My husband and I have told her numerous times to take them off, yet we are finding my child's image on KidTime's Facebook pages, IG and Google. The owner still illegally posts them for financial gain, even though we have paperwork that proves she doesn't have permission and is not allowed to, ever. I will never bring my child back to this facility due to that reason. It violates child safety and a disregard for the privacy of the child and parents' wishes. An attorney has been contacted concerning this and maybe the owner will heed the attorney's instructions.

My children are in foster care and enjoy going there although I was unhappy on the last few occasions due to missing items etc. I advised the owner via text message I was unhappy- she supposedly placed a credit on my account to cover my lost wipes since this has happened on more than 1 occasion. I personally had no interest in sending the children back to this establishment however my children social worker advised if the children enjoy it they should be allowed to go. I called and made an appointment only to be called back by staff advising there was a suspension and they were contacting the owner to see why. I was never notified about any suspension yet I told the owner I was unhappy with the service and would look for other options; then the owner tried to say after several incidents with the children that are documented. My children have been bitten/hit etc in her establishment as well this is a drop off unlicensed center. I have previously asked what the policy was and was simply told by Kid Time staff that when a child bites or misbehaves the parent must come get the child which has happened on a few occasions. I have also received incident report(s) when my children have been hit/bitten by other children as well. In the text messages the owner never took ownership for any wrongdoing of her staff , blamed me for buying multiple pizzas which I have been doing since they attended Kid Time since I have a sibling group of 4. NO ADULT in one sitting should eat 5 slices of pizza- exercise common sense. I don't recall reading any of the information the owner sent via text in their policies and procedures. I'm disgusted by her and her organization. As someone who tries to support black businesses from another black business owner they will never see a dime of money from me.

My ancestors in the 1700's founded Centre Presbyterian Church which was the parent Church for both this Church and Hopewell Presbyterian Church. More than likely I have a number of distant Aunts and Uncles and others interred in this Cemetery. We have lived in the neighbor for almost 25years and this Church is an integral part of the community. I've known and been neighbor with at least two of their minister. They open up their faculties for the community even if you are not Presbyterian. They are the polling place for Mecklenburg County Pct 208 Polling Place, they permit us to hold our Annual HOA Meeting here, they have an outstanding Scout Program and their annual BBQ fundraiser provides me of the best Que in the area. This is one of the local Churches that put words into action and I'm glad you are here.

They have additional programs kids can participate in like soccer and yoga (an extra fee) which is great for exposing kids to different sports and leisure activities. The teacher turn-over is high. In my daughters class she has had three different teachers since August and several different teacher assistants. This created some drop off issues but she adjusted overtime. She is no longer attending because there have been several cases of hand, foot and mouth disease. The school notified parents but as a precaution we weren't comfortable sending her back. The lack of cleanliness and staff consistency in my opinion is why there were probably a few cases (I am not a doctor but I have spoken to friends and family in childcare). Would I recommend the school for its facility structure and programing yes. Would I recommend them if you want teacher consistency and a empathetic regional director, no

We're a few weeks into care with this facility and so far it's not been a great experience. The…read morecustomer service is trash; they seem completely unaware that we are paying customers and act as though they're doing us a favor. They've asked for grace through the opening process. The cameras in the classrooms not working appropriately, the safety mechanism on the door not working properly, the opening of the business being pushed back. With that being said, grace is not returned. We tried to drop our 2 month old off today 19 minutes past the "cut off time"- which is 9:30am and she was turned away. First of all, having a cut off time at a daycare that's open from 6-6 is ridiculous, my schedule is flexible and sometimes i don't start until later in the day and prefer for her to be with me instead of at daycare. With that said- we realize that is the rule and should have read their terms closer and paid attention- unfortunately we did not- but when you're open for a few weeks and constantly asking for understanding, you'd think you'd be able to reciprocate. Also, she's 2 months old and our first child. What if there's traffic? What if she throws up on us on the way out the door and we have to change her? We cant drop off our child without a DOCTORS NOTE after 9:30 in the morning? Is that a joke? We have to take a day off work because we were 20 minutes "late" to a place we pay to care for our child from 6-6? The director is a cold, unaccommodating, unhelpful piece of the the business. While trying to use their entrance software, which does not work properly, she sits through the door watching us struggle instead of offering help. Once we finally get into the building and explain the issue we're having, she looks at us like we're speaking a foreign language, despite two seconds later being told by another employee that the system had been doing exactly what we were describing all day. She's standing there when we walk in 19 minutes past their cutoff time and instead of offering any understanding about how hard it is to be new parents during this adjustment period, she just turns and walks away without a word. We've picked up our daughter multiple times with crusty vomit in her hair, having eaten 8oz in an 8 hour period, with poop up her back and past her belly button. Watching on the cameras as she's placed in her crib for a vast majority of the day- that is when the cameras are even working. For a company that's just starting out, trying to establish their place in the community with something as important as our children, you'd think it would be all KIND hands on deck- ESPECIALLY in the beginning. Instead we get attitude. In my opinion, they act as though there's no other place in town that takes children and that we're lucky to be there and not as though we are the consumers who are paying their salaries and keeping the lights on. If the behavior continues, good luck filling your rooms.

