My best friend was looking for a new church and since this place is six minutes away, I said let's try this place. The music is fire. The worship team is definitely about Israel Houghton and it was fun and singable for everyone in the auditorium (which I've found worship teams forget to consider these days). They have a large cafe and it was good to have a place to sit while we waited for service, but wow, that coffee line is way too long, so we didn't get to try it. My bestie is considering this place but wants to know more about their doctrine. If it's sound, then she most likely will be making it her church home so I'm full of hope.

I read each Yelp review as well as those on Google. I would be remiss if I did not call out that my experience was/is not similar to that of another Yelp reviewer (Mani A.), nor is it based on one visit to/experience at Vijay's Sherawali Temple.  I reviewed the temple's website (eastbayhcc.org) before calling the temple for more information. I spoke with Romiel Chand (owner), who was sincere, gracious, respectful, professional, and extremely patient, taking time to address every single question I had as he described his/his family's vision for the temple with great pride and respect for the Hindu faith and culture. Romiel welcomed me and my daughter to the temple that same day/evening. Since then, my daughter and I have visited the temple each day they are open, including Sundarkant, and most recently, daily, for their scheduled programs throughout Pitru Paksha 2023 and Navratri 2023 including Navratri | Mata Rani Jagaran.  My daughter looks forward to visiting the temple regularly. We have consistently received a warm welcome from Romiel, his mother (Saraswati Chand), temple volunteers (Radha Ji and Sundar Ji), many devotees/bhaktos, and Pandit Sanjesh.  The temple is absolutely breathtaking and well organized and provides an amazingly beautiful environment with positive energy that supports peaceful and uplifting worship, reflection, and meditation. From my observation and experience, the temple's volunteers, devotees/bhaktos, and owner are dedicated to the temple, Hindu faith, and culture through sponsorship and collectively partnering in various ways to serve the East Bay Hindu community.  In my search for Hindu temples nearby me/East Bay/Oakland/Hayward, I came across a news article and video from Diwali 2021 that showcased Vijay's Sherawali Temple and Romiel. The temple is named in honor of his father Vijay, an immigrant who succeeded in the Bay Area as a grocer and in real estate, who dreamed of building a temple for the community but ran out of time. Romiel, his mother, and other family members are extremely welcoming and genuine to all, regardless of race or background. As someone who is not Hindu, I felt very comfortable and at home here in this beautiful temple. They are all genuinely very good and humble people who want to make a real difference in the community. Excited for the next service here at the temple, and will happily continue to be a part of what they have created for many generations to come.

The twin steeple towers of the church can be seen from a far at the top of the hill and is lighted at night making it a beacon of safe passage all these years past and present. All Saints Catholic Church in Hayward was first established on June 18, 1898, and the current church building was completed in 1909. Yes it is ADA accessible. Plenty of parking available and entrance to the area is behind the church at the courtyard and inside the catholic school on the grounds. Another area is across the church with multiple parking slots and also street parking. Attending mass is very comfortable at this church. It is well ventilated and air filtration is constantly on and this gives a very comfortable experience during mass. Hand sanitizers are placed at the entrances as well as inside located visibly the church's pillars for everyone's use along with boxes of tissue incase it is needed. They have fun activities and events like fiestas in September and more. We are active volunteers helping out and everyone is welcome to participate just ask like we did. Daily Mass schedules and weekly scheduled confessions and times are posted on their website and they also have an APP that you can download and sign up and get more info. This was my first pilgrimage tour and I did not know what to expect but I am so glad that I went and experienced the blessings of our Blessed Virgin Mary. Fr. Emilio Reyes was a fantastic spiritual director who guided us, the pilgrims on this spiritual journey that strengthened my devotion to our Lady of Fatima, I gained more expression of devotion to our Lady of Lourdes. I gained more understanding about The Sanctuary of Black Virgin of Montserrat, and The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, in Zaragoza Spain. Also, I've seen some breathtaking sceneries on the way to sacred sites. It was a well organized tour, the staff including the tour host, driver, tour guides showed professionalism and they care about their job. I am very humbled and thankful!! It was a very memorable experience.

This is suppose to be a special moment to be recognized as the crowned queen for the organization. In mass in front of others. However, NO the father doing mass Exits mass! The mother of the queen runs after him. He says he wants it to be AFTER MASS NOT DURING MASS?? WHAT? What Is the point of having a permit for a parade and coming in to church like Joe blow in the community and not to be recognized? The WHOLE purpose of this is to be CROWNED in front or the community!! This is embarrassing and it was one thing when they said no special song will be sung like they have done for YEARS they sang oh holy ghost. Then crowned in front of congregation and walks out. But this was unacceptable. Not to mention the way he did it, crowning the wrong girl St Isabel and it going down falling down her neck!!
