My husband and I came to the beach from Orlando for the day and wanted some barbecue for dinner. We decided to try Graham's Smokehouse and we are so glad we did! Our server, Jordan, was an absolute delight and very efficient. We had the barbecue chicken and the tri-tips...really delicious and generous portions. Prices were quite reasonable. I am just assuming since Grahams is right across the street that the smokehouse is related. Been going to Grahams for years and always enjoy a drink there. As far as Grahams BBQ goes. I would say that its about Sonnys quality maybe even a touch better. I ordered the half rack baby backs with potato salad, mac n cheese, and garlic bread. The mac n cheese was the weakest dish on the plate, the cheese had absolutely no taste. The potato salad tasted store bought. Not Publix but maybe Walmart mustard style. The tiny piece of garlic toast was tasty. The ribs were very tender but half leaned towards the fattier side. I like some fat on my baby backs but these had just to much fat on them. Not that I had the opportunity to tell my waitress anyway since she disappeared until it well after I was finished eating and waiting upfront to pay my bill. I'll start off by admitting that this place likely suffers a bit due to the amazing BBQ that was served by previous BBQ restaurant that was in this location. If you ever came here and ate at Madd Jack's in this location - this is NOT that place. That being said, I finally decided to go and try out the BBQ here after being a bit repelled by the garish outside painting decorations. Just a bit too cheesey for my tastes. If you've ever been in a location that has a Mattress Barn, it reminded me a bit of that place before I even walked in the door. There were 3 of us in my party. None of us had been here and 1 of us had never eaten at the previous BBQ joint. We all came away with the same opinion. The search for a good Cape Canaveral area BBQ joint continues. Here's why... The waitress took our order for sweet teas and brought us 3 glasses and remarked that she wasn't sure if the sugar had been added yet. When one of us tried it and said no, she took the one glass away and came back 5 minutes later with a sweet tea. Not all 3 of them...just the one. Hmmm...weird. More on that in a minute. When we asked for a recommendation, she gave one, said it was not on the menu, asked the cook (I think he was, at least) to verify they had it (he said yes) and we placed our order with the first person getting the special. By the time the last person ordered, the cook came back around in a walking drive-by and said they didn't have it after all. Back to the menu he went. We ordered 2 BBQ pork sandwiches and 1 brisket sandwich. All 3 were a bit on the dry side but the pork was noticeably drier than the brisket. The flavor was fine but nothing noteworthy. The sauce bottles were crudely labeled and sticky from top to bottom. The ketchup bottle was empty and the replacement one that came looked like the plastic bottle had been through a war zone. We finally asked for our 2 remaining sweet teas and we received one plastic cup of ice and sweet tea to share between us (3 male coworkers, in case you're wondering). We were offered free ice cream but we were all just anxious to wash our hands and depart at this point. The bathroom is another issue to talk about, but just know this - it's dirty. The ice cream? Yeah, it's a soft serve machine located right in the main serving room like at a buffet place. Overall, it was ok, but severely lacking. I don't see myself going back or even recommending it. I passed this place on my way to my hotel and decided to stop in with my family, let me start with the pros... The barbecue sauce was very good spicy and sweet that is the best that I can say about this place. Unfortunately I went based on the reviews on yelp and I was very disappointed the ribs had No flavor or seasoning it had mild grill flavor as if it was baked in the oven and put on the grill to achieve the grill taste, the ribs were very light... Next the collards were very bland no flavor tasted like it was boiled with no seasoning unacceptable for greens! And last the coleslaw howwwwww can you go wrong with coleslaw... Maybe my expectation of barbecue is high but I am very disappointed..very unfortunate that I wasted $20 bucks and im now waiting on my room service... What a find! We stopped because of a crab sign and ordered everything! Kids loved the home style fried chicken and ribs. Brisket was a little dry, pulled pork was sumptuous, sides of potato salad, loaded potato, corn on cob and Mac n cheese, did not disappoint. The crab was excellent! My first visit and I was pleased. I was told about the $4.99 lunch special. A pulled pork sandwich and one side. It was very good. Not too dry, not too moist, not too salty, not too smokey. A perfect mouthy canvas for some sweet bbq sauce. The slaw was simple and good like Moms. My son had the 4 ribs plate which came with the baby back or regular ribs. He enjoyed them very much as they were tender, juicy and not coated with over seasoning. They looked plain but he liked them alot and used very little sauce. A very limited menu, but that's okay...you know you came here for basic barbecue, not a fancy foodie dish. Graham's Smokehouse is a classic no-frills bbq joint, with a nice homey decor. Order up a plate of brisket or