Even the camera picked up how dry this brisket is
Lisamarie H.

The brisket and pulled pork was inexcusably dry. If I wasn't in a rush to get to the airport, I would've sent it back. Not that I had the opportunity to tell my waitress anyway since she disappeared until it well after I was finished eating and waiting upfront to pay my bill. Americans know what good bbq is, they'll wait in line for it, they'll travel for it, THIS was none of that. It was completely dead at lunch rush time on a Friday, what does that tell you about this place?

New restaurant. According to our waitress, Dee, it's owned by the restaurant next door. I had the brisket. This is usually a gamble outside the state of Texas, but I have to say it was great. Exceptionally tender and good flavor! My wife had the baby back ribs-- two thumbs up! Friendly help. Clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. Check it out.

Crab legs delighted all

What a find! We stopped because of a crab sign and ordered everything! Kids loved the home style fried chicken and ribs. Brisket was a little dry, pulled pork was sumptuous, sides of potato salad, loaded potato, corn on cob and Mac n cheese, did not disappoint. The crab was excellent! Fried pickles, fried fish (excellent Tatar sauce) and burgers rounded out meal. We loved the bbq sauces at the table. Just the home feeling we needed after a day at beach.

Took my family out for a late lunch, Good experience. Food was excellent, prices are good and really nice service. Oh and my husband and uncle loved the baked beans, tri-tip, brisket and pulled pork.

4 rib lunch plate with 2 sides and bread $10 ribs were tender, juicy and mild (so you can add your own sauce)

My first visit and I was pleased. I was told about the $4.99 lunch special. A pulled pork sandwich and one side. It was very good. Not too dry, not too moist, not too salty, not too smokey. A perfect mouthy canvas for some sweet bbq sauce. The slaw was simple and good like Moms. My son had the 4 ribs plate which came with the baby back or regular ribs. He enjoyed them very much as they were tender, juicy and not coated with over seasoning. They looked plain but he liked them alot and used very little sauce. The baked beans were a bit lackluster but sometimes less is more. Our waitress was super sweet and productive. Give this family owned restaurant a try.

Good chicken

Been a year since we had lunch here (and it was GREAT then), current menu changes were pretty disappointing. Ordered the pulled chicken. In the end, it was just ok.

Smokehouse burger with fried okra

Good tasting place, see pictures of current dinner menu. Not a lot food to pick from, meat is a little dry but tasty sauce is in bottles on the table so no worries. We had the smoke house burger, fully loaded, cooked at medium. Pulled pork platter with two sides which were fried okra and side salad (out of Mac and cheese). Another platter but with a delicious baked potato! Wine is okay but then again we merely ordered the house wine.

Blackened chicken sandwich and onion straw- my husband said the sandwich is the best

We were looking for a quick snack near our hotel and when we found this place. "They have the best blackened chicken sandwich," said my picky husband who does not use use Yelp. LOL. I just had a seasoned fries which I loved, costs $3.50 but silly me for asking a tiny cheese sauce that costs $2 , I know I wasn't really thinking. The outside of the building is not really appealing. They have an outdoor bar where you can smoke but we chose to be seated indoor. They have nice selection of food and drinks at an affordable price. Nice bartender and servers as well.

Tri tip dinner.

It was not the value, though with the daily special of one meat with a salad bar and the kids eat free add-on deal, the value was outstanding at a little more than $20 for three of us (all in). It was not the facility, though that was quite comfortable and clean. It was not the location, though that was easy to find and very navigable with easy parking. The thing that stood out were the people. Specifically, the person who took my order was probably the nicest person I've ever met as a worker in a restaurant that I've visited. Our grandson had fallen asleep in the car and my wife stayed put with him to let him sleep. She was not particularly hungry anyway and just asked me to bring her something small. The special with salad bar, brisket and drink did the job nicely as I could eat the salad and save the brisket for my wife (perhaps sneaking one strip of it for myself). But the person waiting on us offered to let me have the kids meal free even though my grandson was not inside with me. It turned out he woke up and they came in a few minutes later and she offered my wife and our grandson both free drinks while they were there. She offered my wife a trip to the salad bar on the house as well for being a good sport to stay with our grandson while he slept. When I thanked her for all of this, she mentioned that she tried to be kind to everyone. She said that it cost her nothing to do so. I told her that was true but at the same time, it was priceless. Her general demeanor with a constant smile on her face is what I will remember about this place. She clearly belongs in a people-facing job. People still make the ultimate difference and AI can never replace that no matter how sophisticated it gets.

We grabbed seats at the bar, and right out of the gate the experience was mission-ready. The girls behind the bar were awesome, friendly, attentive, and just had that effortless vibe that makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. Now the food... wow. Everything came out fresh, hot, and absolutely dialed in. The burgers were stacked and juicy, the sandwiches loaded, and those sidewinder fries? Forget it. Crispy, golden perfection. You can tell nothing sat under a heat lamp, this was all cooked to order and launched straight to the table. Best way I can describe it given the location... This wasn't just good food, it was a full-on flavor liftoff. Like sitting a few miles from Cape Canaveral and watching a rocket punch through the atmosphere, everything about this meal just took off and didn't look back. Great people, killer food, laid-back atmosphere... this place hits on all cylinders. We'll definitely be back for another launch

When we arrived, we did notice the outside could use a little TLC, but once inside, it was very clean and tidy. We were immediately greeted by both the hostess and bartender, and they were very friendly. We were seated right away and our drink orders were taken quickly. It took us a few minutes to go through the menu since we weren't familiar with the restaurant, and there are quite a few items to choose from. We ordered the "Crack Mac Snack" (macaroni and cheese) and added pulled pork and the biscuit bread. The food came out quickly, and we were not disappointed. The biscuit bread was absolutely amazing, rich, soft, and delicious (maybe a little too generous with the butter on top, but still delicious). It's a thick, hearty piece, about two inches high and roughly four inches square. The mac and cheese was a generous portion and easily enough to share, and it was really good. The homemade BBQ sauce was also a highlight. The only slight miss was my husband's Coke, which wasn't very sweet, possibly a calibration issue with the machine. Overall, this is definitely a spot worth trying if you're in Cocoa Beach and want something different. There's a lot on the menu, and we'll definitely be back.
