He owns probably one of the most memorable coffee experiences you'll have! We chatted for a moment, and under the "Grumpy Barista" is actually a kind gentleman which if you take a moment to offer some kind small talk, he may just make your day, like he made ours! 5/5 for service, coffee, atmosphere!

I bought some nice trinkets for my friends back in Houston for a great price. The courtyard is spectacular; it's filled with little metal sculptures and iron trinkets that really brighten up the outdoor seating. The coffee shop, however, wasn't anything special, and the "grumpy barista" gave me a real hard time over a cup of water, which wouldn't have rubbed me the wrong way if I wasn't paying for a $7 cappuccino and it wasn't 102 degrees outside. Overall an aesthetically lovely place. Really I just have one tip: If I were the barista, I'd learn the difference between being rude and grumpy. You're never too old to learn new things! EDIT: the owner responded back saying nothing on the menu is $7 and that is correct, but I'm not sure why he must have forgotten that add-ins such as almond milk and vanilla syrup (which I got) add on to the drink price. Just wanted to state why my drink was more expensive, and be as "factual" as I can! :)

We met Robin through the recommendation of a friend ... always a good way to start. Robin helped…read moreus redesign our master bathroom. It turned out beautiful, but we were asked to transfer to NY soon after that project competed. Lucky new owners! As we turned our focus from our home to our new, small NY apartment, we reached out to Robin for help once more. We sent her the apartment layout, pictures of a few art pieces we intended to take, and some ideas on furniture styles we like. She and her team did a wonderful job identifying pieces that not only fit the available spaces, took advantage of the surrounding views, and maintained a certain continuity and flow throughout the apartment but, more importantly, met our functional needs as well. The process of identifying pieces, confirming and adjusting them to our feedback, and eventually final selection, was handled seamlessly as we were at the same time working through the logistics of our move, including working with us remotely most of that time. She completed the design, did the ordering, and most importantly arranged delivery and set up in our new apartment ... from 1,700 miles away! Delivery and set up all occurred in one day so had a negligible impact on our work. It was all turn-key -- from laying down rugs, hanging pictures, uncrating and assembling furniture, all the way to cleaning up and hauling away the packaging materials. OH!, and did I mention the pillows? Turns out, you can never have enough pillows. Ask her, she'll tell you. We now have pillows on our couch and bed that, well, just make it feel like home.

What she recommended were color selections we would never have thought of and she completely hit the nail on the head. I highly recommend Robin and her team as they think through every detail and design unique home entirely to fit your style. The renderings and color selections she provides are amazing! I am not great at visualizing how areas will look and found this to be exceptionally helpful. I will definitely use Robin Bond Interiors in the future and refer her to my friends!

Can't recommend strongly enough. We have been living with these blinds for about 6 months now so I…read morecan speak to the service and the experience with the blinds once we got them. Mary, the owner of this Budget Blinds franchise, is the one you'll deal with if you call them and she's absolutely wonderful. She's deeply knowledgeable and experienced and took the time to explain the pros and cons of different product options and to give us good, thoughtful advice about the best choices to make sure the blinds fit with our existing home decor. She's not one of these slick salespeople who are really good at being friendly and polished-looking but don't really know that much and only care about making a quick sale. She is really good at being friendly but in a more real, and genuinely helpful way. Absolutely no pressure or hard sell tactics at all. We almost didn't go with her because we had gotten a quote from another contractor that came in substantially cheaper. Mary looked at the quote and pointed out a few costs that had not been included in that quote, however. And, when I did a little more research, I discovered that the lower quote was almost entirely misleading. If we'd gone with that other contractor (which was also well-reviewed online, I should mention), we would've ended up paying about the same as we paid Mary but for lower-quality blinds with a flimsy warranty. Instead, we got top-quality blinds and I trust 100% that, if we ever have any issues, Mary will be there to help us get them sorted out with a minimum of hassle. I did have to ask Mary to send someone back out because I wanted to adjust the tension on one of the blinds (in my kids' room), which was not rolling up as easily as I wanted it to. The technician was out very quickly and fixed the problem immediately. He then showed me how I could adjust the tension on any of my manual blinds very easily, making sure to watch me practice the procedure and make sure I had it right. We got fabric blinds--light blocking in the bedrooms and light filtering in the other rooms. The fabrics look really beautiful and rich; I absolutely love them. In a couple of rooms got a motorized open/close mechanism (with smart hub to operate with our phones, plus it came with a couple of wall-mounted remotes). In the rest of the house (kids' rooms, playroom, etc.), we just got simple, manually-operated fabric blinds. All work great--exactly as promised by Mary. The motorized ones are really nice. They use a rechargeable battery that needs to be charged once every 3 months or so, which is super easy. You just plug in a USB cable. We got a long one to make that easier and it's really no trouble. The ease of the motorized mechanism more than makes up for that slight bit of work every few months. We got very light colors in the light-blocking blinds and I worried a bit about them getting dirty but they've been impressively resistant to getting dirty. They've gotten smudged a few times (by the dog or the kids) and I just used a Magic Eraser, which the technician who installed them suggested as the best way to clean them, and it worked great. They came out looking like new. Bottom line: If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable, responsive source for new window coverings, you can't go wrong with Mary Pokorny at Budget Blinds of Southeast Austin. NOTE: Although it's called Budget Blinds of Hays County and Southeast Austin, we live in Oak Hill (definitely not east) and were still within her territory.
