Unfortunately, after the class, the instructor told us that because it was hard for him to focus and he accidentally hit another child, we should 'bring him back in a few months.' While I understand every class has different teaching styles, it was discouraging to hear that instead of working with him where he's at, they suggested he come back when he's already more disciplined -- which, ironically, is what we hoped the class would help him with. I want other parents to know that if your child is energetic, hyperactive, or still learning self-control (as most toddlers are!), this may not be the right fit. I hope in the future the program will feel more welcoming to all kids, including those who could benefit most from what martial arts teaches.

Both instructors, Everett and Eric, were easy to meet/talk to as were all the students they instructed. The school has students of all ages, from young children to adults in their mid-50s, which made it really easy to find people with which I was comfortable training.
