The best part of the tour is to get the vibe for the city from within, getting to the most important spots just like the locals do: biking. The building was built to be a social gathering point, where family and friends could go for recreation and for a bath. Most homes didn't have bathroom at that time in history. Schoolchildren from Frederiksberg have leant to swim here ever since. Frederiksberg Svømmehal should not only be a place for the body but also for the mind. Wilhelm Lundstrøm did some beautiful mosaics for the walls. You can also find a lot of sculptures. I like the classic and functional look of building. Clearly the have done most of the conversion and modernization in the same spirit as it was done originally. At Frederiksberg Svømmehal you naturally can go for a swim and play in the water. Weekends and holidays they have a special area open for smaller children. It is also well renowned for the spa and wellness facilities. Fitness World also have a gym in the building. The 5th star could only come into play, if the got a 50 meter pool.

The studio is located in the heart of Copenhagen at Badehusstræde, so you can get there quite easily by train or a bus. I arrived there on a sunday, and in a hurry enterned the place. I was asked to take my shoes off in the front and was welcomed by the staff at the counter. After my check in the staff showed me personally around and told about the studio, the rules and other practical stuff. The studio has a lounge area where yoga participants can sit and enjoy a hot cup of tea and snack, or just hang around.. On that sunday, after my tour, I was sitting in the lounge area, and by coinsidence bumped into the owner of the studio who I briefly talked to about yoga, my injuries etc. He offered to show me some yoga poses which might help loosen up my body due to my injuries.. We walked into the hot room and he showed me some poses, which I really liked and found helpful. Now the time was for the hot vinyasa yoga class to begin and we started practicing yoga. The room is 36 degrees, so yes it's warm in there.. The instructor was really nice, professional, patient and friendly. The class passed so quickly and before I knew it the class ended and I was completely sweaty after, what I felt was an intense workout.. The yoga studio have male/female dressing rooms with showers, so I directly jumped into the shower. After that I approvhed and talked to the owner again and we agreed on some personal training classes in order to recover from my injuries.. That was 12 days ago, and out of the 12 days I have been there for 10 classes.. I feel a big difference in my body and would gladly recommend the place to every one. Today I had my first personal training session, it really makes a difference, and I feel great. I have the mindset that I have nothing to lose, and this really helps. Yoga is giving, relaxing and so comforting. Definetly recommandable..

This was my first out-of-USA crossfit experience, so I was probably expecting something different…read more I tried to facebook message them to ask about dropping in, and didn't get a reply until the day after I went...they said I posted to the wrong page. I came about 15 minutes before class and Coach Mateus was friendly and collected my 100 krones. Nobody warmed up before class, which is very unusual to me. Everyone just sat on the bench, and at 9 AM, everyone went on the floor and started the mobility workout. Every time I've visited an out of town box In the states, the coaches introduce you as a visitor. This didn't happen. Coach did translate the WODs from Dansk, as I had no idea what we were doing. We had a partner WOD, and my partner, Satch, was very nice and great to workout with. The WOD was challenging, and Mateus gave me useful feedback on my technique. It's a very cool box, though, with white tile walls, in an old slaughterhouse. It's a short walk from the Central Railway Station too, though I walked from Christianhavn, which took about 30 minutes.
