I ordered my girlfriend flowers from here for Valentine's Day and she loved them. I chose Gotham because they offered flowers that she likes that I could not find at other places and the examples on their website looked great. They delivered them first thing in the morning to her office (on Valentine's Day, mind you, which was before she got there so they left them with the front desk who was able to bring them up to her floor when she got there two hours later). This could have been a beautiful orchid but it arrived broken at the stem - on my birthday. I left two messages for the florist and they did not return my calls. My dad found them on-line. I didn't have the heart to tell him that the plant arrived broken at the stem and died several days later. This review is for their customer service. I received a beautiful gift of succulents for my birthday, delivered to my office. The plants themselves were beautiful, and the bowl they came in was nice as well. Overall, it's a beautiful plant to keep in my office. However, I noticed that the ceramic elephant that came in the arrangement was missing its tusk and its trunk. I emailed the company, who had me send them pictures of the defective elephant, which I did. They said they would send a new one and I was satisfied. However, when I did not receive the package after several weeks, I sent a follow up email. This email was never responded to, and six weeks after receiving the delivery, I am writing this review. My other complaint is that the care card that came with the succulents said to water the plants every day. This seemed odd to me for succulents, and when I asked the company via email, all they said was that they must have included the wrong care card. Hopefully I did not do any damage to my plants by watering them the first day. Additionally, the reason I communicated via email with this company is because they did not answer their phone despite multiple attempts to contact them. Overall, nice arrangements but careless/inattentive customer service. read more

While I appreciate this, the flowers were not the arrangement I selected (and did not include a vase) and the flowers were pretty dead when they arrived. First I received an unsolicited refund of about 1/3 of the price, and then another unsolicited refund of the other 2/3s the next day. Received a beautiful arrangement today for Valentines day. The flowers were beautiful, delivery was timely, the fragrance of the roses are tooooooooooo die for! Gotham is usually a highly recommended flower shop, my partner would order my birthday flowers from them. :) Sadly, my only disappointment came with the freshness of these flowers. The outer petals on my roses were curled and darkened, almost black with slight rips. Some branches were loose and droopy. The orchid piece in the flowers had 2 broken petals. I ended up re-arranging some of my bouquet to try and maintain its beauty, so it wasn't too bad. Overall I'm happy with the message of these flowers from my loved one, but wanted to write this review for gotham to keep an eye out. read more

We used Ji for our daughter's wedding at the Prospect Park Picnic House. She was incredible in every way. Her kindness and ease made working with her a pleasure. Her artistry is unsurpassed. She went above and beyond all of our expectations. People fought over the tablearrangements at the end of the evening. She was creative in decorating the Huppah (wedding Canopy) and added beautiful touches all around the room. The bouquets and the boutonaires were little works of art. Best of all she stayed within our budget, and stretched to make sure we were happy -- and we certainly were. I couldn't recommend her any more highly! read more

A NIGHTMARE. To sum it up: the delivery guy was not allowed access to the floor to deliver the flowers... so he JUST left them at the buildings delivery center! He made no effort to call me or the recipient to inform us of the change of plans or that the delivery was even there! He had both our phone numbers. There was no confirmation that the flowers were even delivered. They sat in the delivery center all day!!! I had to call and follow up because neither I nor the recipient knew where they were. Gotham florists closes at 3pm so they didn't even answer the phone!! I had to go out of my way to track the florist down to see what was happening ! I sent them a dm on Instagram and they responded. (Go figure!) The customer service woman rudely blamed the delivery center and said it was their responsibility, not their delivery guy. For a $40 delivery fee they should have contacted me to tell me what's going on. The flowers ended up just sitting there from 11am to 4pm. The surprise was ruined and the flowers looked drab like they were sitting in a basement for hours...which they were. Moral of the story: There are so many great florists in the city ...THIS IS JUST NOT ONE that prides itself on customer service. They have zero communication. Go somewhere else! read more

The consultant (her name starts with Jih but I don't have it written down, sorry!) worked with us on our budget. She had a meeting with us at our venue and got a sense of what we needed. (The space was really tall). The centerpieces were SPECTACULAR! They really took my breath away when we opened the room. I asked her to create a "something colorful" for my bouquet. Last year on my daughter's 24th b-day I had the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers sent to her. For the life of me I could not remember the name of the florist and I was searching the neighborhoods that are close to her office and still nothing.
