We had some bog bulky items that we really wanted to give to the S-------- A---- but they were VERY expensive and couldn't find a window for us. We had a huge credenza and a table, chairs, China cabinet, and Lazy Boy chair and these guys jumped into action, and it's all gone! Well I want to tell you a little bit about junk box on August 25th junk box was supposed to be at…read moremy home at 9:00 at 10:00 I called him they said oh I guess we forgot to put you on the schedule real apologetic said I'll be out there at 11:30 which he was Jacob is his name we got here he had it a trailer that was 3/4 the way full of a refrigerator to refrigerators and a cabinet he took what he could take off my property he said the price would be $378 but because of the confusion that morning with the scheduling he said he'd do it for $300 so if I'm paying this gentleman for the half a load or less than a half load I'm handing him $300 cash plus an extra 50 cuz I told him I might add a couple things he says well when I come back I'll come back with an empty trailer he was supposed to have been back here on Tuesday he called me and we changed the date to Thursday at 9:30 he calls me at 9:30 says he's going to have to reschedule I said okay I had most of the stuff piled up that I want to take it off but when he come back he come back with a half full trailer which he did tell me he would come back with an empty one he took what he could take and then told a friend of mine but that was all he could take and he left I called him I brought all this to his attention about the trailer being half-full he said he was done here I said you told me you was coming back with an empty trailer he said if I would have done that I would have lost money he said I gave you two half loads that's it well I didn't get to have cuz the first trailer was 3/4 away full and the second trailer was about 3/4 away full so he took about 2/3 of my stuff and basically told me tough luck which I have now called a another junk service to come back and pick up what this gentleman Jake who is the general manager wouldn't take or wouldn't work a deal out with me I don't usually do this to any companies but I'm just tired of being dumped on and just kind of stuff just makes me very very upset thank you for your time for whoever is reading this beware things are not always as they say they are. David contacted me immediately after my initial Yelp request. We booked and I paid the deposit. The…read moreday before the move he called to confirm and gave me a window for arrival. Told me he could give me an additional discount if I completed payment. He had been so responsive I paid the remaining balance. Day of move they did not call during the window to let me know they were coming and DID NOT SHOW - although I had called and left multiple messages. After this negative review posted (day of scheduled move) I heard from David almost immediately demanding I take down my review or he would not do the job. He said driver got delayed and my phone number showed as potential spam. Whether it did or didn't, I left him several voicemails with my name/number. No call was unacceptable. Plus he had called me on this same number at least three times prior to move date. I cancelled the job with him and fortunately found a same day mover that could help move the few large items we couldn't lift. I also received a call from David's third - party vendor contracted to do my move. He explained that he had a flat tire and was on his way but it would take 2.5 hours to arrive. I let him know I cancelled with David due to lack of communication and being on a tight time constraint to turn in keys. I encouraged both vendors to communicate and respond in real time to avoid this in the future. UPDATE: Later that same day I received a nice, professionally written, message from Jennifer with the company. She apologized and let me know a refund would be initiated but could take up to 14 days. I told her I would update my review once I saw the refund came through. As of today I have received 1 of the 2 refunds for the total amount (they were on different cards) and she verified both were initiated. While my experience with this company was not good, I do appreciate Jennifer's response and following through on my refund so I increased my rating from 1 to 2 stars. I do hope the best for this business but there are improvements needed.
