We decided to try this place after reading a few reviews. It was a busy Thursday night so unfortunately the restaurant was full. However they were able to offer the exact same menu in the bar which suited us just fine. We immediately realised when we sat down that this was going to be an evening of exceptional service. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. They took their time to explain the menu and I even was given an impromptu wine tasting. This isn't a 5 star fine dining restaurant but rather the food that comes from the hearts of those from Brazil. Delicious home style food but is served with care, warmth and generosity. I can't recommend them enough! This is why I love using yelp...to find places off the main strip and eat like a 'local'.

Ribeye steak ,roasted veg and mashed potato with mushroom sauce.

This probably the best steakhouse I have been too. The staff there were amazing, great service and meals are well priced.

the service was incredible look out for the spices though I went with my family and pressured my dad to eat a Carolina reaper that didn't go well...

Beers are served in 200, 400, and 500mL formats with some strong IPA's, DIPA's, and even a robust stout on tap. Blenheim is quite near to Wellington therefore you'll eye a good number of tap handles occupied by breweries from the area. Food is of the German-fare, but they also have pizza and burgers. The Pork Knuckle served over a hefty bed of mashed potatoes seemed quite revered which the guy gluttonized over since it was just about the heartiest pork knuckle meal I've ever laid mine eyes on. Like woah! I will never forget it! I, on the other hand, went with another favorite in the form of the Fish and Chips (19.5 NZD). Theirs is made with a wheat beer battered Hoki fish, tartare sauce a salad, and requisite chips on the side. Batter was a little cakey, but with the best crunch. The salad was appreciated to bite through this heavy meal while helping the guy some with his massive slab of pork. The fun and laid back atmosphere of this cavernous beer garden with outdoor patio served as a great night cap though it is your typical pub experience in the end with heavy, greasy food and strong beers.

Fish and chips was outstanding! Others got pork schnitzel and fish sandwich. Can't comment on the…read morebeer as I was the DD..

Lunch was very nice- chicken, salad, eggplant and arancini starter and ice cream dessert. The wines are OK, they are not top end wines more middle of the road but nice. Service for our large group was very good. Beer and soft drinks were also available. There are a couple of nice lookout points in the building. Be sure to stop by the vines out front which show case all their varieties. You can taste the grapes!

We ended up visiting on Valentine's Day - not planned, just how the dates worked. The winery was busy with guests doing tastings and eating lunch when we arrived. There is gorgeous outdoor seating in the patio courtyard area, and more inside. It is well appointed and expertly decorated. We were warmly greeted and awaited our tour to start our experience. Little did we know, the head winemaker would be giving us our tour! He took us to the viewpoint of the vineyards on the top floor, out to the vines in the front, down into the cellar to taste a vintage, and then back up for our official tasting. His knowledge was truly spectacular, and welcoming nature made us feel so at home. Then, we embarked on our tasting - enjoying a few different Sauv Blanc variations - and our favorite, FRIVOLI! This was like a sparkling rose that might be the best thing we've ever drank. We paired it with some entrees that were all divine - the gnocchi, the duck, and eggplant to share. All five stars, top notch quality fare! Perfect pairings with the wine. Of course, we had to take some Frivoli for the road. What an incredible experience - can't recommend it enough!

Bebemos, a Latin inspired restaurant, looked good so we went in. We arrived for a late lunch/early dinner (around 5:15pm) and the place was busy. Must be because of happy hour (3:00pm to 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday). Beers are $7.00/pint and sangria is $15.00/jug! The inside is super cool with flamingo and pineapple decor to lemur inspired wallpaper. Serious tropical/hipster vibes. The outside beer garden is huge and has a favela bar. There's 10 beers/ciders on tap. No flights but they do let you sample before committing to buy one. We tried the boysenberry sour and elderflower cider. Sadly, we didn't like either. There's a brunch and dinner menu. Dinner menu is broken into small plates, large plates, burgers and dessert. Service was friendly and food came out pretty quickly. - Beer-battered fries ($8.50 NZD) - rosemary and garlic fries with chili mayo. These were top notch. Perfectly battered and great crunchy texture. Chili mayo paired magically. - Pan-fried greens ($9.00 NZD) - green beans, broccolini and zucchini with crispy chickpeas and lemon. Good variety of veggies. Oddly, they kept all the vegetables long (like the broccolini). Pretty simple but nice if you want to eat healthy. - Moqueca de peixe ($38.00 NZD pot for two) - Bahian seafood stew of prawns, fish, mussels, red peppers, tomato, coriander, coconut milk and rice. You get 7 mussels and a couple prawns and fish. Not a whole lot of seafood for the price. The sauce needed a heavier hand with the seasoning. We weren't too impressed. The rice on its own was bland too. Seems to be a popular spot for after work drinks. I'd stick with the drinks and the small plates to share. 3.5 stars.

A decent selection of beers and an outdoor area make Bebemos a potentially good place to start a night out or stay and enjoy the live music. I can recommend the fejoada (pork n beans) if you are hungry and want something hearty!
