He is very professional and…read moreuses reference manuals to check things when he recommends medications, i appreciate a dr who will consult the manual because i don't expect him to remember everything. I appreciate the clinic does some charity care and has a program to help unemployed people get insurance coverage thru volunteerism. Dr. Valerio has recommended a number of no medication things for me to avoid taking pills for things. I don't do well taking drugs consistently and he has great suggestions if you just talk to him. Like most Doctors they are always in a hurry, but several visits i needed more attention and got it. The office is pretty good about getting you in when you need to see him and the online billing at the clinic is very nice. The process to get there is streamlined and the office isn't overly fancy but effective. I don' t need to pay for them to have a lavish office with my office visit charges. In the years i've seen them, i've never got a late fee, error on a bill, or had to deal with hassles related to the clinic. The onsite lab is very nice as well as the other medical disciplines they have right in the clinc.

I…read morepreviously used a major university's health clinic in another city and state and had gotten used to having the wait at least a month to get an appointment. Then once at the appointment, long waits were the norm in the waiting room and examination room. OHSU's Gabrial Park clinic blew me away by how easy it was the schedule appointments and how quickly they get you in to see the doctor once you arrive. Super fast and professional. I've only been for a check-up and blood work, but the service was excellent all around and again, the speed in which they got you in and out was phenomenal. Easy to find location and plenty o' parking too!

I have a lot of things wrong with me both physically and emotionally, and she spends a minimum of 1/2 hour with me every time I go to see her. Since she and I are both spiritual, she is always willing to pray with me and you cannot imagine how wonderful that is. She is caring, thorough, compassionate, and concerned. I have two friends who also go to her, and they also have had nothing but wonderful experiences. The clinic Dr. Creitz is associated with is also wonderful. The staff is great and the clinic does all kinds of things for the community that wins them awards. One, year they provided health insurance for the uninsured and their only requirement was that the recepients had to do so many hours of community service. Another time, they gave gym memberships to those who could not afford it. These are but two of the wonderful things they have done and do. Alas, Dr. Creitz is not accepting new patients at this time. But, I could not pass up an oppurtunity to tell you about the most wonderful doctor in the whole wide world. May everyone be so lucky when it comes to doctors.

Revising my original review as I've had additional challenges relating to the incompetence of front…read moredesk staff. I have been trying for three weeks now to get a simple statement showing my payments to MFCC for FSA substantiation and just now received an email bounceback that their office is closed all week. Firstly, it's impossible to reach the front desk - voicemail only. Then they call you back from an unlisted number, so it's impossible to know who is calling. Argh. Then, the doctor requires that you submit new patient paperwork via email for her to review before you are allowed to make an appointment. The reason given is that she might decide she doesn't think you fit in her practice. It then takes a week to hear back after emailing over the paperwork. after which, you need to follow up with them, if you want an appointment. No courtesy call the day before to remind you there's an appointment, so you call to see what's doing there and have to let it ring out and call again. Receptionist answers finally and confirms yes, you do have an appointment. You arrive 10 minutes early, then wait until 25 mins past the start of your appointment time to speak with the Doctor. The Doctor is thorough and nice (if quite defensive about being called out for being so late). Attempts by staff to draw blood - the student MA's attempt is painful and she aborts mission. (Bruise is already looking pretty gnarly) Bring in the senior tech to have a go at the other arm - who can't find a vein and aborts mission after digging around for a bit. At this stage, I've been at their office for 1 Hr 40 mins. They tell me they will write a script to go to a lab and have blood drawn. Knowing my personal compliance level to find the time to drive to yet another appointment is very low, tell them not to bother. Needless to say, despite friendly student medical assistant and thorough/friendly Doctor, I'm still in the market for a new GP. A busy schedule, low tolerance for being gratuitously poked with needles and a general aversion to waiting = this probably isn't the right place for me.

I have been with Dr. Carr for many years and she is one of the most caring and friendly doctors I have ever been to. She makes it feel like a true family doctor visit. Its rumored that in the future they are going to have natural medicines and massage therapist. Its truly a one stop shop.
