There are over 15 types of meats on display, 4+ types of cheeses, lots of Mediterranean veggies & of course cold beer and soda ready to go. If you're early there are no lines, around lunch expect to wait 15-20 minutes to order. They are a bit picky with what you can put in but you mostly have free reign. This place was so good I ate here twice in the same day. First sandwich had sun-dried tomatoes, bacon, spiniata calabrese, pecorino cheese & provolone. It was amazing! The second time I had to go for the Roman Porchetta with gruyere, fresh onions & sun-dried tomatoes. The meats are seasoned so well & the cheeses are terrific. We walked in to Gran Ristoro like lost tourists, because that's exactly who we were - can't speak or read a word of Italian but hungry for some authentic Italian food, and hence, didn't know what or how to order since nothing was written in English. We asked a lady to make us 2 sandwiches she would order for herself, and so she started putting different cuts of meat, cheese and veggies together into their sandwich buns whilst letting us sample her selected cuts and cheeses. She was super friendly, smiles and all, and trying to communicate with us as best she could. Most importantly, the two sandwiches she concocted for us were savory and delicious combinations. She used certain cuts of porchetta, prosciutto, cheeses and pickled veggies that just screamed FRESH and flavorful. They looked really simple but tasted amazing, and that only happens with the best ingredients! I also picked up a cappuccino from their bakery next door and it was 1 Euro! Pure awesomeness. A fantastic hole in the wall place of authentic Italian cured meats and other traditional panino toppings. After counting more than 25 kinds of salumi, I lost count. 2 panini cost us about 8 euro.
