Horrible experience. Upsold like a skeezy used car salesman. Very disgusted when thinking of my experience there and honestly feeling very shocked that there are any positive reviews. Must be the church or friends who have not actually been there in person. Felt like I was being indoctrinated into some sort of weird cult. Guy is a strange and honestly creepy person, who is very ego centric and kind of classic narcissistic/ cult leader personality type. Atmosphere was fine, but just wait until he goes on and on about how he is so much better than other massage therapists, or asks to pray over you, or asks if you are comfortable with certain things and then pushes you to go against your own boundaries. AND JUST WAIT until he breaks out the f-ing sketchy yellow DeWALT drill with an attachment to do trigger point massage (dude- get a sports massager). It's some sort of jimmy-rigged low budget BS that he thinks makes him a genius, when it is very bizarre, poorly constructed, and honestly unprofessional. I got scratches from whatever cheep plastic cover he put on there, and then basically got told that all of my reactions were keeping me from my own healing, and then pressured into buying multiple massages. People in pain are desperate people, and this man is ready to financially take advantage of anyone who is in that position. He gave me some of the worst vibes I've ever had to be in a small room with, and honestly it has taken a couple of years to even process the trauma of the massage and uncharges I got as a result of trying this out in my time of desperation. I was in desperate need of a massage but was having trouble finding an appointment for two people that fit into out traveling plans. I called them expecting them to say no but what happened was that they gave us an appointment time for after they closed which worked perfectly and I am so grateful for. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Irene who was very sweet. I like firm hands and deeper massages and she definitely stays in tune with you and asks if the pressure is too much or too little. She also makes sure she gets the knots out. She will go back to a place if you still feel discomfort and make sure the knot is gone. You literally feel the relief. I had an issue that I have went to multiple doctors for including physical therapy and she had a completely different approach and she recommended ways to help it that wasn't just... come back here. She was very informative and you definitely feel good during. I wish she was closer to my hometown because I feel like I need a couple more sessions with her. read more

Definitely a valuable service to our community. In my life time I had suffered multiple back injuries and a fracture, this year it has finally caught up with me resulting in constant pain no matter what the activity. Sadly prescription pain management was not an option for me due to medication sensitivity. The crippling back pain, bilateral weakness, and temporary paralysis this year alone sent me to the ER for further evaluation with no answers. I was then misdiagnosis by a radiologist that triggered a slew of appointments with multiple specialists, a battery of tests in SD and MN over a course of 2 months resulting no answers from experienced clinicians in two states. Gather the clinicians were unable to find anything majorly wrong with me, they still could not figure out why I was having these symptoms. The symptoms continued to progressively limit my independence with work and home, I continued to do my own research and kept praying that I would find answers. I decided to interview several licensed massage therapists in the area to see if they had any thoughts on the symptoms, as it turns out God sent me to Graceful Touch as Guy was more than happy to answer my questions and address my ongoing issues. After my first massage session with Guy, he was able to relieve me of the ongoing back pain and bilateral weakness I had endured for several months. I noticed a dramatic improvement in just 1 week where I had regained my independence, literally no bilateral weakness in the legs or episodes of temporary paralysis, the symptoms had subsided. I already knew that 1 session was not going to resolve the ongoing issues I had suffered for months, even returned the following week for another session that has helped me tremendously, I'm able to sleep better these days without pain. I got whiplash during two massages! Please read the following letter to graceful touch massage as it outlines several points of negligence within patient care at Graceful touch massage. They refused to reimburse me for my massages in which the headrest collapsed during two different massages and caused a whiplash injury which ended up incurring chiropractic expenses. I would not bother with them as there are many other more professional places in the Rapid City area Where are you probably won't get whiplash: Guy Your waiver does not state anything about injury caused during your massage due to faulty equipment. It is clear you're unwilling to do the right thing by reimbursing me for my whiplash injury caused by your defective head rest which collapsed two massages in a row, causing me serious and diagnosed neck injury. At this point I will involve my attorney who will be contacting you. I will also be reporting you to your licensing board to inform them of the damage incurred and your negligence in preventing future injuries to your patients by not immediately replacing your faulty head rest, and I will be writing a poor review on various sites to warn others of your harmful practices and apathy regarding continuity of patient care. Furthermore, it is both unprofessional and illegal to create a fee for services model and not honor all services paid for in full as in when you attempted to say my last massage was " expired ". Another issue may want to examine is the practice of " membership " and automatic charges to peoples credit cards that are unauthorized. When I signed up for your package, it only indicated I was signing up for 4 masssges that I could use at my leisure... not a monthly fee that would automatically charge my card monthly for massages that expire if unused. I do not know what kind of ethics you practice in your business ( obviously flawed and certainly not Christan) but as a professional in the health care field for 20 years, if my patient reported issues with my services, and I knowingly refused to address their concerns, my license could be at stake , not to mention the integrity of the code of ethics to which I'm professionally bound to. I'm deeply disappointed that I came to you for stress reduction after a difficult time in my life to only be caused more stress and difficulty by your practices.
