serves rice and cole slaw. Those are my love language! I chose the #4 with rice, cole slaw, two tenders, and pickles (really crisp homemade-tasting pickles--not the rubbery canned kind at all). My husband got the Hangry Fix bowl that is two tenders chopped up, with rice, mac 'n cheese, and slaw. Angry Chickz is likely to become an obsession--it's that great. There is one downside--if you stroll in expecting to stroll out in a few minutes with your food like other fast-food restaurants, you'll be surprised. It does take between 15 and 20 minutes to prepare an order. But the chicken will be hot, HOT, crisp, tender, and delicious. This Ventura location is convenient. And the service was lovely. But be patient. It does take a while to make great fried chicken.

I finally asked server with her back to me all that time while she was talking with kitchen re orders, is there someone available to take orders?
