He talked about this during service ( this is what was important to biblical teaching?) He. suggested during a service to please go on Amazon and make good reviews to improve it's rating from 4. Something stars that this bad review reflected. Maybe the book doesn't deserve it? He assumes it does? Then his son in law Adam writes a book and it is required to purchase for the current woman's Bible study? If you don't see this as conflict of interest then you are most likely already comfortable being sheep. An everyday congregation is made up of people dealing with real-world financial pressures--inflation, rent, medical bills, and stressful jobs. Robert is out of Touch, Speaking casually about expensive country club dues at Oro Valley Country club from the stage. This shows a profound lack of awareness of what the average person in the pews is experiencing. Instead of building a bridge of shared human experience, it builds a wall. It reminds the audience that the pastor lives in a completely different financial reality, insulated by the very church budget the congregation helps fund Performative security (treating the pastor lik a VIP or politician) .This behavior is entirely contradictory to a shepherd who is supposed to serve, walk among, and care for their community. The rigid, bathroom policy: it has recently been announced, multiple times, before service that if you need to leave seating area for any reason you will not be "allowed to return to your seat? . Prioritizing pastor's comfort or Parishioners over human needs. ( maybe this is what security is for?) Allowing church leaders (Katie) to posts comments as a representative of church saying "whatever helps you sleep at night" on social platforms. This is not appropriate and certainly not biblical. "Matthew 18:15" The environment has shifted away from a community-focused church I say be on your guard .... Listen carefully and trust your own discernment. That said, my personal experience as a newcomer was disappointing--and concerning. After a service, during a time of fellowship at a restaurant, a wisecrack was made by a man I had never met and who had no idea who I was. It was directed at me for speaking with a married woman who knew I was new and was simply being friendly and welcoming. I found it offensive and inappropriate--especially as a first-time visitor trying to connect. When I brought the wisecrack to leadership's attention, I felt dismissed and that the situation was minimized. That response, in itself, was offensive. Still, I chose to move forward, believing things would improve. Instead, I began to notice a shift. My interactions changed--there was distance, less responsiveness, and I felt as though I was purposely being avoided. I brought that to leadership's attention as well. When I raised this again to leadership via email, there was no response. In essence, my concerns were avoided rather than addressed. I never went back after that. These things cannot go unnoticed. We are called to let our light shine, especially in moments like this--and that didn't happen here. First impressions matter. For someone new, they often determine whether a person feels welcomed or quietly pushed away. For context, I'm a small business owner and naturally approach people with openness, respect, and professionalism. I came in with a genuine desire to connect and be part of the community. In fact, when I first visited, I heard about an upcoming marriage conference and offered to sponsor a couple in need so they could attend, even though I'm single. I was looking for ways to contribute and support others from the start. Unfortunately, I eventually felt misjudged rather than welcomed, and I made the decision to step away. My two-star rating reflects that experience. I do encourage others to visit and form their own opinion--I sincerely hope mine is not the norm. But I also hope this is taken seriously, because how new people are treated matters more than most realize.

So you'll know where I am going with this review. A neighbour wanted to go here and check out the church. Great! Friendly, kind people. But when the music started, it was too loud. Over 80 dB. I turned my aids off and turned them into ear plugs and went to the foyer. 70 dB was better than 80 dB. I needed to protect my hearing. I sat in the foyer till the end of the service, until my friend returned. We were inured. The people were super, but the sound level was too uncomfortable. We found it odd that the did not have any flyers or bulletins. Sadly, we will not return. Reposted.

Pantano Christian Church is non-denomination. It prides itself on Loving People to Jesus. And that's just what they do. If you're in Tucson, definitely plan a visit. The church is huge, but everyone is family, just like at smaller churches. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. The cafeteria food is delicious....best chefs around. Almost every message feels so personal, like the sermon is just for me...deep meanings and great teachings. Pantano has so many strengths. One of their main strengths is with the kids. Not just toddlers or elementary, but they have fantastic groups and teachings for middle and high school ages. And if you have any availability, join in and volunteer. You can be a greeter, help with food, serve communion, help in kids' classrooms, support the audio, etc. The church is decorated well with a huge open area, basketball nets, rock climbing, etc.

Fresh hot and made by local vendors right out front. It's one of those simple things that just hits every time. Add in the little stands and gift shops and it turns into a whole experience not just a quick stop. The mission itself is absolutely stunning. The architecture alone will stop you in your tracks bright white against the desert with intricate details that feel almost unreal. It's still an active church which makes it feel even more special. You'll see people praying attending mass and just quietly taking it all in. The energy here is calm but alive. They host events swap meets and markets too and when they do it's packed. The community really shows up and it's cool to see so many local vendors getting love and support. That said learning the history here adds a layer. Missions like this were part of Spanish colonization and while they're beautiful that history is complicated and at times deeply painful for Indigenous communities. This mission was originally established in 1692 by Father Eusebio Kino in an existing O'odham village and the structure you see today was built in the late 1700s with O'odham labor. It's important to appreciate the beauty while also understanding the full story behind it. Overall this is one of Tucson's most iconic spots for a reason come for the fry bread stay for the history and take a moment to really appreciate where you are.

This place was listed among Tucson's unique attractions, and it was a relatively short drive so we…read moreadded it to our itinerary. The site is less than 15 minutes south of downtown via a couple of interstates. Once you exit it is probably only a mile or so. The mission complex is located on a tribal reservation. You turn off the paved road to a large field of dirt and gravel in front of the mission. The center part of this is given over to semi-shaded stalls for vendors - food like fry bread, etc. Parking is along the sides. When we visited, the facade was partly covered with construction scaffolding, but this was wrapped with tarps that reflected the building beneath it. So you could still get a good idea of how it would look uncovered. Inside, there is the main church on the left (as you face it). This is actively used, so be quiet / respectful. Passing through there (or entering separately on the right) there are several smaller connected rooms that have displays about the history of the building and the local area. In back is a courtyard with a fountain. I'm not sure the public has access to this, but you can view it from a shaded arcade. If you like historic buildings or old missions in particular, this is an easy stop within the Tucson area. And the fry bread we got as we left the parking lot was good too!