pulled pork, make a sandwich with the garlic bread, slather it with homemade sauces. It's all good. Almost all. I wasn't impressed by the baked beans. Fat Boy's set the standard, and even Sonny's does a good interpretation, but I think I was served some canned Sysco beans. I could be wrong, but if I am then Graham's needs to work on their recipe. I was really hoping that I could say that this place was great, but I can't. I ordered the 1/2 fried chicken. When it came, I was surprised that I had been served 2 leg quarters (thigh and leg attached). I told the waitress that a half chicken consisted of a leg, thigh, breast and wing, not 2 thighs and 2 legs. She went off to the kitchen and returned to tell me that what I had received was a half chicken to them. Also, think about how hard up a restaurant must be to charge you $14.95 for all dark meat. My corn was also undercooked and hard as a rock. My tator tots most likely cam from the Publix frozen isle. Not good at all ...... My dad had pork which he claims was ok, but the potato salad looked like butter and his onion straws were basically fried batter. Since I wrote this review, I have noticed quite a few 4 and 5 star reviews popping up on this site as well as others. Do not be fooled !!!! These are all from employees, friends and family. We were looking for a quick snack near our hotel and when we found this place. "They have the best blackened chicken sandwich," said my picky husband who does not use use Yelp. LOL. I just had a seasoned fries which I loved, costs $3.50 but silly me for asking a tiny cheese sauce that costs $2 , I know I wasn't really thinking. The outside of the building is not really appealing. They have an outdoor bar where you can smoke but we chose to be seated indoor. They have nice selection of food and drinks at an affordable price. We are in Cocoa almost every weekend. Decided to try this place. Very disappointing. Not good BBQ at all. Sunday afternoon, only one other table there. Ordered the brisket. I've never had dry, lean overcooked brisket. Not a stitch of fat for some moisture or flavor. Dry, over cooked meat w/ no taste. I had to coat it in the Carolina sauce just to be able to swallow it. It even had an odd outer color (red/pink line) and then weird brown center. The collard greens were bland, the pieces of meat in the greens was odd? Pork? It is now Grahams Smokehouse and I'm ignoring the local flap between other restaurant owners. The three of us ordered tritip, pulled pork and a burger. All the mains were great. We both got the combo platter with brisket and tri tips. never had tri tips, waitress said it's like prime rib and a little fatty like prime rib. it tasted just like steak! my favorite part of the meal. the brisket was delicious too, so tender you could pull it apart with a fork. Onion petals are a must as an appetizer or a side. Very lightly breaded and fried, light and delicious and came with their petal sauce which just made them even better. 4 choices of BBQ sauces on the table, I really liked the "sweet". Definitely worth a stop in if you love BBQ. If we were staying in the area longer we'd definitely make a return trip. read more

This has to be by far the WORST Smokehouse BBQ Place in Cocoa Beach. We walked in with a Large Party, they sat us quickly and I noticed it was empty inside even though it was Dinner time. We placed our orders/drinks with the Waitress, we received our Drinks partially (4sodas) received, (2budlights) never received. We gave the Waitress a break knowing we had a Large Party, after several minutes about 20 minutes later, we requested the 2 Budlights again, she said, "they would be right out." After 50 minutes of waiting for the Budlights and Food, the Waitress came out and told Us that they ran out of Chicken after that we decided to leave. We should have known that this Place was not a real Smokehouse when we drove in the Parking Lot and it was empty and there was no smoke coming out of anywhere. Simply put; nobody with a brain who has ever had good BBQ would give this place 5 stars. Nobody who has ever eaten at a restaurant, EVER, would give this place 5 stars. We ordered two dinners, with two different entrees and 4 separate sides, to share. Everything, yes everything, was at best room temperature or colder. Baked beans and Mac-n-Cheese were mundane and cold. Corn on the cob came out as regular, spoonable corn (no cob) with shriveled, gross kernels. I guess the cole slaw was passable, but I didn't try it. My date ate a few bites and no more. The ribs had flavor, but again, nothing spectacular and COLD! Most disappointing was the brisket. Ok in flavor (but cold) and a minuscule portion. Literally just 4 skinny strips. Not even enough to have made a sandwich with, let alone a dinner entree. I can't picture myself going back to Graham's anytime soon, unless they make some, very real, very serious adjustments. Maybe the employees and friends who made up these great reviews will keep them in business... but I doubt it. read more

I must have gotten all the fat from everyone else's overly lean sandwiches, My brisket was so fatty as to be almost inedible, and my husband's"half-pound" burger was mediocre and way on the small side of a half pound. They have a rather mean-spirited sign that says "We say Merry Christmas, God bless America and salute the flag...If this offends you, leave."
