Great selection of boats but it's a kind of cartoonish "company town" because Gordy's seems to own almost every storefront on the block, and everything is emblazoned with their logo, including the Hummer H1s. They're really the only game in town, and this seems to leave them appearing kind of complacent. read more

This review is for a Tritoon boat rental for the week leading up to July 4th weekend. We rented the tritoon for half a day weeks in advance of our trip to Lake Geneva. Once we saw that rain was expected for the day we rented the boat, we were able to switch days seamlessly without issue. Check in the morning of was easy. Our friend (who is the most familiar with boating) drove the boat and received a quick tutorial and tour of the boat plus safety instruction. Once we hopped aboard, the boat was very clean and there were no issues at all with the boat. When it was time to dock the boat, the dockside workers guided us to dock, hopped on the boat and parked it for us. It was a terrific experience. Would rent again from this company. read more

Thank you to Marcos at Gordy's for exceptional service and attention! I recently reached out to Gordy's about a potential boat purchase and had a bit of an unrealistic request that required an immediate response on a Sunday when the offices were closed. I first tried calling the office - knowing they were closed - but wondering if someone might answer. I got the recording indicating the business hours, so decided to send an email through the website contact form...fully expecting that I wouldn't hear back until they re-opened on Monday morning. Literally within 30 seconds of submitting the inquiry on the website, Marcos called me back on his personal phone and asked how he could help. I explained the situation and he was extremely responsive and helpful - again on a Sunday while he was actually out with his family. From there he communicated with me all day and sent all the information I needed - even working with his managers and other staff at the location that were also off on Sunday - and allowed us to make the decision in time with our crazy schedule by Sunday evening. I was beyond impressed with the service and personal attention and would absolutely do business with Gordy's again. Thank you! read more

I discovered this establishment off an internet blog site. The blogger spoke highly of Gordy's, stating how good they were at getting cobalt boat parts. So, being that I was needing a part for my boat, I decided to call Gordy's and order a part. I called mid morning to get in touch with the parts department. The lady who took my call seemed friendly, but said that Matt or Mack (hard to understand name over the phone), in parts, wasn't available but I could leave my name and number and he'd call me right back. So I did. Five hours later, I made another attempt to call back, since I hadn't heard from anyone. Guess what, I get the same lady on the phone and guess what, she wants to take my name and number because Matt or Mack, was busy helping a customer. I told her this was second and last attempt and based on my first call, I was going elsewhere. I told her not to bother reaching out and that their customer service was sub par. Why would I want to support a business with poor customer service? That's too bad, I was going to give them my business. Now they get my bad review. Some business's never learn. This is our third year in a row going to Gordy's and renting a boat to go tubing. The whole family drives up every summer and the only weekend we could get it to work this summer was late in August. We were nervous that the weather would be crappy (which it was not so great) but then again the entire summer has kinda of sucked anyways. The reasons I like going to Gordy's 1. The staff is always friendly and helpful 2. You can come back early and not get charged for the whole time you thought you would be out, just the time you were actually gone for (and on a colder day today, we definitely did not stay out for the full 4 hours we normally do). 3. The boats are always clean and in good condition 4. It is not outrageously expensive 5. They let you pick out which tube you would like to use and there are lots of choices 6. They will let you cancel in advance which most boat rentals we found in Lake Geneva will ONLY give you a rain credit (annoying!) Overall, another great experience even if it was a cooler out, we still had a great time! read more

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM PRO SHOP!! Selling cheap products that fall apart in one wear for a high price. Very low quality apparel. Very rude employees with horrible customer service refused to return or simply exchange a DEFECTIVE sweatshirt that cost $60. They overcharged us several times to fix parts/make repairs/detail things on our boat that we never approved. They picked up our boat without our permission then asked for payment in order to release the boat (again for repairs not authorized). do NOT use them to store your boat. read more

Rolled up to get some last minute and much needed gas at about 7, Jerry came to help us immediately and was very nice/courteous. Even though they were closed, he saved us last minute and made some great conversation! Needless to say, great employee and great place. read more

My family and I have been coming to gordys for many many years and received great service renting boats except today when we returned the boat the three males helping us were just chatting to each other along side the boat while we struggled to haul our coolers and bags off the boat and no hand to help get us off. In addition, our radio on the boat did not work and this was of knowledge to the crew but continued to rent out the boat with no discount; they said it goes in and out but it wouldn't turn on at all. Disappointed to say the least. The boys seemed more concerned with their tans than helping us. read more

My partner and i have both been doing a tour of the states and thought whist we are over here we would love to do some water skiing (we both one ski back home) so we thought we would book a private lesson to improve. Little did we know the private lesson turned out Not to be a lesson but it was just one guy driving the boat back and forth offering no advice on how to improve (made the comment when we got there that he was happy we could ski so it's easier for him also didn't introduce him self and didn't bother to ask our names let alone learn them) . also might add it was not good driving! I have grown up on a lake and had my father driving me who competed in boat racing so I have learn how things work. I am a light person and he was ripping me out of the water. I have always been able to deep water start but could not Do it once. My partner who is a bigger guy said it felt like his arm sockets we being ripped out. When we asked for him to slow down when towing us out he did not listen once. Over all disappointed especially since we forked out $200 ( we are on a 6 week tour so that money is valuable money to spend) Don't offer private lessons and a mass rate if you don't intend on giving a lesson and only someone to drive the boat. read more

Great restaurant with a very diverse menu. Place gets VERY busy so plan to wait, but waiting outside looking right at Lake Geneva is a nice place to pass the time. Both food and service is excellent (have to say the cutest waitresses anywhere) and the Friday night fish fry is really really good. read more

We traveled to Fontana when Lake Geneva was crazy busy. A friend mentioned Gordy's, so we gave it a shot. Parking was doable and just a block from the front door. We expected a 20 min wait, but the view from the chairs out front made it seem like no time at all. We scored a window seat, and the people and boat watching was great. I had the filet mignon sliders, and they were excellent! So tender. My husband had the ribs, and they were very meaty and delicious! I had no complaints! read more

Just a short swim away from the lake house... Actually a pretty long swim for me, but a short drive or boat ride. Love the sandwiches and souvenir cups they are a constant reminder that it's time to head back to Fontana. read more

Purchased an A25 Cobalt in Tennessee. Most beautiful boat on the lake. Brought it home only to find out that we cannot get it serviced by our local dealer (Gordy's Marine). After calling the first time and not having our call returned, I called back and was informed that they'd need at least three weeks to get to it. I was also told that they already have enough customers and will not be taking new customers. Quite disappointed! In purchasing a Cobalt, we wrongly assumed that we could expect excellent customer service. We LOVE our Cobalt boat, but it's a shame we cannot have it serviced locally. read more

Gordy's is hands down the best. The best quick restaurant, boat rental, watersports rental, service, and dealer of cobalts. They provide nothing but excellent service whether its tying you up at the pier, or taking you out for a ski/wakeboarding lesson. I will probably never find a boat marina as good as Gordy's ever in my life. read more
