What a great way to welcome out of town visitors to their beautiful church The church is located at the top of a winding road. Thank you so much Theresa your hospitality is greatly appreciated very much. The approach to the church is off of Route 66 (not actually on Route 66) as the Yelp address shows. Ponderosa Parkway ascends up a winding road lined large red rocks from natural materials in the area. Upon reaching the top there is a Catholic church & school. WOW what a beautiful serene setting for a church sitting on top of the hill with mountains behind it and big beautiful willowy clouds against the bright blue sky. The church itself is a magnificent piece of architecture as it sprawls longitudinally across the flat hilltop. The school is on the right to left w/an opening w/a canopy that extends to the church. They are both built from materials from the area. Materials like the red rock so common in the area, faux wood siding and stones from the fields. The entire composition of the building was very artfully composed by the pastor of the church and the result is a beautiful piece of architecture that sits on the hilltop with a beautiful background of Gods creation of the mountains, clouds & sky. The inside of the church carries the same theme using the same materials used on the outside. The red rock is cut to form stone shelves in the entry foyer where religious artifacts and photos are displayed. Inside the church there is a large circular red rock table with rough hewn edges and a large circular bowl holding the holy water. The alter is also a large slab of the same red rock that serves as the alter table. Overall I'm really glad that we took the time to see this beautiful work of art. Thanks again Theresa for being so gracious and opening the doors for us.

However in the interest of going where no Yelper has gone before, I am reviewing it. This is a center that houses a Christian Reformed Church, and they are a group that welcomes everyone regardless of religion. I am Jewish and I came here to visit with my friend and was welcomed. They also have a lot of activities that go on here, and it seems like a pretty tight knit and inclusive group. I can't say I have any complaints about the people who run this place, but I do have some things to say about the accessibility of it. The building itself is small, which can make maneuvering around difficult since some of the hallways are very narrow, however I did not observe there being a need for it at the moment. The acoustics of the place are fine, and there is a kitchen and a store room for amenities. I enjoyed my visit here at any rate, and although I only came here once, I felt it had a very welcoming environment.

Probably not great for those with poor eyesight, hearing aides, mobility issues. Small dark, like bar/club. They also mentioned that they are expending their space. People seem friendly, but none approached our group of 11, everyone is greeted at the door, "good morning, welcome!" (First time there) they mentioned there is childcare and many age/interest groups for everyone. Parking isn't great. I would come bk if their did away with the metal band, turn on the lights, turn down the mic, and preach some verses from the Bible. This church would be good for people who do not like going to traditional conservative, churches, or those in recovery from addictions or young adults looking for friends.

We focus on connecting to God in covenantal relationship, and serving others, like our monthly homemade meals at Hope Cottage, annual Rummage "Sale," and food giveaways like El Tamaleroo Mann on Easter (thanks for the partnership guys!). We have monthly men's and women's groups and honestly, I agree with several other guys who say that group is our lifeline, especially during the socially isolated months of the pandemic. There are a lot of options if you have a busy schedule, and I remember being taught to respect first responders in Sunday school, here, when I was 5. This has shaped my personality as an adult in a positive manner. This is a Bible-based church, focused on the gospel. There is a large college community here, also. If you look online there should be a list of different sermons and meetings/Bible studies/prayer groups.

This tiny chapel was built by a doctor that worked at the Grand Canyon. He and his wife came to…read morethis beautiful area to relax away from work. The chapel sits on land that was part of their original ranch. People today reserve the Chapel for weddings. Reservations are made by placing a note in the chapel. Quirky, but it seems to work. When we were there, reservations extended out more than a year! It's worth a stop if in the area. It's a beautiful place that, if you let it, will completely relax you:-)
