Lots to do for all skill levels. You can easily spend a whole afternoon here working on tricks or cruising around. Definitely a shred at your won risk place. No lifeguard on duty. Probably not the best place to drop your kids or tweens off unattented for hours though.

As well as a couple of nice adult swings for the grownups to sit on and watch the kids. There are also places for the kids, and adults too, to get in the water. . As a bonus, the bathrooms are kept very clean and are nicer than any park bathroom I have ever been in. If you haven't been here yet, just do it!

There are two bath houses on the peninsula, and the park does a nice job keeping them clean. Because of the proximity of the water, none of the sites have sewer hook-ups, but there is one on the main road near the park entrance. Some of the sites are nicer than others (large and level vs. small and angled). The site I had originally paid for was not nice, and I would have struggled to get a 20-foot trailer on it. Fortunately, there was another option open, and we got a nice waterfront spot to spend a few days on. Great destination campground! Totally recommend!

We are avid players and moved to the Indian Oak on SOUTH COVE to be able to use the courts. We have spoken to the project manager Scott Schutt several times. He stated that they contracted a company that is behind in the work, first it was Jan, Feb, Mar. now it is July 23rd. The last excuse was that the court was poured but it was not level and it had to be torn up again. A construction company who can't pour a level asphalt court, how many levels of incompetency are involved in the management of this park. I noticed the Pavilion for parties has been closed for this time also.

The Veil section is probably my favorite part, it's a picture I see when someone mentions "waterfalls". I didn't hike down to the Sluice section as it didn't seem worth the effort after seeing the Cascades and Veil sections. ** excerpt from Richard R's amazingly detailed review and great tips "The hike is short to the first section of the falls known as "The Cascades." This is a highly appropriate name since this section really is more of a series of cascades than a waterfall. On the day of my visit, there had been several days of rain making the trail extremely muddy, but also making the falls extremely full! The flow was so strong that it was hard to see where the Cascades separated from the second section known as The Veil. You reach 'The Cascades' by following the trail on the right after the information board. You will go uphill slightly before making your descent down to the cascades. You will hear the falls long before you reach them. The downhill trail to the cascades is relatively easy, but it gets far more difficult when you continue downhill to see the two lower sections. NOTES: This is a class three hike, meaning you will need both hands to navigate the steepness of the trail. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND good hiking boots and a backpack for any camera, phone or other items you might carry in your hand. You will definitely need both hands to hold on to branches, tree roots or whatever you can find. * SCOUTING TIP - It is better to take the higher routes as you navigate your way to the lower falls. * SCOUTING TIP 2 - This trail IS NOT suitable for young children or anyone who doesn't have sure balance. Your legs, knees and upper body will be heavily used! * SCOUTING TIP 3 - DO NOT bring a walking stick. Again, you will need both hands to navigate this trail safely. I personally did not see the advantage to hiking down to the base of the second section known as 'The Veil'. However, if you are feeling adventurous, you can actually walk behind this section of the falls on low flow days. The trickiest part of the trail is finding your way to the base of 'The Sluice' section. At first I considered forgoing the hike since it was rather steep, but another hiker on his way up showed me pics on his camera that convinced me to continue. The greens and cart fee were fair given the outstanding conditions of the course and carts. Beautiful course and scenery. Greens were relatively fast (maybe an 11 on Stimp). The pro shop staff and bag attendants were helpful and courteous. Carts were loaded with courtesy cooler/ice/water. Crossed paths with the cart girl three times during play. Pace of play for a full course on a Friday morning tee time was 4:05 which is fine by me as it was the first time playing and wanted just a hair more time on each shot. If you are a mid-handicap or higher, play the white tees first and then move to the mix of white/purple for the second round as you become more familiar. Will be coming back next month for another round. Practice facility and turn-house should be re-opening in October as that was completely overhauled. Have lunch adjacent to the pro shop at the Lucky Duck Cafe, it was very good as well!

I went here with a group of kids ages 10 all the way down to 1, and they all had a great time. The ground is nice and spongy, so it's easy for toddlers to walk on compared to wood chips, and it prevents injuries when the kids fall. There are multiple different play areas, and my girls loved the "obstacle course" as they called it, which was basically just a route around the play equipment without touching the ground. There are bathrooms nearby and a covered picnic area if you want to pack a lunch. 2 thumbs up for Cleveland Park! *Added bonus: you are so close to the zoo that can hear the lemurs when they get rowdy, which is a plus if you are an animal lover :)