When we arrived, they were clearly caught off guard by and were not expecting us. The director, Tiffany, seemed bothered by our presence and wasn't friendly. She received a phone call and quickly went back to her office. Janet took over for Tiffany and started providing us information. When it came to our daughter's age, suddenly Tiffany took enough interest to tell us that there were already 6 children in front of us on the waiting list. She seemed to be trying to ward us off. Janet provided us with a tour and was very friendly and kind. When we left Tiffany was still in her office. I told Janet that we would pay the holding fee to be on the waiting list because I thought the uncomfortable feeling I got from Tiffany was all in my head. But, when my husband and I left, he told me he received the same cold and uncaring feeling from her. Perhaps it was my fault and I messed up the day/time that we were supposed arrive. I certainly wouldn't want to inconvenience anyone. I still don't think that excuses the treatment we received. They could have told us to come back another time or they needed some time to prepare because they weren't expecting us. The place was immaculate and I'm sure it's one of the nicest daycares around. Too bad their treatment of people doesn't match their facilities.

This afternoon, I felt extremely unsatisfied with the YMCA, specifically this branch. I am writing this review today due to an extremely unprofessional and unpleasant experience I had with a front desk lady at the Davidson location. I had just rejoined with a different branch, and my information wasn't processed through to this location, and the front desk lady was unhelpful, and simply not friendly at all, and had made multiple comments to not only myself but to whom had joined me as well. The YMCA is a Christian non-profit organization, and I believe as a Christian and as an older woman with life experience especially in a job setting, you should understand that you never know truly what a single person has going on in their lives, no matter what smile, humor, and youth they bring to you. I wish this woman well, but no one; no matter of any age should be treated in such ways, especially in a Christian environment, and that implies to all, including myself. I just wish to see better treatment towards customers and members from employees at this location, and understand cruel judgement in any form isn't the Christian way.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the directors and staff! I wish we had started her prior to her being 1. We had a horrible experience before and I was so nervous at first. The team there is fantastic - friendly and genuinely kind people who care about the kids in their school. Food is included, but it's "kid food" - lots of chicken nuggets and fish sticks - so if you're looking for something organic or fancy you might want to provide your own food instead. That said, they were very accommodating of my kids' dietary restrictions and never made us worry that our kids would be fed something they couldn't eat (something I can't say for every child care facility we've encountered in LKN). The playgrounds are a little old - mulch-filled and older style equipment, chain link fences, etc. Compared to some newer facilities, the playgrounds could use some love, but my kids were happy so I didn't mind. Water play day on Wednesdays in the summer! Ice cream truck visits every other Tuesday in the summer! Older kids might even go for a walking field trip to Bruster's - the highlight of their week. Communication with the front office and with your kid's teacher is more challenging now because of COVID. I found I was still able to reach people if I needed to, and they answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. A weekly newsletter or email from teachers to parents might be a good idea - sometimes we felt surprised by planned events and daily/weekly themes. I love the layout of the building inside - the older kids' classroom in the middle feels very much like a Montessori environment to me. Overall would highly recommend!
