Big church but tries to be small. They have lots of opportunities for small groups (by location),…read moreservice, bible studies. They have services at 8am, 9:30am and 11am. They encourage community. The service is a mix of modern and traditional. It has a worship leader, but they sing some traditional songs. The pastors rotate through, which seems to keep one pastor from being the it" guy. The nice thing is they continue the sermon topic no matter who's speaking. This is a bible based church. They start in a book and work through it verse by verse. It's not a dry as I just made that sound. The pastors are all interesting (although different styles). Give it a try! While in service, there was a smoke/fog of some kind, that burned my eyes. The service was strongly about "look at me" performance,with cameras zooming in on "performers" and not about worshiping our God. Very disappointed.

People were hugging and visiting w one another so you can see the relationships people have with one another. I feel hymns are important and they nicely added in other worship songs. Not the over played ones u hear on radio or in other churches. The flow of the Service was nice, and music lead you from a rejoicing worship to an openness to hear Gods word. Refreshing to see that they have a place for people to worship by playing instruments ,but no rock concert w a crazy light show. If you feel the gospel is important, this pastor preaches w the correct balance of "speak the Word of God w out apologies , but you feel the love he has for others at the same time" we haven't heard the Gospel preached in so many years this was what we needed. He touched on so many things we deal w in this world and how to show Christ's love in different situations. . The gospel was preached, and if you were already a Christian you were given tools to use out in our lives. This was great to come and worship, be restored, then be equipped to go back out in this world. The church has plenty of opportunities to get involved . *Seems that this church has kept about The Lords business even in this crazy time. No crazy side agenda being pushed and you didn't feel ppl were afraid in any way to be near one another. This is important to our family. Each one of us left with convictions we needed , and felt equipped with what we needed to fight the Christian war we are in daily. We look forward to checking out there Wednesday night and both AM and PM Sunday Service. So happy God led us to visit.

I went to an adult group they had a few times while visiting that was spiritually nourishing. I have had some bad experiences with a staff member being overtly rude then suddenly changing attitudes finding out I worked in television. Also, there was a young adult group leader that I'm hoping has matured since I attended the group. That group was extremely elementary for being for adults living in a world facing real problems. Things happen as churches grow larger and it becomes harder to keep up with these things. I do think God's hand is over Cross Church and blessing it. I hope they continue to grow but more importantly are able to keep the community warmly welcomed from all walks of life leading to Jesus and the bad attitudes of the set few are changed so no one is turned away.
