This is a slightly different venue for me to review. However, I have recently had some experience here and wanted to share my findings.
My grandfather has recently moved in to Gracewell. He has advanced dementia and has spent time in and out of hospitals and different nursing homes over the past year or so. I went to view Gracewell with my father as we were not happy with his current placement. My initial impression was one of quality. The décor is lush. It is a fairly new home but, although it does still retain that new-ish feel, there is a comforting homeliness to the place. We absolutely loved it.
I went to visit my grandfather last week, a few days after the move, and was pleased to see how content he seemed. The staff are absolutely lovely and very attentive, always asking if you need anything. The food is of good quality and family members can also dine in the restaurant for a nominal charge. There is a lovely outside area where residents can relax and there is even a hair dressers on site. read more
