I think in today's world, everyone thinks that they should be first, but at the end of the day these doctors are dealing with patients' hearts, so they have to triage who they see and when. Scan your ID, take a photo, and then security will give you a sticker with the patient's room number. Flowers may or may not be allowed depending on what floor the patient is staying on. There is a small area by the entrance where you can leave them if you can't bring them up so you can pick them up on your way out. My uncle came here on a Monday for what he thought would be a simple angioplasty. Unfortunately, it was much worse than they thought, and he ended up having open heart surgery a few days later. I have to say, the cariology department here is top notch! He ended up with the best Cardiologist - Dr Yun. The nurses and staff were all very friendly and after a few days my uncle had their personal cell numbers so he could stay in touch. I'm grateful that they took such great care of him, and he was back home in time for his 80th birthday celebration!

This facility and doctor was brought to my attention years back when my relatives (YES, MORE THAN 1) loss mobility to their leg(s) after getting a procedure done here. The issue was that they received services that were not needed. Although, both relatives did not receive the services around the same time, they both went to the same doctor for the same procedure. However, it was a simple procedure gone wrong as they both began having pain and mobility issues. THIS IS BECAUSE THEY DID NOT NEED THE PROCEDURE AND IT WAS UNNECESSARY FOR THEM TO EVEN PROVIDE IT! Dr. Hong reassured them that the pain was normal after these procedures and referred them to receive injections to alleviate it. They ended up going in for multiple injections months apart. As the pain got worse and the mobility issues became severe, they made a formal complaint to the doctor. At this time, the doctor began to ignore them and told them to seek their PCP for other referrals. This seems fraudulent... 1. Both patients were healthy individuals with NO health issues. 2. The patients were medicare recipients that was told they needed a procedure. Nothing in any report, xray or ultrasound says they need it. 3. When the patients complained of pain, the doctor referred them to pain management instead of doing any testings or another xtray/ultrasound to see what might have been the issue. If it's normal to have pain, why refer them to a pain management? 4. ALL doctor's are aware that in California the Statute of Limitations for Medical Malpractice to sue is 1 year. 5. By the time the patients complaints about their issues got rigorous and severe, the Statute of Limitations had expired. 6. One patient lost complete mobility to his legs and ended up in a wheelchair. The other patient walks with a cane. Seems like Medicare FRAUD to me...
