When do people have the urge to write a review? When the service or quality is extremely bad or consistent positive experience which makes people feel good to write a review. Let me start with a positive note. I have been eating at this place for some time going back to the time when their PITA sandwich used to be $9+ to now $13+. Make a note of this, during weekdays, they have fresh falafel and tasty Falafel pita sandwich. Tl;DR - Make sure their counter space is clean where they cut the PITA bread and ask the folks to change their gloves, ask if their falafel is fresh or not and watch how clean the open trays with vegetables look like before you eat PITA based or you are pretty much consuming a paid laxative for the day to sit in the bathroom :) **BE AWARE** - If you are eating PITA based sandwiches, then be careful with untrained or attitude filled employees who don't care to change their gloves. When you remind them you change the gloves, they give a look back at you. As usual I went there yesterday, Dec 10th, 2023 weekend without knowing that their PITA falafel will become a free laxative for the day with bad quality falafel and messy counter space filled with food debris and they cut your PITA on top of it and may hold with dirty gloves. I had stomach pain after eating their Falafel PITA sandwich. I am not a clean freak but at the same time, using the same Nitrile gloves worn for several hours or looks sloppy enough to touch the PITA bread which we will actually eat is not fair. I am not sure if food safety department insist them to change gloves before making PITA based sandwiches and even if they do, I am not sure the business insist, train their weekend employess and one asian lady who works in weekdays to change gloves for every PITA based sandwich they make, where they need to touch the PITA bread using their hand without sleeves and PITA being food which can be consumed. During weekdays, I guess they may have trained employees especially the man who always treat customers with respect, dignity irrespective of their color and race. COVID-19 Review: During the SIP, they are offering Curbside Pickup, delivery, and take out. All of the employees were wearing masks and gloves and there were markings on the floor for people ordering, waiting, etc. They have their own parking lot too and designated spots for Curbside Pickup. My partner and I were looking for something on the fresher and lighter side for dinner and Gotta Eatta Pita was right around the corner from where we were. We both ordered Chicken Shawarma bowls and the price wasn't too bad, less than $25. I found that the bowl was surprisingly good, although it did lack a bit in flavor. But the ingredients worked well together in the bowl and it was definitely very light and fresh like I wanted! Unfortunately there wasn't enough chicken and about half way through my bowl I ran out. Came across this place via yelp. We decided to visit on a weekday afternoon during lunch time and they were actually pretty busy. The line was out the door and we ended up waiting about 20 minutes before we were helped, I was not aware that they had online ordering prior to coming here, however, I would recommend placing an online order especially if you are visiting during a busy time. I ordered the falafel bowl with all of my favorite toppings (I think baba ganoush was my favorite, it was really flavorful). I really like how you can choose whatever you would like on your item, sort of like chipotle style. The falafel itself was actually really good. It can be difficult to find falafel that is not dry but I really enjoyed the ones I had here. If you like a variety of flavors, I would suggest ordering the bowl. Staff was nice and friendly, food was really good with pretty large portion sizes, and there was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. We will definitely be back! read more

In search for some Mediterranean grub, I came across Gotta Eatta Pita. I've heard of this place before but didn't realize how close it was to me! Lucky me! The restaurant is a little hidden, right behind Nation's. Placed an order on their website, dropped by about 10-15 minutes later, it was ready shortly after that. Pro tip: place your order directly on their website, it is a dollar cheaper than Doordash! I was pleasantly surprised how big this location is! A ton of indoor and outdoor seating, close to the freeway and they have their own parking lot! Perfect lunch spot. I went with a half falafel, half chicken shawarma bowl with all the fixings! Maybe next time, I'll go for less fixings. lol Everything was good but it was just too much. The pickles were my favorite part!!! Kalamata olives are a must add to the bowl (give me all the salt!) Wish could I of said it was a pleasant experience but sadly not the case. We ordered the "fresh baked bread" and it ache in a plastic bag of 5 pieces, the bread smelt and tasted like bleach. The food wasn't that well and we did spend $100 on 4 of us. We told the employee the bread wasn't right, she insisted we didn't know what we were talking about....never again. Gotta Eatta Pita is a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant, similar concept to Chipotle. They have limited options for proteins (grilled chicken, falafel, or both) in the form of couscous bowls or wraps. You can add pita bread or Baklava as a dessert. You will not see the same variety as say, Yalla's Mediterranean. To their credit, the ingredients are fresh and quality is excellent. By the time you add the creamy hummus and load up on eggplant, purple cabbage and Tabouleh you have a very filling meal. I like the Pleasanton location since its much larger than the Danville location. Plus, its right across the street from our gym. Lastly, super clean restrooms! read more

