This movie theatre is relatively small on the inside with more limited showings than one would expect. These theaters have interesting seating with both recliners and regular seats, although they are the same price. I like the ticket prices. The last time I came, the women's restroom had three out of four dysfunctional sinks. read more

They have reclining chairs! I think that's all I really care about when I go to the theaters But aside from the chairs, the theater was very clean too. I've gone to small local theaters and the sits are sticky and floor is dirty, but this theater was very clean. The price was pretty reasonable, I went with my husband and it was 6.25 ea ticket on Sunday morning at 10:50 showing. I think the prices differ by the time of showing. I can't remember the last time I've been to an independently-owned theater. This was worth it - great price, good theater, and nice service. I came here with a friend to watch Deadpool and Wolverine. Matinee prices go for most of the day unlike other theaters. My friend was going to be a bit late so I got his tickets. Just $11 total and movie was in 3D. Even then, evening prices looks reasonable as well. Ticket stand staff was nice enough to let my friend in without having the physical ticket so I could go ahead and sit down. Weren't given the 3D glasses at first but staff were very proactive about finding glasses. We were in theater 5. Seats had some wear and tear. Honestly didn't feel any different. And I don't mind since I'm looking at the movie screen, not staring at the seat. Now this point might make me sound a bit nitpicky - the floors were kinda too squeaky and felt almost slippery. Otherwise, no issues. Sound quality in the theater was fine. But I also do wish it was a bit darker inside. read more

Awesome cute local theater! My family lives in Belton so we went for a movie - such great prices! Theater was clean and the seats were comfy. Some of the theaters I believe have recliners so I'll try that next time since those are even more comfortable. Looks like many of the local youth work here which I thought was cute. I Like this place! The workers literally read our mind whenever we get our snacks! The seats are comfortable and the commercials aren't long. Their NACHOS are not soggy and the slurpees are good. Belton's little known Grand Avenue Theater is a hidden gem right here on Main Street behind the Jack in the Box and Churches Chicken. If you aren't looking for it you'll definitely miss it! I love that for such a small theater (four screens) they have all and more of the amenities of big city theaters! 1. Reserved Seating (with four different "types" of seats. 2. Concessions with all the regular movie goodies - fresh popped popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, candy etc. 3. Full service Kitchen on site - we've had chicken wings, burgers, fries and pizza (you can download the full menu if you get the app!) 4. They also serve Blue Bell ice cream AND a limited number of Starbucks coffees, Fraps n Drinks! 5. Their prices??? Def NOT big city (I paid 19 for a movie ticket in CA just last week!! ) their EVENING price is just $9! They have a nice little sitting area inside as well as "patio" seating outside if you just want to stop in for a snack, or order your food at the concessions and they will buzz you in theater when it's time to pick up! This theater is a gem! Low prices for food and tickets compared to theaters elsewhere. It has this old fashioned design. The workers are very accommodating. For example, my family by accident bought tickets for the wrong day, showed up a day later, (on the day we thought we purchased tickets for) and Janet easily switched our tickets to a later date without charging us. Super appreciative for the small town accommodation that we didn't get when we lived in a larger city. read more

Great fun & hometown experience. Love the big screen & popcorn. Kid friendly. Lots of convenient showtimes.

Great theater although the snack bar could be more efficient, they are really really slow at times. The theaters are nice and clean as are the restrooms. Some of the recliners in the bigger theaters could use a reupholster and other repairs. although the broken recliners appear to be greyed out and not selectable when reserving seats online. Food from the snack bar restaurant is delicious and is served on trays that are supported by the chair cup holder. I recommend the Philly cheesesteak pizza. I do not recommend the nachos... you get a very small tray of nachos and if you want chili and jalapeños they are a $1 up-charge each making a try of nachos the size of your palm $8... the snack bar does sell large plastic "grande avenue" logo-ed cups and popcorn buckets that you can bring back for other movies and refill for $2 which is nice. Really nice to keep going to the movies affordable for the locals. All in all Grand Avenue is one of the best theaters in Bell county IMHO. read more

I love that this theater is independently-owned, instead of being part of a chain. I went recently and had a great time! The employees are friendly and very good at customer service. I love that the design is like that of movie theaters from the old days, including the soda fountain! I ordered hot dogs along with my soda and candy. They were so good! Tucked behind the local Sonic and a Jack-in-the-Box is a wonderful movie theater. From the moment you park, you get to enjoy music in the parking lot as you walk into the cinema. Once inside, you are greeted with welcoming staff (many are young and attend the local college / high school). In addition to the standard movie theater fare, is a bistro off to the side that offers amazing food (note: I've been told this bistro delivers via the "waitr" app and is quite popular for folks to get food delivered to their homes). The theater also offers reserved seating and lay flat types of chairs if you are so inclined (get the pun??). All first run movies; prices are fair - it's a good value for being a local venue.
