We waited in line for 10 minutes with one couple in front of us. It was busy with drive up services and we understood the wait. However, someone came in behind us and they were served and rung up before us even though by that point we were in the front at the register. They had us move over to have the other people pay. We would most likely come again, but we were appalled by the service today and ended up not ordering. read more

After gorging ourselves with fatty hamburgers, cheese curds and French fries at Gordy's Hi Hat (what were we thinking?! Our cholesterol levels will be off the chart!) we sauntered across the busy parking lot to this sister property of the Gordy's complex. The coffee was a fine antidote to the burgers. The Warming House actually offers healthy lunch food choices, too. The chaos and hub-bub of the Hi Hat is seems distant compared to the subdued, calm mood here in the coffee house. Wanted some ice cream and a shake. Drove into town and stopped here rather than a National chain. Placed our order and drove away. The ice cream was good. The shake was anything but. It had the consistency of 2% milk. Had I been driving, we would have turned around and got a replacement. Since I felt it was important for management to know what the quality of their product was going out the drive through, I decided to call. Well, they don't answer the phone, don't afford you to opportunity to leave a message, but they do give you information on how to order online. From where I sit, what they want is "give me your money and shut up." I prefer to support local. But if local doesn't want to care about local, maybe spending my money elsewhere might be what I do in the future. read more

I frequent the Warming House quite often as my best friend is a manager there and it's got a great atmosphere. But I went in today and one of the employees, Josef was just so sweet and kind. He gave off such a caring and genuine vibe. He's like his own little ray of shy sunshine peeping out from the clouds. But he made me an amazing drink and he always is intentional about saying a kind word to me or checking in on how I'm doing. That might be insignificant in some peoples eyes, but I've been struggling with my physical and mental health. And my encounter with him today was the encouragement and confidence I needed to keep fighting my battles. Josef didn't know what I've been going through but he made a lasting impact. He deserves a raise and maybe free ice cream for life. read more

Super friendly service....and the drinks were quite tasty! First time visit from California.....the weather was shockingly cold and this place just hit the spot.... We tried the rocky mountain drink and the other one was the pumpkin cream cocoa.....soooo good!!! A small, intimate, personal coffee shop that serves up great deserts. The warming house was born as an extension of the Gordy's Hi-Hat restaurant - a mainstay for locals looking for great burgers. While great burgers and fries/onion rings seem to be a great food for the summer, the Hi-Hat also served some killer shakes. The problem: I always wanted one year round! Lucky for those that live in the area - Gordy's decided to open the Warming House and create a fantastic little coffee shop stocking delicious deserts, fresh made ice cream, piping hot coffee, and the best shakes around. Stopped there for the first time, even though I've eaten at Gordy's Hi Hat several times. Huge selection of ice cream. A scoop is huge! Those soft serve ice cream places have nothing on the Warming House! They also have a coffee shop in there. I'm not a coffee fan, but it was a very cozy place to go inside. read more

Gordy's Warming House has great lunch options such as freshly made sandwiches and soup, as well as coffee, ice cream, and baked goods! The vegetarian sandwich with chicken wild rice soup is my go-to choice for lunch, but you can't go wrong with any of their soup and sandwich options. I also highly recommend their raspberry white chocolate mocha, which is out of this world!! The environment is very cozy, especially in the winter months when their indoor fireplace is lit. This is a nice cozy coffeehouse frequented by all ages and has the ambience expected. Coffees are good; I had the Santa's mocha but I like Starbucks peppermint mocha better. No whipped cream or sprinkles in this one for similar cost. I was looking for a quick breakfast sandwich, but I am vegetarian and they had nothing suitable in their case and I saw no menu. At first glance, this is a cute stop for coffee, a light snack or some ice cream. The place is dirty. The table tops are very worn and feel tacky and dirty. A couple was enjoying some ice cream with their toddler in a high chair which was filthy around and inside the whole frame. The food and dirt was not new. Looking around the windows they were neglected. The owner/manager would be wise to actually sit at some tables, look around and see what customers see. The place needs more than just a surface cleaning. I won't be back for coffee or a meal because based on the condition of the public area. read more

We always stop here on our way up north and absolutely love this place (just got back from a long weekend up there and decided it's time I wrote a review) - my go-to's are the chili, coffee drinks and malts. This last trip we bought a few of their coffee blends to take with us for the weekend and couldn't have been happier. I look forward to stopping here every time we drive north...and can't wait for Gordy's Hi-Hat to open again come spring - their burgers and onion rings are amazing! read more