I like all the things you can optionally add to your meal - a base of couscous + greens, hummus, mixed salads, tahini, saucey eggplant (which was really delicious). They've also got a few toppings that are an extra $0.75 (e.g., the roasted red peppers, olives, cheese), but this additional price isn't not mentioned anywhere clearly visible when choosing toppings. The staff also didn't say anything about this additional price when I asked for the peppers, so though minor, it was mildly annoying to find out when at the register. Overall, it was really tasty and satisfying! The falafels were crispy, freshly done, and delicious. The bowl was also generously filled and topped. Honestly, I was going to give a five star review to this location however, they promote curbside pick up on the website and also on-site. When I came to pick up my order, I received a text to reply "here" when arrived so they can bring up the food to my car. This feedback is for your loyalty program with the worst possible company (squareup). I was happy when this place open up here and visited 5-6 times, food was OK with prices slightly higher than others which is not so big deal. Then I started getting coupons for being loyal customers like $5 off, free falafel sides etc etc, none of them ever worked, points vanished, reached out to them multiple times but no response. The e-mail claims to respond in case of issues but never got response. One person from GEP finally reached out to me claiming to resolve the issue but he also gave up and delegated to another person who never contacted me. I almost forgot about this place but today again the shameless loyalty program sent me SMS giving $5 off which has no instructions on how to use it. I am not coming back till you are associated with this squareup crap. Hopefully others have similar experience and try to stay away from the wonderful loyalty program and GEP acts. read more

Literally would be 0 stars if that was an option. Stopped here on the way home yesterday because our go-to Mediterranean food place shut down a couple months ago. I wish we would've just waited until we got home to eat! Literally everything about it was disgusting . You gotta try this place! It's like a Mediterranean-style Chipotle. I like to order the bowls since they come with a lot when you order all the options compared to a stuffed pita. For the base, I get both couscous and mixed greens. The toppings are all great, especially the eggplant. I like to eat the falafel dipped in the hummus and tahini sauce. A bowl is shareable, but I recommend ordering a couple sides of their AMAZING Pita bread if you plan to share. I found a really good place like this in DC so I think I have a lot higher standards. The Falafel has great flavor and is very crispy which was really good. However, their Chicken Shawarma was not appealing to me at all. It was like small chicken strips and the flavor just wasn't good to me. Their pita bread is flaky and was not warm which they served it so it was not my favorite. The chicken and falafel are the only two options they offer. Along with just a bowl or in a pita. They have a stubborn soda machine which offers really good different types of soda (I normally don't drink soda but these were pretty good). They also have Baklava available for purchase. The place has plenty of seats that you can sit at to eat there. The staff could definitely be a little more informing and definitely more friendly. This business cheats people and has no quality standard. I ordered 2 orders of Falafel (6 pieces each) along with other items. I was assured there were 12 pieces in the pack. When I opened the pack at home, I find only 11 pieces and one of them looks like something even my dog would not eat. The staff very clearly knew what they were packing and that they were short of falafel on my order. Its 7.50 pm and I tried to call and they won't pick my call since its about to close. Protein options are Chicken and falafel with couscous, greens, tabuleh, Greek and cabbage salad. I almost forgot the hummus and the hot pepper sauce along with she savory sweet eggplant. Lots of good stuff with perfectly contrasting tastes to add to your bowl. Be warned that the pepper sauce is no joke! Gotta Eatta Pitta hit all three marks - we shared a half and half bowl with a pita on the side. Price came out to only $15 for 2 people. The portion is really big for the price you pay. **Covid 19 out side eating review** So I have door dashed Gotta Eatta pita a few time, but we got the family plates to share and it has been really good. My wife and I were out running Errands and were craving some fresh and healthy. Well I am no Nutritionist but it looks healthy to me, i order the chicken shawarma pita with everything on it. Well the guy was making it, i was in my head, "is that is all the chicken they put in" thinking what a gip. However to my surprise after stuffing all my toppings into the pita he went back and put more chicken in. This was great because now it's not just like a bunch of chicken and the toppings, it's all mixed together and very generous at that. If you like pitas and chicken shawarmas, then this is your jam. It's good, like really good, like I could eat this several times a day in a row good. However go light on the spice, because when they say spicy it spicy. They also have this really good sugar free soda, I forgot the name. But it was really good.
